It's so good that you are reusing , recycling the boxes and using papers from scratch writing notes. It's also cost cutting , especially when you are a beginner and starting from a scratch. Your idea of personal handwritten note is amazing coz it gives the customers a special feeling. I have also kept the cardboard pieces which I got while buying raw materials for jewelry online.

You don’t need any documents or formalities.. you can just start one at home. You only need GST if your business earns more than 10-20 Lakhs per annum if my understanding is correct.

With a lot of shipping companies that don’t work anymore as they require QR codes or so to update the pickup immediately through their apps. And just putting the address on paper and shipping doesn’t help with that. But if you’re shipping through Post Office, then yes, it can be done that way.

If you have a website, the buyer mobile number is a compulsory box they need to fill in along with their address, while doing a checkout. In case you’re directly talking to them and having them place orders through DMs, make sure to ask them for their phone numbers.
