Godhead - Eleanor Rigby - Director's Cut
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 31 мар 2010
- Originally released in 2001, directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer). Posthuman Records was the label, headed up by Marilyn Manson. This is actually the director's cut, slightly different than the version that aired on MTV. It appears on the album "2000 Years of Human Error."

2000 years of human error was so good. It's weird that these guys came out around when bands like orgy and manson were huge but got overlooked. This is one of my favorite covers.
These guys were the only band ever signed to Mansons label
I didn't know that. Yep, this cover is top notch and up there with Orgy's Blue Monday
Спасибо.
Поэт, драматург - JoysticK .
I saw them support Manson on the Guns, God and Government tour with Disturbed. Amazing live.
they used to open for manson.
People forget about these kool bands from late 90’s early 2000s and our generation is sadly fading away
That is actually true. I would love to see Godhead in concert. I really hope they have a reunion or something.
Voodoo Opaque we remember tho and omg live our memories support the good ole bands everything today is electronic easy crap no feelings no heart I agree with you . I live in USA but Swedish blood and English blood. Miss creativity in piecing together music 👍😺🇸🇪 🏴 🏴 🇮🇪
Voodoo Opaque wow, time is not kind to this great cover .
@@gypsygirl731 exactly!! I remember! They are remembered and we must keep the memory alive. Such a criminally underrated band.
Not everyone is forgetting but when we’re dead yeah all will be forgotten unfortunately.
Godhead are such an underrated group. this cover is awesome but this is barely scratching the surface to how great they are
This song sucks.
This song is great. I even like the original version. Godhead is not a underrated band. It is one of my popular favorite bands for years to come
what do you mean? this song is absolutely horrible
@@rowan312 then why are you listening to this and write comments down below??
I dont know about underrated bc I didn't listen to them but my hubby did and he LOVES this song
One of the most overlooked bands of the early 2000's, absolutely nails Eleanor Rigby, but in their own style. Beautifully shot, beautifully recorded - great act +1
my old band Abwhore opened for these guys back in 1999 at a teeny tiny club here in Atlanta. I remember them being very cool and down to Earth and a few folks traveled quite a distance just to see them. We were shocked to see them on TV with this video. But glad someone was having a little bit of fortune. :)
I worked Security for the band at DragonCon every year they played...those of us working the stage always had a blast singing along to this song while tossing pit surfers back into the pit...
@@burnoutn9 they played dragoncon back then! holy cow
Just a trip down memory lane in my teenage years....always loved this cover. Greetings from Italy!
Growing up goth, this is a beautiful remake of the Beatles until this day. 2021,remember this, this music will never die, due covid looks like this song fits perfectly in this ball of dirt we called earth...😎🤘
I used to see Godhead at a dive bar in Maryland. Power tool stigmata was out then. Awesome band. I give them tons of props. Originality and artistic vision, great band.
Saw these guy LIVE! Wow - what an experience. Cool band - got to meet them all.
How awesome was Godhead back in the day? I miss them madly but i know Jason has moved on to bigger and better things and im happy for him and all the band and wish them well. They made my night 2 times simply because i got to meet Jason and Method back in the day for a quick photo op that will always be a good memory for me. People keep stealing this CD from me and i will probably never get another one again but that's ok because at least i have the memories of it all. True gentlemen that actually do a show then come out to mingle with fans like me for photo ops. How much better can it get? I will never forget the 2 times i met Jason and Method. I wish them all the best and lots of success. Big ups and mad love to Godhead!
Back in the day? well they played in underground clubs (1990's) mostly, but they were still unknown to rivetheads and goths alike. Not sure how or why they broke into the mainstream. They found small success but of course were never big like Marylin Manson.
how awesome was godhead? so awesome that when i saw them open for rammstein almost 20 years ago that they got boo'd off stage and the lead singer threw a little temper tantrum. was at the showbox in seattle
I saw Jason play last night. Still great.
Glad he became KANE after the band. He won multiple WWE championship belts!
What band did the lead singer go to love his voice
I have not been able to listen to The Beatles sing this song since I first discovered Godhead singing it. Our family loves this version and my son uses it to get jingles out of his head🤯🤣
Great cover!!!
this was just great (and I am a Beatles purist who usually does not appreciate covers of their songs)
Well said
all beatles covers are better than the originals.
Should check out the band pain and there cover of this song
Same though
Thank you for what you did for CP77 OST. Reaktion titles are awesome.
And thanks to this game I came to discover Godhead. That's a win-win.
A great band who never quite received the recognition & fame in metal subculture that they deserved. Remembering listening to them in the early 00’s as a teen.
I’ve become so old.
I am 58 Gen X original and this was rad ....That many years ago! Funny thing is ...The video totally synches up with The Verve Bitter Sweet Symphony! High! Discovered that a few years ago...Forgot to explain!
I still come back to this in 2024. Very underated!
Jason!! That is the fucking shit man! I love it. I like it when you see yourself walk past, and the way you turn away from yourself - great timing, great acting!
It just so happens that I was on a RUclips Beatles & Rolling Stones tear last night. This was a welcome gift today. Thanks!
2020 anyone? Coronavirus made me go through my old haunts
:-)
same
such a deep video clip. amazing!!!
This is one of my favorite Beatles songs and this just makes it SO much better! Thank you.
Ya, it's interesting......
I like the ray Charles one and this one
This is the version I've been looking for. Thanks guys!
This is the best cover for this song I've heard to date. I can't stop listening to it! If any of the albums have this sound and feel, consider me a new fan!
Check out Letters From the Fire version. Excellent also!
This is an awesome cover of an iconic classic. Really well done
MISS THEM A LOT !!
Man, classic. This was on loop in my car many many nights on the way to Tracks!
Tracks!?! Holy shit! Haven't heard that reference in a long while!🤣👍👍👍😈🤘
Amazing Band! Saw you guys back in 2002 when you played an off day show from Ozzfest in Idaho Falls, ID with Otep, Systematic, Taproot, Union Underground, Mudvayne, and Drowning Pool before Dave Williams death. It was a great show that totally killed it and inspired me! You guys rock!
Holy shit I was at that show too. Drove from Mtn Home to go see it.
@@bearguy7429 that was such a good lineup. I was shocked they were playing my home town.
Being named after a Beatle, and being a metal head, I love this cover
Is your name Richard? I was also named after a Beatle
@@JJSMJ no it's legit ringo
@@ringodeathpepsiswan3574 Cool my first name is John and middle name is Lennon. Wanna start a band?
*Beautiful song, cool video.*
Saw godhead open for Rammstein years ago in Cleveland. Amazing show from everyone playing.
Awesome song, awesome video.
Once again, the name of the band is godhead, name of the album, 2000 years...of human error
One of the most underrated bands ever. "I Hate Today" is still one of my all-time favourite songs. And this cover is amazing!
A fan for 23 years :F love this album. The reckoning still slaps
This song lends itself to industrial really well!
Such a good cover. Awesome.
Awesome!
One of the best covers ever made imo
Technically a cover, but a phenomenal, unique work in its own right.
where does it say it's not a cover? and it's not "technically" a cover, it is a cover.
I don’t think I knew there was a video for this!
this a good classic i like the intro!!!!!!
So awesome! Am going to give this cover a go with year 8 band :D
We (The New Creatures) were working on a cover of the very same song and only realized you beat us to the punch when when we played with you guys at Bat Cave. Cheers, Johnathan !
God(head) I love this version so much!!! You are so perfect! I'm dying for your boots and style!
First song I ever heard by these guys almost 20 yrs ago, loved the cover and went on to love the rest of their stuff. Coincidentally it made me search out some of The Beatles other tunes and it turned me on to Helter Skelter among other McCartney tracks
Saw them at DragonCon in the early 2000s. Great show, really nice guys too.
they made 2 versions of this track this is the best version!!!!
Love this band!
Classic Godhead. I love it!!!!!
Sick
awesome
I miss you guys
this was my favorite band ever at the time, and still today!
I love this cover! I saw this band as a warmup at a Rammstein concert back in the day. Godhead all came out, and stood with the crowd to watch Rammstein. I was like 2ft from the lead of Godhead during the rest of the concert. :) What a kickass concert that was!
Man, where are you guys and when do I get more awesome music like this? This takes me back.
The Beatles made this a hit Godhead showed the full spectrum of feelings and emotion of this song.
I remember when this video came out. There was a very brief controversy about the video because people were running from something in panic and fear. Shortly after, the 9/11 tragedy occurred. Since the tragedy was covered and the anticipation of Slipknot's release of Iowa, it barely made a blip in the major networks and rock magazines.
Having bought 2000 years of Human Error and Evolver, these guys don't get half the credit they deserve in the metal world.
Saw this back when it came out in 2001.
Considering the time of it's release the vid was pretty heavy to watch with all the people running away, since it looked very similar to.... Well you know
Me 2 lol my dad use to play concerts with him and I’d sit backstage with the lead singer aka my dads good friend from early 90’s it’s wild
I miss you guys..
Yes James!!!!
I saw them in a club in Tampa Florida before they were really "known"....it was many many years ago..lead singer was a very cool guy...loved it
I LUV IT
All the lonely people are every where...that's why you smile and say hi to everyone you see...you never know if that smile might save a life
Amen. It could mean the difference between life and death.
time to start living on the inside then!
i do the same)))))))))
@gODHEADofficial you nailed it. I first heard this song in 2001 and I had your official website linked to mine from 2001-2002 before the host stopped doing website hosting. You are the most progressive of the industrial metal bands out there, as Fashion Bomb is the most technical (the guys of Fashion Bomb are friends of mine.)
Very interesting cover 🤘🏻
Still works.
I would have loved to had seen a cameo from Manson in this video.
It’s awesome that they were signed to Posthuman Records. The first and last.
This song and album take me back to 2020 when I moved to Texas at 20 with my family before the COVID 19 pandemic hit
Awesome.
There will NEVER be a better cover of this iconic composition ... PERIOD.
Except for the first cover this very band did for the very song a few years before this one.
I like this.
Love music like this
Such an awesome cover! (Diehard Beatles fans here)
Anyone know what the drawing at 2:32 is?
I always wanted know what is the location of this video
RULES OF NATURE!
sweet!
For what it's worth,: music like godhead, stabbing westward, etc has a deeper meaning than most generic garbage and trash most top 100 bands are. I say that because it's bands like this that got me through the darkest of times. I have always wanted to he the lead singer of a goth/ industrial band , but due to life and me giving up because stabbing westward broke up, and daily depression in life started to take its toll. Now, years later, stabbing westward had reunited proving that one mistake can be fixed. I mean look, they have a new album (chasing ghosts) and Chris even overcame throat cancer. Jason, if your even reading this, please consider reuniting godhead. Broken people need to hear your amazing music. Its OK if you keep doing your country thing, but "goth" is what you are, and many fans would like to see the godhead project come back together. Come on, just one more album please. When I upload my sinking cover, I'll update this comment with an edit as well. Take care man, I wish you the best.
Took me till just now to realize this is a beatles remake i just lost a loved one and i cant stop listening to this song i forgot about it for years
Way cool version 💓
2:41 I've loved that shot since I was about 16. It's a short sweet camera shot but I loved it even as a kid.
Hearing this for the first time in 2023, wow! Nice!
MTVX!!
So this was just posted and titled Directors Cut. It is only 4 seconds longer then the original version. Love gODHEAD but uumm hu?
Nostalgic..
this is why this song sounds so familiar. i was so confused lol.
Awesome thing! Благодаря этому синглу я скачал с торента все альбомы группы...Cool band!
Thanks Godhead,you are the greatest
Damn good cover...
Long live our memories
@NiclasTheMightyNoob and you are one! Jason's a great guy
This fucken rocks
lol. i never noticed that before...at 02:32 , Jason (without the make-up) looking at himself (with make-up) like "dude. WTF?"
I love what godhead did to this cover made it thier own.
welldone godhead!
i don't know what you're talking about...The version I've had for years is WAY different sounding than this one. They're both awesome. This one has almost totally different flow to it. Perhaps I'll upload the one I have at some point...
Wonder if they covered Octopus's Garden as well...
ooooomg
Sorry that America sucks and most people here just listen to the dumb shit on the radio. I remember that I had bought your CD around the 2001 and none of my friends had heard of you but they all liked it.. not enough to actually make a purchase of their own, but they liked it well enough to download it.
I miss industrial music. Not many people invested money into it so not many bands are still performing it.
I wish you well, Godhead.
John Jacob Only retards offer loyalty to governments.
America does not suck jackass, this song is badass but more to reply to your comment. Eat a bag
Godhead did a few albums after this one and Jason Charles Miller has a few solo Albums. Check out In The Wasteland.. He did sort of go country
I remember hearing this when it first came out
Industrial died too fast...
This doesn't sound like HD and it's official. I'm disappointed but it doesn't affect my appreciation of album, which I purchased many years ago.
i remember rocking out to this cover in college lol. I always tried to figure out why he dressed like the character from Powder lol. good movie from the 90s btw
