The XPointer II was actually released after the MAX pointer. Pointer II is Pulse induction and is indeed a good pointer. I Will try and do a video on the Pointer II at some point as well
The dead side is a DEAL MAKER for me! I have been looking for a White’s Bullseye TRX for that very reason. So happy I kept searching. I will watch the rest of the video, check the comments, and do a bit more research, but I think I just found what I was looking for! Acquired a Garrett carrot with a recent detector purchase and had to pull out my TRX to find the target. I dig small holes, so real pinpointing features are what I am looking for and pinpointing is what they these things are meant to do! The TRX won’t last forever and it falses sometimes. Seems like this one has some falsing also by the comments and video. I am willing to give it a go. Should have shown in the video of it being turned on; you skipped that part. Is it quick or slow?
The dead side is a dealbreaker. Makes it useless. And then there is the "raise coil error". It starts beeping and it will not stop. I returned mine. For now I stick to my Xpointer Landpointer. Much cheaper and it works fine.
I have one and my dad has a 35. Mine faults out and I need to ground balance some times. The screen is nice and I can pick up some targets my dad's 35 doesn't catch.
first, true it is a pinpointer, and not an area locator like to carrot and others. second it is made for a young person like yourself, and not someone with multiple hand surgeries and is pushing 70 like myself. for me it takes 2 hands to turn on and off
Great pointer! The XPointer II which preceeded this is also good!

i don't have any pointers but got the idea to use electrical tape to protect from scratches.

I don't like how it's round with gloves on you can't find the power button.
What about auto on and off if you put it in holster ? I heard it has that feature as well .?
The new version has that feature…
This video is showing the older version

Just tell the truth... quest sent you this to do a positive review.
I wish i got stuff for free to do reviews!
It’s a shame they go bonkers,a lot have been faulty
Mine fortunately have been good & not falsed. Has held up in cold conditions where some people have had issues with them.
