Manipur CM Convoy attacked @Kotlen -NH-53 Jiribam (10th May, 2024)

10th May, 2024: Manipur Chief Minister's Advance Security Team Ambushed By Suspected Kuki Militants.
Multiple gunshots were fired at the vehicles of the security forces, as per source one security personnel and a civilian were injured in the attack.
The envoy was going as an advance security for visit of Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh to the violence-hit Jiribam district later today. The attack took place near Kotlen village along the National Highway-53.
The CM- Biren Singh visited and injured and later on issued a press statement to the media saying: “It is very unfortunate and highly condemnable. It is an attack directly on the Chief Minister, means directly on the people of the state. So, the State Government has to do something. I will consult with all my colleagues and we will take decisive action,”
