I love this episode purely because I had been wondering for so long why some betas had blue vs yellow eyes and for some reason I really like the explanation for it. I also love that we have two unreliable story tellers in Peter and Grandpapa but we actually get to see the truth so at least we know they were lying for sure.
ALL of the Talia Hale secrets...that lady was something special. Consider all of the possibilities of Peter's secrets she was trying to fix...cuz we KNOW that psychopath should have had blue eyes...he just never considered the people he killed as innocent.
It was an established thing in-universe that sometimes people will die when they get bitten instead of becoming a werewolf because the bite didn't take.
