  • The interview was broadcast on NPR on May 23 2018. When Janet Guthrie says she knows engines, it is an understatement. Before racing at INDY Janet raced a Jaguar XK140 for years in SCCA and she did ALL the work on the car. Janet graduated from the University of Michigan in 1960 with a B.Sc. in physics. She joined Republic Aviation in Farmingdale, New York, as a research and development engineer, working on programs that were precursors to Project Apollo. In 1964, she applied for the first Scientist-Astronaut program, and got through the first round of eliminations.

( not just be eye-candy like the stunning Francoise Hardy, iconic French musician and fashion icon, whose long, long legs and pout, grace a few scenes in the classic film, Grand Prix) ! I learned something else with my "screwy " circadian cycle. Night Owl School - RUclips- blessedly, More Than Music- Thank you- I'll be back-
