Glinda was so scared when I found her and luckily, after the first attempt to avoid me, she just froze. What a lucky day for her when a Hope For Paws fan drove by and spotted her on a main road, hiding in the bushes.

Hope for Paws is a wonderful organization! Another great group is Viktor Larkhill Channel, he and the vets/staff of Valencia Sur in Spain rescue the most horribly abused/neglected animals, the transformation in these animals is amazing, check them out.

Also "National Mill Dog Rescue", they save hundreds of dogs that have been locked in cages breeding for the puppy mills, some for 15yrs, or unfortunately, until they die, under horrific circumstances, also " The Humane Society ", they rescue all sorts of neglected furbabies. A few years ago I drove my daughter to southern California from Nevada to attend the university. The land was unkempt , barren. I was shocked. The university & the residents were pristine. But all around then was poverty & disarray. Since watching Hope for Paws I have seen the "streets paved with gold" - land of the rich & famous" made true,.....poverty, depravity of the land & worse. Unkempt yards, numerous industrial waste areas etc. Perfect places to dump unwanted dogs. Living creatures... I am shocked & ashamed for what has been considered a wealthy & humanitarian state.
When I see Glinda I can't help but to think about her previous owners because she looks well taken care of. I don't think she has been in the streets for a long time. My boyfriend lost his husky puppy two years ago and still to this day I think about her. She may have been stolen but we'll never know. We looked at every shelter in surrounding cities for months and nothing. Sadly most lost dogs never reunite with their owner especially if their not chipped. I'm so glad though that this beautiful Maltese is safe and out of the streets!!!❤

There is something so magical when a dog leans their head into your hand while you're trying to scratch their ear or head. Do they think your hand is a pillow? Is it a sign of trust and affection? I don't know but what I do know is that when Glinda put her head into the palm of Eldad's hand it just melted my heart. My dog, Ruby, does the same thing and it is a special moment and is why I am her service human.
catgirldo I believe it is a sign that dog needs your affection. It also means that she trusts you and wants your attention .💕 It’s such a beatiful moment between dog and human.
I think it just means the dog likes being pet so much that they lean into your hand to ensure they get pet.
•Iris Gaming• still dogs lean their heads also towards your leg(thigh)or body the same way when they are next to you. I still believe it’s a sign that they need affection.
Good thing Ruby has trained me properly as her service human because she gets lots of affection and attention. Am certain Glinda is intelligent and will have new owner to train as her service human.
They lean in for a few reasons. To show trust, need or affection. Mine does it after a brushing or a good romp.

I think he did adopt a rescue dog from one of his old videos like years back..i think the dog was about to be put down but Eldad saved him and ended up adopting him.

Discarding pets on the street is becoming more prevalent. Taking it to a shelter is never in the mind frame of these heartless people. Thank you for what you do.

I think a lot of times the dog will escape from its yard or home. They wind up going too far and become lost. That’s why chips are so important.
I'm in no way condoning the action, but shelters charge money to take dogs in Ohio. Maybe some are being dumped because they can't pay someone to take the dog.
I agree Mary, it's obvious this dog was loved and cared for from puppyhood until this age, then got lost. It can happen so easily. Someone, somewhere, is likely missing her.

I had a dog just like her when I was a kid. I was her favorite person in the family. She was good, she would wait patiently for me to come in the house, sitting and tail wagging at a million miles an hour. Once I was ready, I would say, OK Sugar let's go. She would explode into the air and go nuts with excitement and joy, and would become a licking machine. Usually took a few minutes to get it out and relax, then she would lay next to me for hours. God forbid if I stood up to use the bathroom. Because she would jet back into a hyperactive spaze.
I use to call her AWOL, because we did not have a fence, so if I let her out to go to the bathroom, but did not stand right there. She would sneak around the house and make a break for my aunts house, wear she had a best friend named, Triple.
If she was not in the yard, I new exactly where she was. So I would walk down the block to my aunt's. Leash her up and walk her home, the whole time she would jump around tail wagging and panting all the way home.
She passed many years ago of old age, but she was a great dog.
God bless you for your loss. You have fond memories of her. That is a blessing.

Great story about a great dog who clearly loved you. I really think kids who grow up with pets are lucky. They learn responsibility by tending to their needs and learn a whole lot about that unconditional love dogs provide. ❤

I want to rescue animals when I grow up! I feed a rabbit for the last two days because the Rabbit was very skinny and I don't know why the rabbit wasn't eating things outside like grass and stuff but now the rabbit comes every day

@Sound Logic doesn't matter. There are 5-second ads, there are 30-minute ads. If the content is watchable then I don't mind. The longer the ad, the more money they will get.

I believe videos need to be at least 10 minutes long to enable ads, and more often than not HFP makes videos shorter than that.
They should have ads. I never watch ads, but I’d turn the sound off and let the ad play with my phone laying face down so I don’t have to see it. They get paid either way, that’s what I’ve always done for ads that I “watched”.
Could also simply make a donation. Anything helps, however small.

It always just breaks my heart to see them so afraid like that. It always makes me wonder why, why is she so afraid? Who did that to her? Seeing them so happy at the end is worth it though.
It's more likely that she is just lost, and not abused. She is probably someones pet who got out, and never been on her own before, making her very scared. This is why it's very important to microchip your pet, just in case they escape the house.

Not all pets are dumped! My son and his wife's dog got lost. Someone took her to a shelter. After about two days of looking we thought someone stole her. Then they decided to call the shelter and there she was. They had to pay a fee to cover taking care of her. But that was fine with them bc she was taken good care of and not killed or abused by anyone.
I have the biggest smile on my face while tears of joy are streaming down my face. Thank you for helping these precious babies. 🐾🐾💖💖

I wish you guys were here to help tons of cats and kittens over here in my street. Last year kittens grew up and now have kittens of their own and it just keeps going. Thankfully they do get fed by me, my two other neighbors who put out food for their cats, the stray cats eat from our cat bowls when we aren’t in view. Animal control don’t help and I don’t want them to put all of them down, I want someone who can capture them and get them spayed/neutered and into new homes. I live in California by Sacramento.
Abigail x3 I wish people could be more responsible for the pets they do have or take on by getting them fixed. It’s tragic that the animals are the ones who pay for it at the end with their suffering all because their owners were too irresponsible or careless to not get them fixed. Getting them fixed is the first and foremost solution to reducing the overpopulation and yet even owners who know this don’t take action.

There are a lot of different types of heroes to many people but Eldad you are a HERO at a whole other level!! All of you at Hope For Paws have such big hearts and compassion.
