Just received mine today. Super impressed so far. Surprised how well you can game straight off the tablet. Can't get an XG mobile yet here 😭
Might just get this over a tab s8 ultra or a surface pro 8. Already have a laptop and need a tablet, seems perfect for programming everywhere and productivity tasks. I hope they sell a sku for the i7/i9 without the dgpu, just need the compute power.
Oh for sure get this over those. This kills the Surface and S8 Ultra. I won't say iPad Pro cause that's basically its own realm for tablet. You'll always have the option to buy the EGPU in the future to complete it.

1. MSI Delta 15
2. Lenovo Legion 5
What would be better?
Asus rog laps are way too expensive, so it has to be out of those two

@@AdityaGupta-om8ez Kind of, but it wasn't xg mobile vs eGPU on the same machine -- it was xg mobile on the 2021 Ryzen based Flow X13 vs an eGPU on the Intel NUC M15. This year's model of Flow Z13 allows the test to be xg mobile vs eGPU using the exact same laptop. 👍

I tried to find out but they didn't properly get back to me on it. It sounds like they changed to 16gb max, some regions MIGHT get 32gb, but not confirmed.
i know its apples to oranges comparisons and not really suitable but i would love to have a reference desktop in the graphs just get instant idea of how much of a trade off the performance is or isnt
Is there a laptop or tablet with i7 12700H processor and Thunderbolt, but without a discrete graphics card (In order not to overpay) ?
To use it at the university for study, and when you come home, connect to egpu and work in Unity and Maya.

I just got the same set up but with the 2022 XG mobile 6850m XT. Would you be able to do a comparison with the 3080?
Hopefully you get the new XG Mobile soon so we can see if the Amd 6850 is worth waiting for over the 3080 model.
Btw has anyone had battery drain when using the tablets included 100w power brick? It’s not severe enough that I’d return it, but I’m just curious if this is normal? Maybe once I get my hands on an XG Mobile I won’t have this issue.
They're sending the 6850M XT one later this week. I didn't notice any drain during testing with the 100w brick that came with it. ASUS said other third party ones may cap at 65w for "reasons" though.

Jarrod you should try benchmarking elden ring in future videos its notorious for having stutters and being very performance hungry

Yeah but that game caps out at 60fps. So it doesn’t really make sense to benchmark it since the stuttering issues has little to do with graphics horse power and more the game just being coded poorly.
ik about the 60 fps cap but there are mods which can remove em
and besides its a popular title so maybe alot of ppl would be interested on how it runs on different hardware
Is it worth to purchase the i5 with Iris xe gpu version?
my biggest worry is if you connect the tablet to a monitor with or without the xg mobile can you get more than a 120hz refresh rate on 1080p? also would it be a good idea to install widows 10 to get a better gaming performance?
If the monitor supports more than 120hz then sure. Problem is the 3050ti in the Z13 is so weak that you’ll struggle to get 60 FPS in many AAA titles. So you’ll want the xg mobile if you want better performance.

The Eluktronics Mech-15 & Prometheus 17 also have the “Liquid Propulsion Package”, which is the same liquid cooler as the XMG Oasis.
And I would say the Asus ROG Flow x13 would be better for most people, as battery life is so much better while not being too much worse in performance. And it’s also got a 32 GB of RAM option, something that you cannot get the z13.
@@cameronbosch1213 They are the same company I think. They just have different names in different regions. Jarrod has mentioned about this in his videos.
