I appreciate the effort and know you aren't a French speaker, but the pronunciation of locations in this video literally make it impossible to understand where you are talking about when trying to search some of these amazing places on google maps. Nonetheless, a ton of great info in just a 10 minute video.

What do you propose one should do if they are trying their best to speak a language that they do not?

@@cclark4366 everybody has to start somewhere, and most start from A. There would probably be no video if one started from G or somewhere letter other than the beginning. But hey, I understand that I myself am not perfect so I guess that's one way I offer others the grace that has been offered to me. I hope someone offers you grace when you need it most and when your intention isn't of malice or disrespect.

@CanCan T @CanCan T huh? What are you talking about? Some weird cryptic response about grace and malice? I'm so confused. I was very polite and understanding in my initial comment. The fact remains that the efficacy of the video is severely diminished because it is almost impossible to understand the locations being referenced. Stop being so butthurt and take some legitimate feedback with grace. And if you haven't noticed, the majority of the comments convey the same thing, often much less politely than my comment.

Bad pronunciations but great information and pictures thanks. For example as I understand it Basse Terre is said like Bas Ter.

This is the best video on Guadeloupe and the surrounding islands that I’ve seen. We were planning to spend five days there, but we definitely need to stay longer. Thanks!

Nice video with a lot of information but you should have indicated somewhere that the volcano crater is not actual footage of La Soufriere. I have climbed it many times and both the climb itself and the top looks very very different.

Please next time learn about how to pronounce names, you’re just gonna confuse every visitor who will attempt to talk to locals. Guadeloupe is not Spanish. ;)

Oof. I respect that French is probably not a language you speak and I appreciate you trying but you've used a Spanish-like interpretation that makes the words unintelligible. For example:
    Grande-Terre = ✅"grawnd tare" vs. ❌"granday taray"
Basse-Terre = ✅"bass (like the fish) tare" vs. ❌"basay taray"
Iles des Saintes = ✅"eel day saint" vs. ❌"eeless dess saintess"
There might be good info in this video but I just couldn't get past the pronunciations. It was far too distracting. Google Translate can help you with how to pronounce the words if you care to re-record the voice-over. It would be helpful to visitors to Guadeloupe to be able to communicate effectively.

Das Gute an Guadeloupe ist auch ,dass die dort französisch reden und englischsprechende es schwer haben.Zum Glück:hält die grosse Masse ab die Insel zu fluten, wie Venedig..😊😊Und diese Aussprache ist wirklich schlimm.Hat sich offenbar nicht die Mühe gemacht auf google translator die Aussprache zu üben.tztztz....The good thing about Guadeloupe is that the people there speak French and English speakers have a hard time. Luckily, the large masses keep the island from flooding like Venice..😊😊And this pronunciation is really bad. Apparently they didn't bother made on google translator to practice the pronunciation.tztztz....
