Love your reactions. I found Dimash on a channel like yours and that was 2 years ago and I listen to him every day and I love when new people discover Dimash. Dimash will historically change the dimensions of music melding his Eastern instruments and vocals with Western instruments. He keeps improving his sound and I love to watch people discover Dimash. I love watching the facial expressions as New dears are anointed by Dimash’s incredible vocal skills. I have seen maybe two reactors who didn’t like Dimash - one a Swedish fellow who listened once and sounded very bitter and another who tried another recommended song and loved it - suffice it to say, I don’t watch the one who was negative. I understand that not every song may appeal to everyone, but he does have something for everyone. His talent is undeniable and I too listen several times per day…. He is on my Spotify (mom of four here and I didn’t join when my kids joined - I only added on when I found out that Dimash is on Spotify.). Dimash is part of the music of my life - his purity of vocals and depth of emotions surrounds my sometimes weary heart and soothes my soul. Very respectful reaction. Cheers from Canada!

I don't understand why any musician would do that, especially to someone so uniquely gifted and so generous of heart. This was another very enjoyable reaction. This was his 2018 guest performance at the New Wave competition held annually since 2002 at the New Wave Hall in Sochi Olympic Park. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts.
Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh RUclipsr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies.
This competition was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. He invited Dimash to perform and it was this performance that prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for Dimash to sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Stranger, and Ave Maria, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him.
There is another performance of this song of one of his more recent concerts. It is as good or better because you can hear certain parts clearer and the camera stays on him most of the time. The man in the white shirt standing at the end is Igor Krutoy who is a famous Russian composer who came out of semi retirement to work with Dimash after seeing this performance. He has written several masterpieces for D:) and often accompanies him on the piano 😍🇬🇧

If you want to follow Dimash's career progression over the last five years, here is a song list in semi-chronological order, minus the songs you have already listened to. You should consider listening to his covers from the 2017 "I Am A Singer" competition Lara Fabian's "Adagio," Celine Dion's "All by Myself," and Freddie Mercury's "The Show Must Go On." Also from the same show Confessa & Diva Dance, Opera 2, Daybreak, and Autumn Strong. His "I Am A Singer" 2018 guest performance of Lionel Richie's "Hello" is a must. Then there are Love is like a Dream, Your Love, Olimpico (Ogni Pietra) from Igor Krutoy's channel, Diva Dance (Bastau Concert), Across Endless Dimensions, Ti Amo Cosi (with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina), Ulisse (Duet with Aida Garifullina), and Know (both the regular performance as well as the vocalise).

I alwayes end up holdong my breath when he does thous long parts on 1 breath. You havent the need for the lyrics with him becouse you feel every word he sings!!! He is also the onley artist I can think of that can sing a hole song wothout any words and still make it epic!!!! Ave Maria is that song. I just woundering where those minutes goes every time I'm listening to that song it is way to short!!! Igor Krutoy composed that song for Dimash after Dimash asked him to. I just love that song and it takes you so in the emotions he gives and the last hard teknic notes is so awsome and you just keeps leening in to the computere in awww. He is breathtaking when he is on stage and of for that part. He is just a awsome human beeing!!!!
I'm so glad you reacted to this, it's one of my 2 favorite Dimash songs. I hope you did go back and watch again while reading the lyrics because you were very intuitive about the raindrop sounds from the piano. The song speaks of the passion of 2 lovers while outside the rain keeps falling endlessly. The lyrics are beautiful, especially when coupled with Dimash's emotional presentation. Believe it or not, this gorgeous piece was once a little pop song with virtually no depth to its sound. And it was reworked into this absolutely stunning ballad masterpiece by Dimash. Also appreciated that you watched til the end to hear Dimash thank the band. He's a well-mannered, humble person, kind to everyone. Loved your reaction. Love Dimash ❤

I can’t wait to see where you go next! You allow yourself to feel Dimash’s energetic power to affect your cellular body - it’s so powerful it is hard to focus on subtitles when you’re on sensory overload already. They are great lyrics but if you’re anything like me, you’ll watch this 100 more times. There are some songs where lyrics are more important.. then there are performances like AVE MARIA 👉he premiered 3 songs at New Wave- Stranger was 1st, then Fly Away, & on finale night he premiered Ave Maria. As always, I would say it’s likely you’ve never heard anything quite like it. Then there’s 👉Know Vocalise from Kiev. Trust me- you don’t need subtitles for either of these, you will be completely mesmerized & feel many things ☺️

I am also sure the others will tell you this, but at the end of this song, there is a man in a white shirt that stands up to clap. This is Igor Krutoy, a famous Russian composer and music producer. After hearing Dimash, he came out of retirement to write songs especially for him. Out of their collaboration, we now have Olympico, Your love, Passione, I miss you, Ave Maria, and Stranger, which you have already reacted to. Dimash also covers some of Igors song that he wrote for other artists; I believe the most beloved one is

So many fans and followers of Dimash can't be that wrong. We enjoy seeing that other people are moved just like us by their "dears" (that's what Dimash calls his fans). Now he is preparing his big concert in Dubai and like the previous ones it will be a success. Success is never so assured as with the magnificent Dimash. We hope you enjoy and forget for a few hours the difficult situation your beloved country, Kazakhstan, is experiencing.
