Interesting little setup, all kinds of technology for bee keepers today. Thanks for sharing
It's great that we have so many options and that prices are actually affordable. Thanks for watching!
Now the fun begins!!!! Thanks!
Look at you and that fancy get up... That's pretty cool! 😎
LOL! I wish I would have gotten it sooner. Makes filling bottles really easy!
It seems to fill faster than the Hillco, but that could also depend on honey temperature and settings.
Yes, I would think the Honey temp and viscosity would play a pretty big role in how well in flows through the tubes. When switching honey buckets, you'd also want to double check the filled bottle to make sure you don't need to make minor adjustments.
Thanks for watching!
Hillco has the duckbill nozzles,2 bucks ea
Forgot to ask how much was it and would you buy this model again? These reviews are so insanely helpful.👍👍
Hey Mike, It was $369 with Free Shipping and YES! I would buy it again. I'm actually thinking of getting another one to cover more presets for different bottle sizes. But.....it's also very easy to just key in a specified weight and bottle different sizes on the fly, so I'm not in a big rush to get another one just yet because of that.
OH😱a Vevor😓Chnia, china.😉
They are actually kind of cool, I just don't like Vevor's quality control.
😂Morning Blain(Blaine) Yt says I spell you name wrong.🤣
@dcsblessedbees Hey DC! Yeah, they could probably inspect them better as they come in, but I really do think the same place is making all of these and just rebranding them.
We'll see how it does.
The VEVOR pneumatic bottler I got is still holding up and doing good. Just not as quick to switch bottle sizes.
Thanks for the demo. I saw some reviews that mentioned the Vevor model's scale is inaccurate vs. some of the other similar machines on the market and your bottles in the video seem to be just slightly under filled. Do you feel the Vevor machine is accurate?
@theunlikelybeek Hi, thanks for stopping in.
Yes, I weighed every bottle after it was filled to make sure and they all came out right on the money or 1/10th of an ounce over. I had a couple that were 1/10th of an ounce under, but I just adjusted the VEVOR to dispense an extra gram and that fixed it.
Every bucket of Honey can be different, so you do have to calibrate any time you're switching buckets because moisture content of honey, etc. Can change the accuracy of how it is dispensed.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this machine and the price.
Slick. What temperature is your honey that you run through it
@MinnesotaBeekeeper Hey Mike,
I just pump it through at room temperature right now. It's coming out of a 5 gallon plastic bucket.
@@TexasBeekeeper No kidding, wow.
I have the same model. Mine is pumping, but cuts out after filling a bottle half way. How did you contact them?
@lomavistabeeco Hey Todd,
You go go on their web site and under the menu they have a "contact us" option. You should be able to do a live chat or just send a message.
You know, the more I think about this and also considering Mike's comment, I wonder if you're bottling pretty thin Honey?
The only reason I say that is, that I know when I was cleaning the system before first use, I remember that it didn't fill water all the way to the correct weight. So I'm just wondering if the thinner it is, the less likely it is to get a good fill?
Anyway, just wanted to throw that out there in case it might have something to do with it.
I’m having trouble getting the machine to pump anything (even water). It feels like there is no suction. Can you make a video on how to get it to work from the start?
i can try and get you that video. In the mean time, I'll try to explain so it will hopefully be quicker.
The hose that goes from the pump to the dispenser, you want to disconnect so that you can fill it with whatever it is that you want to pump (Priming the pump). If you still have the syringe that came with it, you can use that, otherwise, you could use a Honey Bottle, etc. to try and get the pump gears filled with Honey, water, etc. It may be easiest to disconnect it from the dispenser end so that you can put a decent amount in the hose.
Once you are confident that you have enough in the hose to where it's also in the "gearbox", you want to make sure the other end of your hose is in the bucket. Then you'll either put the machine in Auto or manual mode and begin dispensing.
I hope this helps you out for now.
I'll try to get you a video on it.
@@TexasBeekeeper I’ll give this a shot. Thank you!
How is it powered? 12volt or 110volt?
@@dwarlock1978 It's powered by 110 volt.
I've seen some that appear to come with a 12 V adapter, but this one is 110V .
Where did you find the info to learn how to set this up and program the upper preset buttons?
@dalonafoster3997 it comes with a manual and that gets you 90% of the way there.
The LCD also tells you some information like which button to press to increase the value and which to decrease, etc.
I could do a video on it soon if that would be helpful.
@@TexasBeekeeperThank you for the quick response!😊 I would love to see a video of how you programmed yours. I bought one of these units this week but it keeps restarting the machine mid-pour so I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong.
@@dalonafoster3997 I'll try and get you a video this week/weekend.
In the meantime, I'll try to explain to see if that helps.
M1,M2, M3 and M4 are the preset buttons. If you simply press a button, it will take you to that preset. There it will display the grams of that Preset.
If you hold down the M1, M2, M3 or M4 button it will take you into the setup for that preset.
From there if you look in the lower left of the LCD, it will tell you to press M3 or M4 for + and - . Doing this will adjust the grams either up or down. If you hold down M3 or M4 it will scroll through the numbers faster so that if you have a long ways to go, it will go a little faster.
You can also press M1 or M2 to scroll through the menu options withing the presets. You'll want to also set up a Target for the Empty bottle.
What you'll do there is put an empty bottle on the scale for each preset size. For example. Lets say that an 8 ounce bottle weighs 20 grams. You'll want to set the target for less than 20 grams, so that it will trigger the scale when the bottle is placed on it. So you may set it for like 15 grams.
And your Honey weight for 8 ounces would be somewhere around 227 grams.
When you're all set with the preset, you'll hit the CLR button to exit. Then you can long Press the next "M" button to set up another preset.
Once you're finished, all you'll need to do is select the preset that you want and you can begin filling that size.
If you have an odd size bottle to fill, like let's say, 19 ounces.... You can just set the grams by hitting the "SET" button and key in the Grams for 19 ounces. Then you can fill however many you need to and just select an "M" button when you want to switch back to a preset value.
The "PEEL" button is to tare the scale.
So if you have a half full 8 ounce bottle, and you want to fill the last 4 ounces in it, you could set a custom weight using the "SET" button and key in something around 114 grams. Then also double check the Target weight for the empty bottle. Then you can put the half full bottle on and quickly hit the "PEEL" button. now you just need to put an empty bottle on the scale off to the side somewhere just to trigger the filler to start filling and it will put 4 ounces into the half full bottle.
Another thing to keep in mind is that there is an Automatic Mode and a Manual Mode. To Toggle between these modes, you'll select the second button from the left on the bottom row. It will often say MA/AU.
I hope this helps some. I'll try and get that video up for you soon.
Good luck!
Please, if you can write model number for your machine
Hello, The model number is: SYC-5-X-V1
The link is also in the description if you need it.
I do not make anything from the link. It's just there for convenience.
