I’m from western Canada and saw dynamite from his debut at 16.... but Cornette is wrong... dynamite could still go at unbelievable speed (most explosive person to ever wrestle) all the way until his severe back injury in 86. He was never the same after - in fact even at the time I cringed watching him after because knowing how he was before you could see that back was... “wobbly”and not the same... scary.
Just search for dynamite kid or British bulldogs in 84 or 85.... and see magic.

A lot of these people think of JBL as nothing more than a bully, when the reality is most of the wrestlers were assholes. The only difference is JBL was such a convincing heel that it's easier to make it stick to him. I never hear anybody criticise Eddie Guerrero for picking on Daniel Puder or Muhammad Hassan. Nobody makes a big fuss that Scott Steiner was supposed to be an asshole to people. Shawn Michaels purposefully ruined people's careers and everybody loves him. People are such marks, they're fine with babyfaces doing similar or worse things than JBL.

people are so sensitive, most of that happened on those European tours. the guys are bored on a hard schedule, they are entertaining themselves. Eddie Guerrero story with Muhammad Hassan was Kurt Angle's fault, if Kurt set him up or not only Kurt knows. but Kurt Angle told Hassan, tell Eddie not to do the camel clutch because he has to protect his finish. Hassan pulls Eddie aside is real nice, but asks can you quit doing the camel clutch. Eddie told him that his dad invented the move, then word spread and he went to wrestler's court.

They can't do Owen because they still need the families permission to use Owen's likeness and images to use as promotional material for the induction. But I suppose much like the WWE dvd they released of Owen, Vince could induct Owen without Martha's permission. But thenit wouldn't benefit the WWE at all to have a wrestler forced into their HoF that the family doesn't want because Martha could then use it as fuel to bring up bad memories. It's why I'm real curious to see that second season Dark Side of the Ring series to hear her mindset and side of the story about how she wants to handle Owen's legacy.
