What is Being for Martin Heidegger

Martin Heidegger is one of the greatest philosophers of the twentieth century. To provide an introduction of his work, I focus on his concept of Being and its relations.
Although I highly recommend Heidegger to all, he is notoriously difficult and a reader should have a pretty strong knowledge of the history of philosophy before approaching his texts. Without this knowledge, you will be lost in the many references he makes.
However, not all hope is lost for expanding your understanding of his writing if you are not in this position yet. There are some great secondary works that you can read in the meantime. The one I recommend most is one I read last year, "How to Read Heidegger" by Mark Wrathall.
