I’ve watched this video so many times that even if I sit at a piano and do it alone, I still have to sing “CANT YOU SEE, WONT YOU SEE THE POSSIBILITIES! Ooohh yeaahh” at the end haha
Good Morning Prof, I m 70+ ,1st time came across your vocal warm up , i found with practices itmy synchronised my vocal and body system well, thank you
Prof I follow through this morning, I also have problems in some other areas to catch up as well , whether Prof do provide any other lessons in you tube etc where i could look into, thank you Prof , have a nice day
I absolutely agreed! I've come across several voice coaches but Mark Baxter is the best. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or a professional he'll guide through step by step easy to understand. I am a professional singer but haven't been singing for years. Now I feel I have to go back to singing again and Mark Baxter vocal warm up exercises really helped my singing back to where it should. Mahalo from Hawaii.
Mark, I have learned so much watching your videos. My voice is much clearer and stronger. Still learning to relax my throat. Thank you for sharing your gift
I'm a soprano with years of singing and lessons behind me. Lately I've been experiencing roughness in my lower passagio (middle C area for me) and looked for help from all the coaches on line. Mark is the first person to help me resolve this issue. And I love how he just jumps right in without any unnecessary talking. And having the text on screen is a wonderful addition. I would recommend him to any singer, both aspiring and long-time, or choral director. Thank you Mark!
I enjoy the tiny mistake made at 8.05 mark changing to "Oh", it makes me smile and relaxes my body. I always forget it's coming but it helps each time to break up body tension.
I totally agree! That little mistake is a sweet little highlight to my warm up with Mark. Reading your comment also brought on a smile of appreciation :- )
After 5-7 months of not practicing, my voice is gravel-y, cracks, harsh so after hearing the 50th celebration allows me to be the clown and relax and keep practicing without judging myself. I love to sing. It’s healing. Once you commented to me to move forward from my past. PTSD sent me down into quicksand darkness for that 5-7 months that I didn’t practice. I did journaling and watched everything from brain plasticity to motivational creative artist speakers. I am healing and able to return to your generous, genius talent. Your vocal lessons are not just for singers. They help us heal ourselves through developing new neural pathways form in our brains through creativity. You also makes me feel safe. Just seeing your kind and smiling expressions and hearing your voice. I’m 68 pushing 69 and I haven’t felt safe all my life. So if you are reading this, Mark, I feel like I can live joy and true happiness for the rest of my life because of you and your lessons. You helped me save my life. I no longer contemplate suicide. I won’t be singing professionally and say in front of thousands that you got me there. I can say in front of thousands on utube that you helped save my me on the stage of life. My gratitude to you is enormous!
from a 23 year old, this insight and vulnerability is super impactful for me to see. And I agree with the whole lot of it. I really do concur, Mark's work is something special. It's not *just* voice lessons. Hope you are doing well, sir, all the best to you and yours my friend. Keep vocalizing, keep singing, keep rockin. Much love 🤘
@You Sure About That? my abuse was inflicted by both parents. Music is very healing and scans have been run while music is playing tracking the brain neural activity displaying positive brain activity. using terminology of the brains neuro plasticity is the great research being conducted which explains the brains ability to rewire and heal. Participating in these lessons and the framing of the light hearted delivery that Mark is masterful with is very healing. Laughter combined with making musical sounds while strengthening your vocal chords is a multi purpose positive exercise you can give your body and brain. Add to this that Mark cares deeply about each of his students which is so validating to be seen and heard. I wish you peace and healing. Besides this very therapeutic approach there are somatic healing counseling that you can search on Utube to accompany Mark’s program. I believe that Mark is a very strong candidate for the presidential Medal of Honor from his dedication to the arts, providing these lessons that are very time consuming to put together over many many years to gift all of us to enjoy and benefit from.
Since I've been "working" with Mark my voice has gotten better and people have told me I sound younger. Thank you for what you do for your fellow man here on RUclips Mark

My directors of music have noticed. Thank you for being here for us who demand excellence in our performance. You are appreciated. A satisfied RUclips subscriber. Looks like I've just joined all the other happy people on here with this daily warm-up routine. Probably the best I've come across on RUclips for the intermediate singer. Many Thanks and Greetings from England.!
I was a pro singer until about 12 months ago. I had to take a break due family commitments. Since then my daily singing/vocal exercise routine has gradually faded away. This was my daily routine 5/6 days a wk (0n none performance days) 10 mins warm up, 15 mins vocal exercises, 30 mins singing, a 10 min break, 45 mins singing, 10 min cooldown = 2hrs. Now with family stuff all sorted from tomorrow it starts again and this is where I'll be starting. Time to slowly and gradually rebuild that vocal strength and stamina. Thanks Mark.
Hey Wigand. Check out Mark’s new “Epic Warmup for Singers”. I’m thinking about alternating between the 2 warmups each day. (Fun fact. In the new “Epic”, Mark is really good at reminding you to breath in through your nose! Which is a reminder I need a lot.)
I love the advice on the hanging jaw, the resting tongue, and the nose breathing. Just letting the air come back in without any gasping. And no selling blurb! A rare thing. Thank you for this!
Me too Patty! Mark's books are too! After being sick with covid, I wondered if I would ever bw able sing again. Mark proved I could with this video!! God bless you Mark!
I'm 35 years old and tone deaf, meaning I couldn't sing. I found this Vocal Warm up about 6 months ago and have been practicing it daily when I wake up in the morning. Now, I can sing! I even develop better control when switching between my Chest Voice, Falsetto and Head voice. Dear Mark! You really have no idea how much your Vocal Warm Up lesson has transformed me. A Big Thank you!
Hey Oliver. If you haven’t already, check out Mark’s new “Epic Warmup for Singers”. I will still do this original warmup, but I will be definitely the new Epic as well, probably on a daily basis. Thanks for sharing, Oliver, that you do this warmup daily. I think my voice deserves going through these 2 warmups 1x day!
I was able to do transition smoothly (yet not perfectly, yet) for the first time, doing everything as you do and following pop up text and I HAD THE FEELING AS IF AI AM BLESSED (it was emotional for me). Thank you very very much! I think I have just found my, no, MY VOCAL COUCH!
Thanks for the kudos Juliana! Talking To Animals is still in heavy rotation at the Baster house. Love that album! You are and always will be what I point to as a shinning example of an artist inhabiting a song.
Dear Mark, I want you to know that I feel you have become a friend. I hang out with you most days and so enjoy your company and the learning. I'm passing it on my young music students and bandmates because these are the best and most effective lessons I've found. Thank you so much for your generosity, spirit, wit and kindness ❤
Hai Sarah, I fully agreed I personally enjoy practicing following Prof Mark you tube. May I know where was the class or vocal camp help , thank you and have a nice day stay happy and healthy
Totally agree with you Thom. I have used other sites, one of them since July 2018, and this is pretty much the best one. I love the explanations he gives.
I do this everyday. 3 X 15min video rounds so 45 mins in total. However I've adapted it to use Mark's piano scale to do the first round all with 'lips rolls'. The second 15 min round I use Mark's vocalisations on this video which give my vowels a good even work out. And lastly I again use the background piano scales to work my chord closure with bhuh and ghuh sounds. I'm working developing my upper register which I'm seeing I can start hitting the higher notes like never before. Great video, Thanks for sharing this 🌟
@Joe Lynock yes I have for instance certain songs I would sing I can see it's much easier to hit higher notes and voice is more natural too. It's like going running around a regular route or lifting the same weight you can judge that you are moving forward and improving because it's the same. You have to be strict though and ask yourself is this what I really want then dedicate yourself to a daily practice come what may. Then you'll see results for sure.
@@neilbird8496 hey, I'm very interested in your method and I may start doing it myself! How are you doing now? Any improvements or things you've noticed?
@@childofthelivinggod. definitely see the results with daily practice. You get to really understand how your voice behaves. As I'm a baritone wanting to practice my head voice I experiment with vocal fry and 'ghoh' and 'bhuh'. I have definitely increased my range but want a bit higher still. First get a PLAN then stick to it. X
@@neilbird8496 aww, good for you! That's very motivating for me to hear honestly. :) I'm going to start doing the same thing, really, thank you for leaving this comment! I don't know if you know this but this channel (Voice Lessons.com) has a bunch of collected playlists (in the playlist tab) that may have just the playlist you need to really improve your voice! Best of luck to you and thank you again.
PS. I've also already seen results by doing this daily and it's only been about 4 days. I can sing with more power and my mixed and chest voice are way more blended. So really, this RUclips channel is gold. It doesn't waste your time trying to sell packages, it just wants to help.
I've been doing these warmups twice a dau for the past 4 days and my voice is just feeling more and more free every day especially for high notes and just control when singing. Thank you for this I will be doing them every day
@@voicelessondotcom one thing I am definitely seeing is the voice is literally like a hiking trail if that makes sense, so some parts of the voice are rough because air has never passed through that part of our voice before or at least consistently passed through that part of your voice which causes one's voice to crack or produce a gravely sound. For me in particular I always struggled to get good cord closure when singing higher but the "ahh" part off the warmup really helped me build better cord closure when going high because I actually started allowing air to pass through that part of my voice more consistently by doing this twice a day and the results is truly shocking. So I will just learn to practice areas of the voice that I don't access regularly so that the pathways will become smoother resulting in better vocal control. So consistency is truly key to develop stronger control in areas which are weak in one's voice. So really Thanks for this🙏💯
*correcting flaws* DON'T CORRECT FLAWS Okay I have some vocal damage and this is helping me recondition my voice, I just didn't realise the extent of it at first, and now I am getting on with regaining some of the quality that used to be there... It is like starting from having to learn to walk again. I have a weirdly low voice, most suitable for meditations. This is the best way to warm up the voice box. Thanks so much. Love your work.
This warmup is wonderful! I'm a former pro vocalist and have been hoping to get back into it, but my voice has not been cooperating :-) So, this afternoon after trying to sing comfortably and feeling frustrated, I followed your lead here and it was amazing - my voice just opened up and gave me renewed hope. Thank you Mark!!!
Going forward, I’m planning to sing both warmups each day. Doing these exercises has helped me improve vocal stamina, avoid vocal injury and take on technical singing challenges … all of which are now coalescing and helping me find my own, unique vocal style. Hooray for Hollywood!
Holy crap. So simple, so effective. Thanks Mark! Day 2: I just did this twice through and figured out to maintain even lower effort and just let the rasp happen. It destroys some of the notes, but I just carry on trying not to let it matter. Same low effort, easy, flutey notes. The rasp is actually starting to clear up!!! This really is the single best vocal warmup, and I’ve tried ‘em all!
Hi Mr Mark . I'm a 16 year old girl and it's been a year since I started taking singing seriously . Thank you so so so much for helping me through my journey and I love you from the bottom of my heart
✨🎄✨To Mark & Family, wishing you a really Happy Christmas, from Australia Such a wonderful Christmas gift to hav found you! Now onto morning scales! 🤣🌟🤣 🙏🏼 🐨 🦘 🐍 🦘 🐨 🎁 🎉
Released on my birthday hehe! Yo this is truly a great way to start the vocal practice. I find that jumping right into a 'warm up' (they should just call them exercises ... ) can be too heavy, or it takes a long while before you can properly practice the techniques and you can get tired by singing improperly at first. This is so useful... you are gentle and wise :)
thank you so much! this is the only vocal warmup i dont feel awkward doing and that i would actually reccomend to someone! I will use this every day now, it actually helped alot too
oh my god this is the best warm up video. thank you for singing the whole i didnt realize how subconsciously helpful that is. i am so naturally impatient that you not saying a single word was so helpful and to be able to get notes while i do it!! i dont have to stop and start. i did this laying on the ground to really feel my breath and it was very calming and almost meditative. this is a great warmup to do for anyone. its nice to feel ur voice so readily available
Mark, this warm up has been revelatory to me over the last year or so - as are all your videos, and I've still not watched them all! Love that you're with me on this journey everyday. Much love.
I use Mark's video practically ever day. It's been one month and a couple of weeks. Love it, Love Mark. One point I wanted to mention is that my throat is finally loosening up, letting me use diaphragm much more comfortable and less stressful. Thank you Mark.
These exercises have been helping me with my COPD. I used to exhausted after a minute or so, now I'm lasting for few minutes at a time. Thank you so much!
I had gone to you for vocal lessons maybe 12-14 years ago. Your lessons were unlike any I ever had. You noticed every little quirk I was doing wrong and had me work through them - instead of just blowing through arpeggios and singing as high and low as possible, without paying attention to the details. I wish I had been able to keep going all these years because those few lessons were the most valuable I've ever received. Years later... having some serious issues with my voice, particularly my head voice and falsetto, and stumbled across your videos by happy accident. I could barely get a note out up there. And within two days of doing a couple of your warmups, my voice is starting to work again. Hands down... the best vocal coach out there. And a very nice person.
I like that you do it with us and put the guides and reminders on the screen. That makes me less anxious as I’m singing but helps me be aware and adjust.
Been doing this for a straight week now Mark! Noticing better volume control and better pronunciation, im recommending this to all of my fellow singers
Thanks for the great warmup. I suffered some lung damage and lingering neurological symptoms from a virus (as far as the doctors can tell) in 2018. So, my musicality has been on hold while I fight to get my life back. I am going to start doing this every day to try and get my voice working again and to exercise my lungs. This is day 2! Thanks!
Pretty sure I found this video a couple years ago, and I use it just about every Sunday morning (and during the week) before I go to lead worship! Thanks so much for this incredible resource!!
This video is absolutely phenomenal. The only singing warm up guide that I've managed to retain attention span throughout the entirety of and still enjoy doing it every day (or every other day)! Thank you for this amazing piece of content, It's helped me in ways I can not describe, my singing voice is completely transformed! I also have more confidence and feel better about myself and more vocal in general! You've become a very personal figure to me as I often feel that the messages are directed directly at ME, and I always find myself laughing and smiling at the little mistake on "ohh", it's so wholesome and it never fails to brighten my day. Thank you, I really wish I could like this video multiple times!
So glad I have found you been singing since Last September I am 66 and had not sung for years I retired and wanted to sing but knew it was something I needed to do sensibly as the vocals had changed you’re practices are the best I have found so informative and practical so accessible and easy to follow thankyou these will support my getting back to singing in choirs and singing Mantras and Kirtan I cannot be any Happier thankyou 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Welcome to my channel! I'm happy to help!
See you tomorrow
Don't you see, can't you see the possibilities! Love that tune!
That's from a student of mine named Bowman - from his album "Believe."
Mark is the best teacher I’ve ever had! He saved my voice after I lost it due to misuse and I have never lost it again. Grateful
Well that's really nice Sarah! Glad to be your friend and to offer some help along the way!
I feel the same
@@wilsonrocha8967 Thanks Wilson - I'm happy to be a small part of your day!
Hai Sarah, I fully agreed I personally enjoy practicing following Prof Mark you tube. May I know where was the class or vocal camp help , thank you and have a nice day stay happy and healthy
2 years now I am using this,
what a thank you.
You're very welcome - glad you're using it!
I Really like your teaching style. Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals. Even pro's know that they never outgrow them. . Great job, Mark.
I'm going to start doing the same thing, really, thank you for leaving this comment!
Thank you for this I will be doing them every day
You're very welcome! Glad it's helping.
So really Thanks for this🙏💯
@@ruantristancarlinsky3851 You got it - consistency is the key!

Okay
I have some vocal damage and this is helping me recondition my voice, I just didn't realise the extent of it at first, and now I am getting on with regaining some of the quality that used to be there... It is like starting from having to learn to walk again. I have a weirdly low voice, most suitable for meditations. This is the best way to warm up the voice box. Thanks so much. Love your work.
Glad you're on the rebound Nicki!
Lower voices are beautiful. Especially for a female, don’t give in to the higher = better mentality!
Glad to help get you back to your happy place!
Has improved my singing and vocal control ten fold thank u for making this video
Thanks for posting about your improvement!
After 1.5 years of voice training this is still my favourite warm up exercises. Thank
Glad to be the fav!
In case you haven’t seen it, Mark also has another “Epic Warmup for Singers” that is a great complement to this brilliant and oh-so-useful warmup.
Going forward, I’m planning to sing both warmups each day. Doing these exercises has helped me improve vocal stamina, avoid vocal injury and take on technical singing challenges … all of which are now coalescing and helping me find my own, unique vocal style. Hooray for Hollywood!
Kudos to Mark for such great teaching. What a gift!!!
Thank you day 3 I love this warm up, see you tomorrow.
Thanks for posting!
Watched and practiced this so many times. Can’t give you more likes unfortunately. Thanks anyway. 🤗

I Wish You a Marry Christmas, Mark, and a very happy, prosperous and healthy 2022.
YOU ARE THE BEST.
Juan.
Thanks Juan - wishing you and your family all the best in the coming year!
Hi Mr Mark . I'm a 16 year old girl and it's been a year since I started taking singing seriously . Thank you so so so much for helping me through my journey and I love you from the bottom of my heart
I'm happy to help!
✨🎄✨To Mark & Family, wishing you a really Happy Christmas, from Australia

Thanks you! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Thank you for not talking and letting us focus on why we're all here - SINGING. Subscribed :)
Welcome to the channel!
I see my progress every day, thank you so much.
You're welcome!
one month later, getting better and better.! youre my idol.!
That's great!
Thank you Again Mark.!
One of the greatest teachers ✅
Thank you!
Glad you like it - and happy birthday!
Again .Thankyou Mark.
Really helping man .Matt the hat Cumbria England

thank you so much! this is the only vocal warmup i dont feel awkward doing and that i would actually reccomend to someone! I will use this every day now, it actually helped alot too
Glad to help!
oh my god this is the best warm up video. thank you for singing the whole i didnt realize how subconsciously helpful that is. i am so naturally impatient that you not saying a single word was so helpful and to be able to get notes while i do it!! i dont have to stop and start. i did this laying on the ground to really feel my breath and it was very calming and almost meditative. this is a great warmup to do for anyone. its nice to feel ur voice so readily available
Glad you like it - welcome to the channel!
Mark, this warm up has been revelatory to me over the last year or so - as are all your videos, and I've still not watched them all! Love that you're with me on this journey everyday. Much love.
Glad to help!
I use Mark's video practically ever day. It's been one month and a couple of weeks. Love it, Love Mark. One point I wanted to mention is that my throat is finally loosening up, letting me use diaphragm much more comfortable and less stressful. Thank you Mark.
Glad to help, Alan!
Perfect! Tried it for the first time today. You‘re my favorite. Greetings from Switzerland
Greetings - welcome to my channel!
These exercises have been helping me with my COPD. I used to exhausted after a minute or so, now I'm lasting for few minutes at a time. Thank you so much!
Secret bonus!
My favourite warmup. I do this every day while driving to work and it has made such a difference! Thanks Mark!
Good riding with ya!
Yessss ! This is it! Finally found the perfect daily vocal warmup! Thank you good Sir!
Absolutely awesome, have always wanted a good “switch” to turn my voice on, subbed!
Welcome to the channel!
Thanks for the kind post, Mark. Hope you're well!
Love this mark ❤️🎤
Glad you liked it!
Thank you Mark. Haven't done anything for a long time due to other demands & this was "just right"
Glad to help - welcome back!
I like that you do it with us and put the guides and reminders on the screen. That makes me less anxious as I’m singing but helps me be aware and adjust.
Glad to help!
No talk yet teaching so well. Thank you.
Please Mark, more of those warm-up routines! They are amazing! I always do them before I go to the studio :)
Appreciate this warmup so much!! Every time I sing, it's my 1st go-to. Thankful you get to the point and no needless or endless talking!
Glad to help out!
Been doing this for a straight week now Mark! Noticing better volume control and better pronunciation, im recommending this to all of my fellow singers
Glad it's helping!
Thanks!
Wishing you well in your recovery!
@@voicelessondotcom Thanks! Just purchased your Idol download tracks. Looking forward to working through them.
Pretty sure I found this video a couple years ago, and I use it just about every Sunday morning (and during the week) before I go to lead worship! Thanks so much for this incredible resource!!
You're very welcome! Glad to be a little part of your day.
Forever Grateful 💜💜💜
I'm so glad it's helping!
AMAZING... what a wonderful way to wake up my vocals. Everything now feels warm, flexible and ready to go ! Thank you !
You're welcome! Glad to get you going!
Thanks for posting this, Jack! I'm really glad it's helping. Sing on!
@@voicelessondotcom Wow... you responded less than 10 minutes later. You have my undying respect sir!
Mark, you've literally saved my, not great, but still, singing career! I sincerely thank you!
ANY career in singing is something to be proud of! Glad to help out.
Week 3 of daily morning warm up. So cool and very funny as well.
Welcome back Fiona!
Thank you, Mark! I thought musical heritage was enough. My range is expanded both up and down after 2 months of doing this 5 times a week.
That's great, Dave. Glad to help!
It's like being right there with your singing teacher! Wonderful!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you so much for sharing your skills, people really do appreciate the arts, and you are really appreciated. Thanks again.
Thanks! and - you're welcome!
Hello Mark! You are definitely making a big changes on every single student who wants to become a better singer. My father once told me; You have 3 choices in life; Lead, follow or get out of the way. Thanks for leading… Best regards from my beautiful Brazil.
That's a wonderful quote! I'm very happy to help.
You are the best.👌
No - YOU - are the best! :)
Love this man. What a great teacher. Please come to Australia!
Hopefully, I'll get there someday!
Thank you Mark! Been using this video for a couple of years now. You saved my voice! Which means you also saved singing for me, one of my greatest joys. Thanks again!
