- I go to the lowest division I have tried on Football Manager 2024. We begin the Cruelty of FM with Crewe Alexandra... managed by Chroo. I have never had success in the lower leagues of England, so can I find promotion or remain a fraud?

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of videos in the past month. I've just been having a harder time making FM videos. With that in mind, please don't expect weekly FM vids, although I'll do my best to get back to uploading to the channel consistently.
I forgot to mention it in the vid, but I've been streaming the series on Twitch for several months now, so you can check me out there a couple times a week at around 7:30pm GMT. There will be spoilers as were now in the 5th season over there.

I have a weird attachment to Crewe despite living far away in Singapore. I only ever really got attached to them when I got loaned out to them in my first ever FIFA Player career mode. So to see a series like this makes me happy. All the best Chroo!

Ah, League 2. One of my favourite ever saves was there (Northampton Town, who I got to the Championship on a squad of loanees, freebies, shits and giggles - I got Sean Dyche's son to be an integral part of my defence!). I wish you luck in your endeavour, as the gap in levels between L1 and Championship is far wider than the gap between L2 and L1

@@Chroo Something I found particularly helpful on L1 level were a striker combo of a targetman with good jumping reach/strength combo (doesnt matter if he's 37, he's still got some headers in him) paired up with a fast guy who is able to simply outpace the opposing centrebacks. Technical attributes don't matter that much on this level yet. I don't know if it'll still work - after all, my save was on FM22 - but you could give good ol' Big Bad Matt Smith a ring, I think he got like 20 goals in L1 for me despite having all the technique of a tree stump

This is probably gonna get lost in the sea of comments, but since you're doing this series I'd wholeheartedly recommend watching the FIFA 17 Youth Squad Legends series made by Cutzy with Crewe Alexandra. It's probably one of the best FIFA series out there, to this day as well. Hopefully you do get to read this comment!

You should do a western Sydney wanderers FM. Their rivals Sydney Fc, are one of the best Australian teams. Wanderers on the other hand, have not won the domestic A league, but have won a AFC champions league.

League 2 is probably the easiest bit of the ladder climbing, the national league is tough because only one automatic. Then there is the championship, have fun with the relegated PL clubs with £40-50 million wage budgets and paying players like £30-40k a week and a promoted side probably lucky to pay £5k.

For the attributes and some other stuff it’s OPZ Elite. That’s for video purposes. When I’m playing the game, I just use the default.
