- Security forces dropped their guard & I fear prolonged violence in Manipur: Senior Journalist, Pradip Phanjoubam, to Karan Thapar for The Wire.

In an interview to comment upon and discuss two days of rocket propelled grenades dropped by drones in Imphal, one of Manipur’s most senior journalists has said that the security forces dropped their guard and after four months of relative calm a certain complacency set in. He says the technology to counter and check drones exists in Manipur but was not used. Now Pradip Phanjoubam says he fears a prolonged spell of violence in the state. He does not believe that Sunday’s and Monday’s attacks are one offs.
Mr. Phanjoubam said that speculation - as contained in some national papers - that the drone attacks on Sunday and Monday could have been carried out by Kuki insurgents who have breached the terms of the SoO agreement needs to be verified. As yet we simply don’t know who carried out the attacks.
In a 25-minute interview to Karan Thapar for The Wire, Pradip Phanjoubam, who is also a well-known columnist and author, said the demand raised by MLA Rajkumar Imo Singh, the Chief Minister’s son-in-law, in a letter to the Home Minister yesterday, calling for all 60,000 Central Forces in Manipur to be removed is “hasty” and “not properly thought out”.
The interview contains an extensive section about the recent audio tapes, where a voice that purports to be the voice of Chief Minister Biren Singh claims that he is the architect of the violence and has encouraged it and allowed it to happen. I will leave you to hear the interview to find out what Pradip Phanjoubam says about this. However, he does say, very clearly, that the voice sounds like that of the Chief Minister.
Finally, at the end of the interview, Pradip Phanjoubam says that by failing to intervene Prime Minister Modi and the Central Government have made the situation in Manipur worse. Again, I will leave you to see the interview to find out further details.

Karan, pls don't discuss Manipur issue in your channel. U have supported kuki militants from day one and tried your best to portray valley people as perpetrators of the violence while it's pretty clear that there's foreign hand in the violence using kuki militants.
Right, just because Karan is anti BJP and ......makes him thinks that all the meiteis are BJP and ......, so he thought to beat around the bushes despite knowing the truth. A journalist shouldn't be biased and must give room for the truth to come out unless sponsored and sold.

My heart goes out for people who are suffering, please have many meetings between different groups and make a conscious effort to resolve many issues, as you pointed out earlier that we have to show the result or profit of violence is nothingness, not much gain... Except tears and suffering. Maybe there is hope it will end. India is going through lot of crisis.. Violence cannot be justified.
For all those who are not familar with the issue. Let me break it for you.
1. Kukis have a dream to create a new Christian nation called Zalengam comprising of areas in India, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
2. But they know they cannot realize that right now. So as a stepping stone they want to create a new Christian state called Kukiland partitioned out of Manipur.
3. To achieve this, they offered mercnary services to Indian army to fight against Naga and Meitei insrgncies. Just like USA and Israel created ISIS and many fringe groups to destroy their enemies from within, Indian intelligence decided to create Kuki mlitant groups to destroy Naga and Meitei insrgncies. Remember, Kuki mltants were never fighting against Indian army so there was no need for Suspension of operations. (SoO is only done between two warring groups). The SoO was done so that the kuki mltants can be brought in to fight the indigenous groups.
4. By 2010, all Naga and Meitei insrgncy movement died and nobody cares about them. This makes the Kuki mrcnaries insecure as they have become irrelevant and redundant.
5. Since 2017, there is a strong push by the Kuki mltant leaders to give their homeland demand. BJP leaders agreed to resolve Kuki's "political demands" within few years. This is all on public records, mentioned in court affidavits.
6. In May 2023 (just one year before 2024 Lok Sabha election), the Kuki mltants and their agents decided to activate their Partition project causing 200+ deaths and 60,000 displaced persons.
7. Now Kukis says too much vlence so give us Kukiland. Naturally, indigenous groups in Manipur stood against their demand
8. So they continue to cause more vlence. Coz they know causing more vlnce means more pressure on Indian Govt to give Kukiland
9. Yesterday, they crossed the limit again by using drone bmbs and kllng 2 innocent villagers and injuring many security frces.

Now you need to know this.
1. Kukis have Rs.60,000 crores worth dr^^s trade inside Indian market. With that kind of money and support from Christian network, they are able to procure all kinds of weapons and ammunitions.
2. They also purchased many dalali journalists like this Karan Thapar, The Wire, Vijaita from the Hindu, Afrida Hussain from IndiaToday and so on. These media persons are used to propagate their separatist agenda.
