Love these especially that they show faith messages. Going to do these for my church group.
They are great gift's!
I absolutely love this idea! I didn’t have the leather you used, so I substituted it with natural-colored Kraft Tex instead and, due to its sturdiness, it worked out beautifully! I don’t have a printing machine like yours either, but with some rubberstamps and various colored alcohol markers, I was able to achieve all sorts of fun & colorful designs; I even personalized some with names! I used some good old-fashioned self-shine cream shoe polish (brown) on a few, but I prefer the natural look, to tell you the truth. The Kraft Tex accepted the alcohol markers and shoe polish very well. I did get the magnets you suggested from Amazon which are perfect in size! And for a finishing touch, I added small grommets on the end tips of both sides after it was sewn. I've been having a ball with this project and I'm sure, knowing me, I'm gonna come up with more fun ideas as I go. Before we know it, Christmas will be here, so I’m on a roll making and storing them for stocking stuffers or trinket gifts for family & friends, and with the right packaging, they’ll look so cool. Thank you so much for sharing this project. ☺
Holy cow!! I would love to see pictures! If you want you can email me some at diyonthehouse@gmail.com

OLD Leather Smith here, very nice great job, beginners should be able 2 follow along easy. Suggestions, 2 help with edge dying and edging, go 2 a hardware or paint store and ask 4 paint steur sticks, use clips on each end 2 hold together with leather in center. Also works great 4 strops 4 swivel knife or sharping cutting knives. Burn the fuz off the wool daubers it makes it easier 2 use and neater. Try buck stitching on future projects it will look much better especially if you use a contrasting color. Questions please feel free 2 ask. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
WOW!! Thank you for the tips - truly appreciate it!
I just found this video and I LOVE this! Hope you're still checking for responses - i realize it has been awhile since you made this video. I have had so much trouble with magnets - there are several varieties in your link, can you tell me specifically which ones you used? I have wasted SOOOOO much money on magnets. I can't believe I am even considering another project with a magnet, but these are stunning! I don't have an engraver, but I have a couple other ideas to try. THANKS
Thank you!!! It is a fun project. These are the magnets that I used amzn.to/3ww8iVV
Have fun!!
@@DIYOnTheHouse don't mean to pester you, but on your link there are 4 varieties... PVC (round and square) and super strong (18 and 20 mm). The size probably isn't as important, but wondered if you used PVC or super strength. I'm so over getting burned with magnets. Thank you so very much.
@@kimhull2620 Understand! I did the square PVC ones - I just looked and it is 30 for $12.69. I have used them on several projects - and I think they work pretty good.
@@DIYOnTheHouse thank you so very much!
Not sure why you soaked the leather if you weren’t tooling a design? Please advise. Thank you.
On this project, I had to wet it to get the burn residue off from the engraver.
what type of magnet do you use?
I ordered them here amzn.to/3tHvlyR
