It's a popular holiday destination for people of all ages, particularly families and couples, seeking a traditional British seaside experience. Southwold Town Centre also has some amazing shops, restaurants, bars and hotels.
Here are some of the top reasons people holiday in Southwold Suffolk:
Beautiful Beaches: Southwold boasts two beaches, each with its own unique character. The award-winning Southwold Pier Beach is a classic sandy beach perfect for sunbathing, paddling, and building sandcastles. It has the famous Southwold Beach Huts, some of the most expensive beach huts in the world. Denes Beach, on the other hand, is a wilder stretch of coastline with dunes and shingle, ideal for walking, kite flying, and enjoying the views of the North Sea.
Southwold Pier: This iconic pier, stretching out into the sea, is a major landmark in Southwold. It offers a variety of amusements, shops, cafes, and restaurants, making it a great place to spend an afternoon soaking up the seaside atmosphere.
Southwold has a long and fascinating history, evident in its colorful beach huts, 18th-century lighthouse, and the ruins of a medieval priory. Visitors can learn more about the town's past at the Southwold Museum and the Alfred Corry Lifeboat Museum, which houses a preserved 19th-century lifeboat.
Southwold is home to the world-famous Adnams brewery, a must-visit for any beer lover. Visitors can take a tour of the brewery, sample their award-winning beers, and enjoy a meal at their on-site pub.

Thank so much that means a lot
Southwold is the town that time forgot, and I mean that in a very affectionate way!
My favourite place
I used to go to Southwold and load beer from Adnams. Took a while to load so walked around many time lovely little town.
Happy memories of family holdays in Southwold. The sea was like a millpond most of the time for us. Fantastic quirk pier. Our best spot was un hill. Good beer too.
Happy times!
Southwold Suffolk is another awesome seaside town to explore
with the nice walk along the beach and looking at the nice shops
and places to eat in town is always great for me of course but as

then take care and thanks.🇬🇧👋

This looks a lovely place, thank you for sharing
Thank you too!
Love the clock it’s very eccentric
Is the brewery still operational? I went there over 30 years ago, but don't remember it well. Lovely to visit through your eyes..... I'll have to return some day.
I love Southwold.. Plenty of parking and beautiful beaches.. We go there often.. You video is beautiful Neil you do it proud x❤
Thanks so much
Lovely place
My go to place. Much more popular now than when I started to visit on a regular basis many years ago. It has a feeling that always draws me back in spite of the expense of staying there.
Southwold is a perfect seaside town and one of the nicest places to visit. I’ve been many times but saw some buildings and features in your video that I had not noticed. Had no idea there is a lighthouse tour. Thank you 🙏🏻.
That’s lovely of you to say thank you 🙏
Hello Neil, I have heard that the beach huts at Hengistbury Head are even more expensive! Love your videos as always. Thank you. 👍
bit cloudy, thats good too. good captures,
Thank you 🙏
Hi Neil, am pleased you’ve finally got to the Suffolk Coast, it’s beautiful as is the countryside. Enjoy.
Thank you
It’s only a brief stop for now as had to shoot off to meet my girlfriend in Kent
That was fabulous. Very happy memories thank-you 🌹
Thank you 🙏
Love this , I really do want to visit Southwold, looks lovely plus another reason my ancestors on my dad side was from there. They were sailors / boat owners. I think I caught a glimpse of a ancestors house in Queens Street
I enjoyed watching this, I was lucky enough to visit Southwold a couple of times during 2018 and really thought it was lovely. Such a long way from where I live though (Hampshire), even by train. Rumour has it DJ Chris Evans was looking at property here a while back, not sure if he ever bought any.
Great area to live
I love it
Used to work at the pier and used to love working there til it was brought by new owners earlier this year, who started making changes nobody was happy with. So I left there 5 months ago after 6 years and everyone else was sad to see me go. Some of them have left too since then. But I'd still recommend the pier to anyone who loves arcades, gift shops and fun attractions like The Under the Pier Show, the Water clock and the Whacky Walk of Mirrors. Though just to be warned, the new owners have put the prices up even higher than Gough Hotels used to.
Hello Neil how are you love your vidio of great Yarmouth and this one too we have had beautiful weather here in Manchester but its going to change its alot cooler today is it sunny were you are best wishes take care stay safe xx ❤😅😅
Southwold is a beautiful place. My uncle and aunt used to own one of the houses that you showed on South Green and owned a beach hut - not my income bracket I hasten to add! Any chance of filming Aldborough?
Not sure if it's still open but the best place for fish & chips was Mrs T's at the Harbour.
You could certainly see what the posh end of the beach huts were, windows and a veranda and probably an extra £50,000+ 🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
many other seaside towns and villages on that coast to visit...take your crabbing net!
Oh yes!
I went to Southwold once, not to buy a ridiculously expensive beach 🏖️ hut but to check out the church and its beautiful ceiling. It was closed 🔐😳🥴. A lovely area and beach. I'll go again but I'll pass on buying a beach hut. 🤔🙄🤷🤷
Yes they're a bit pricey aren't they! 🤣
Is it worth a days visit
Definitely
