I think I've found an easier way. In the piano roll editor under 'functions', select ' time handles' (similar in Ableton) with it selected lasso the midi notes you want and pull the blue 'handle' at the top corner, to lengthen or shorten as required, snap or not depending on what you want. Hope that helps someone

Now I see the difference. Your notes are all with one midi region.
I have a different region, but of the same length, for each count, so 4, 5, 7 or whatever.
I assume there's some sort of midi merge if you want it all together.

Ahhh got you, Yeah what you could do is put them all into one channel, select all and group. that would merge them all into one midi track.

also a less CPU heavy way would be to make it a group and just trigger the 1 instrument. also would mean you could tuck it away neatly.
