When l was a kid our female dog named Sissie lost a litter of puppies. She was distraught and would pace around looking for her pups (my father had taken the dead pups and had buried them a wooded area across the street from where we lived). One morning we got up and Sissie was laying on our front porch. Snuggled to her belly nursing was a tiny kitten. We were amazed! We named the kitten Sisserina.

Doubt god was involved in that one it's more of a miracle that he seen the bear with child if it wasn't for that guys persistence in believing his own eyes that baby wouldn't of been found untill they found the crashed car with baby stuff in the rear seats how he survived that crash is another stroke of luck 😅

That beautiful Bear is one of our precious mammal family members. that's one of the reasons why she had such great empathy towards that precious child. I Have heard stories of animals protecting children and adults when they were lost or injured.
Even one when a women went into labor and as her car got stuck in the snow. She got out of the car attempting to walk, after a distance she could go no further she found a small amount of protection under a pine tree. As she started to give birth a pack of wolves came to her laying down around the women as she gave birth, and they stayed close to her and the baby until help arrived leaving only when the group was close.
These situations have happened all over the world with all different kinds of wild life. Deer, elk, bears, lions and wolves.
I have always believed that Angels come to us when in need in any form, or send animal's to aid and keep us safe. It does not happen for everyone as the person's time on earth maybe close to ending.
Guardian Angels in many disguises, as we can't see the heavenly angels no more than we have see our heavenly father, yet they are there as he is there, they do have a purpose just as his Son Jesus had a purpose when he was her on earth, to forgive us of our sins so that we would have another chance at living live again on a Paradise earth which we were promised in the beginning until Adam, Eve sinned. There is a scripture which states that our heavily father does not lie, or does he brake a promise.

If we have completed this portion we will continue on to spend eternity with our loved ones in the afterlife.

Angels, eh? Animals to me are simply far greater than humans or imagined angels. The more beautiful and heartening things I hear of about animals, the more wicked things about humans I'm able to let fade in my heart and mind.
I'm glad the baby and the bear were safe and healthy. But I am also glad that Peter got an apology for basically being called crazy. I mean damn I would have believed him.

The empathy that untamed animals can display is wonderous! The deer knew the child was in need of protection. Using its parenting skills, the Deer kept the young child safe. Mother Nature is so beautiful, kind, caring and an absolutely determined to protect those that needed her help! ❤️

There was this couple who had a pitbull. The dog was friendly to everybody. He was much loved. The woman was pregnant & the dog laid on her stomach at night seemingly to protect the baby. After having their child, they brought it home & set it down still in it's carrier. She went to answer the phone & was only gone for 30 seconds. When she went to retrieve the baby, the dog had ate half of the baby's face & she died. With animals, although they seem sweet, still have a wild side to them. Even dogs & cats. This is a nice story if it's true but you have to be real careful, especially with wild animals like bears. You can't fully trust them.

But whether the animals were simply created with that mindset or they were guided, makes little difference...the end result is still incredible.

Story last year of a young boy lost in the woods. When they did find him, he was alive, after a freezing night in light clothing. The young child told his Mom that a bear kept him warm throughout the night. There are some amazing stories of animals helping young children. Also in the news, a young boy fell into the gorilla enclosure. Child was unconscious, saved by a gorilla that protected him. Weird, strange, but all true.

@Zach Rhody there was another one in the 1990s , Bintang Jua, a mother gorilla, who took the young child to her door and knocked on it for the zookeeper. They had trained her with a doll. I wish they did that with the other gorilla.

I’ve heard two stories about boys getting lost in the woods in freezing lethal conditions. Once an elk used their body to keep the young boy warm. The other time it was wolves!!!

I hope the Ranger and his wife were able to adopt the little boy. The way I look at it that little boy couldn’t have a better father, because Peter never gave up, he put himself at risk to save the child from being mauled by a bear, that’s the kind of father we all want! What a story he will have to tell that little boy when he grows up. Very cool.
What an AMAZING story. That truly is a miracle baby. So many unbelievable things had to happen for that baby to survive and found by the perfect person. WOW! I will never forget this one. Im blown away by the whole story but the star of the story is the bear. I have heard so many stories of dangerous animals particularly females/mothers that have saved babies/children one way or another. There more like us than we give them credit for and stories like this just prove it
And as the boy grew, he remembered his time with the bears until one day he became famous the world over as an author and celebrity. You may have read his books or seen his TV show, "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams". And now you know the rest of the story.

. My aunt and I were followed by a bear when I was a toddler. As she carried me on her shoulders one evening while walking outside, it walked on its hind legs face to face with me. It must have only been curious about us because it ran away when my aunt screamed and ran. I remember it very well!

No way is any part of this story true.none of it .black bears will take a young child .in fact right off the porch while moms getting coffee.what doesn't happen is a safe return bears don't hang out with children for days on end protecting them.normally what would have happened is the bear would have instantly killed the kid then run off with him stopping about a quarter to a half mile away and even if an adult had begun chasing him immediately by the time the rescuer catches up the bears gone and there's nothing but scraps left of the child .stupidest story I ever heard

This was a fantastic story it kept my interest and on the edge of my seat . That bear actually took care of the baby and God works in mysterious ways. That was a miracle concedering both parent's died . And that ranger should get a ward for being so persistent even though know one beleaved him . And to find the baby in the cave was great and the ranger ended adopting the baby . I don't know if this story is fiction or not, but I do feel that people tend to vilify bears a lot. Bears are actually really not interested in eating or hurting us if we stay away from their babies. I've been in situations when I was very close to bears, and they completely ignored me.

I remember years ago I had been doing work for my baby sitter in Pennsylvania and I heard a man calling out, so I put on my shoes and went out. I introduced myself to him and asked him what was the problem, and he said my dog is missing, so I said I would help and within 30 seconds the dog came. Dogs are mans best friend. Given a situation like that I would HELP even though the child was not my own

I LOVE the way this narrator told this story. It was right to the point and he didn't drag it out. The pictures shown were of one individual and not several thereby trying to make it more dramatic. Thank you for telling a great, true story more believable.

This story was TERRIBLY done. Poor choice of images and video. EXCRUCIATINGLY wordy. Poor choice of words (e.g., "It seemed that Jacob got to safety." (up the tree) Either Jacob DID or he did not. "Seemed" is irritatingly vague. If this young man were a 3rd - 6th grader, I would give him an "A." If he is over that level, a C-.

I read a true account of a little boy who wandered off into the woods in USA in the early days. When found safe and well the next day, he said he slept with a big black "dog". It had been a bear. It's the God given maternal instinct to protect innocent young creatures.

Most Animals are very intelligent and knows that small children are harmless to them and gets protective of them instead of harming so it's not unusual behavior when such situation happens...I don't say it can't be harmed but most times they are careful when they aren't under any threat from humans or other animals

I was hunting elk with my husband and his brother in Colorado. We were walking up a steep hill looking down as we walked, when we heard a noise above us. IT was three momma bears and a number of cubs. They were warning us to leave. Even though the guys told me not to run, I easily beat them down to the bottom. What an amazing experience we had.

As a woodsman Treeplanter in the Pacific Northwest I had many encounters with bears all ran away they are peaceful animals until you mess with them. With that being said the bear is Russia's symbol for the very same reason, even the animals in the forest know better than to mess with a bear but do we?
Tommy Treeplanter, this is a poorly written "work" of fiction. This chap is a far cry from being a "Ranger" and the term is used so loosely here as to render it meaningless. The same goes for 99% of the splinterpickers I've encountered in the timber industry ... they are grunts; refugees from society, not "woodsmen." A bear is just a bear, and as a bear, it will only do bear stuff. The best advice I can give is to throw things at it ... DON'T HIT IT! ... just throw things AT it, and make a lot of noise. It's just a bear, but you do not want a close acquaintance with it. If "doing bear stuff" involves unzippering your foolish hide, make an appointment. I love to watch wildlife.

The guy they showed when talking about " Peter " .... is not Peter , it's Casey Anderson from Montana Grizzly Encounter . He rescued and raised a Grizzly cub called Brutus , who has been in several commercials .

What a great story. It is amazing how sensitive animls are to protect children. As a child I was known on occasion to play with black bear cubs and was never harmed. I can't say that when my mother and aunt saw me with the bears that they did not have a near heart attack. As an adult I would ride (on horseback) by numerous black bears and was never harmed. I am so glad the bear was not harmed and returned to the forest. Also as child, I would ride into the woods after school and take my young foal with me and he would play with the fawns. It was interesting to watch them play and to watch the momma deer watch the colt and fawns play. Those were great days !!
Im just glad the bear could get him out of the car seat and that the baby wasn't severely dehydrated.
This reminds me of the time I went camping and came across a bear with a baby in its mouth, he wouldn't let go of it until I offered to trade the baby for a pic-a-nic basket!

why is it impossible, with an open mind, anything is possible. People believed a dingo stole and killed a baby in Australia during the 80's! Also look at dingoes Fraser island,, only last week. A child was dragged away by a dingo.

When my dad was a kid in the 1930s,he had a neighbor whose wife died in childbirth. An old female hound dog nursed the baby boy , and took care of him while the dad was out working. Kid grew up fine.
This is the major problem with our species.

How can humans be bad for tring to rescue a baby more likely bears are more worse than humans because they can kill anyone suppose the bear was hungry and killed him so be ause of his fear tried to rescue the baby animals are good but its not always safe , so i get your point but you said it the wrong way cause if the baby was killed it was the bears and the mans fault for seeing the baby and doing nothing about it suppose that was you or me the bear was holding what would happen to you or me . There is a few documented that bears actually saved babies. They are not serial killers or rapist’. Some people murder and attack innocent people for no reason. Bears don’t do that, they just want to be left alone

It's an amazing coincidence that someone was there to film clips of the bear and the baby and other incidents.
I am glad that the baby was rescued from that bear even though he was caring for the child and Peter was a brave man for going out of his way even though he could have died from the bear and did the right thing even though no one believed his story in the beginning. It was a momma bear. The same thing happens sometimes with lions and baby dear. If the baby dear starts to imprint, the Female Lion gets confused, and will sometimes let the baby dear live. I don't know if this story was true, but it brought me to tears.

I have so many questions if it’s a baby how is it alive with no milk if it’s a baby wasn’t reported missing wouldn’t the police and the Rangers and everybody that was doubting him have seen a report of a missing baby?
