Hi @charleswatts3810, thank you for your comment from a few years ago, and sorry for the tardy reply! You're right-it's often best to only answer the questions asked and not to volunteer extra information during the meeting. I hope this information can still help you or others preparing for their 341 Creditors Meeting. Best of luck!
Thank you so much upsolve. Without you I would've never been able to accomplish this. My 341 is coming up in a week and I feel confident all will be well. This is an amazing service you guys offer and I'll never forget your help. Thank you!
Thank You! Out of all the 341 prep videos I watched, yours was the one that helped the most. I didn't know it then, but after my 341 meeting, this video was the most realistic. Thanks
I did use the services of a programmer called Michael Gibbs from Credit Patch Up LLC to get rid of bankruptcies and hard inquiries off my credit report and my score was also boosted to 790+ within few days. You can get to him via [Gibbs@creditPatchup.com] if you're in need of any credit help or advice.
@@smittyboy hey , thinking about going through with chapter 7, do you know what happens to our paypal or cashapp that has money . can i take out any money from my bank accounts ? how long before can i do this before filing?
Different trustees may ask slightly different questions. Hopefully this video helps people prepare for best and worst-case scenarios! Thanks for your comment.
What is considered a “payment” over $600 to someone else? Does paying someone else for bills count? For example, my boyfriend pays me about $650 a month for his half of the rent, I then pay the rent from my checking account. Would that count as a “payment” to someone or would that be considered a bill?
Good question. This trips a lot of folks up. In the context of bankruptcy, a "payment" over $600 refers to any amount you pay directly to another person or entity. This includes paying off debts, giving gifts, or transferring money. In your case, your boyfriend's $650 for his half of the rent, which you then use to pay the landlord, is considered a shared household expense rather than a direct payment to another person.
Hi @dianedenard171, thanks for your question! Yes, in many cases, you can mail your bankruptcy papers to the courthouse. However, it's important to check with your local court to ensure they accept filings by mail and to get the correct mailing address and any specific instructions. Some courts may also offer electronic filing options. Best of luck with your filing!
Hi @billbeam9553, thanks for your question! I see you asked this a few years ago, but I hope this information can still be helpful to you or others. Answering "no" to all the questions doesn't automatically determine your eligibility for bankruptcy. Eligibility depends on various factors, including your income, debts, and financial situation. It's best to review the specific requirements for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, such as the means test, to see if you qualify. You can find more information here: upsolve.org/learn/chapter-7-means-test/. Best of luck!
Hi @sharkwhisperer7326, thanks for your comment! The number of questions can vary depending on the specifics of your case. The trustee typically asks about 10 to 20 questions to verify your information and ensure everything is in order. It's always a good idea to be prepared for a few extra questions just in case. Best of luck with your meeting!
That's right, don't speak unless spoken to. And say as little as possible, not volunteering any information.

A lot of these questions are not asked in the 341 meeting and usually the meeting takes around 5 minutes
Oh really? What did they ask?

They did not ask all those questions
That's great! Every trustee handles their meetings a little differently.
The volume is too low on this video. and she sometimes talks too fast.
Thanks for that input @FleaPie. We'll use it to make better videos as we start up again!
