Man when he was talking about the voice actor strike and said "people expect the same voice for the characters they love" it really made me remember how much I hated how they replaced him as snake. David, you will always be the Snake. Love you man, you are the snake i grew up with and you will always be the snake.

Man wish I met this man or was at the event once in a life Time stuff as I live so close to Manchester and meeting my childhood hero the guyver and the first game I played was mgs1 and just fell in love with the franchise not going to lie I only just tried mgs5 I loved the game but felt like I was not on the same journey with snake he loves the franchise so much and loves his fans keep up the work david you are a massive legend and learned so much through the work and efforts you all put in to the franchise 👍 Not replaceable in my opinion wich counts about as much as a cows fart into the atmosphere 👍
No offence but in retrospect i am glad he never did Mgs5 or the Pre-game before that. 4 was the natural ending. 5 was just unfinished crap. It might have hurt his image more then it would have done any good. But thank god Kiefer Sutherland took the fall. You can say about Hideo Kojima what you like but suddenly dumping him because you have a hard-on for Kurt Russel...more like obsession really still not just giving that up after 4 games...and portable games. I get a better picture over how 5 flopped. Not wanting to make the game,going overbudget..change shit that don't need changing cause David Hayter was happy enough to do it. Cause in the end Kojima still never got what he wanted. Kiefer is a good actor and not a bad choice. But lets be honest we all know who we wanted to hear. He is infused with Snake.
Yeah but still they did that in 4 as well when Snake met Big Boss in the end. Snake was offcourse voiced by David but Big Boss was voiced by Richard Doyle. While in Snake Eater (MGS3) it was David who voiced Big Boss. Wich is a fine solution with me. 5 was just riddled with problems. Kojima was allready sick of it making 4. Konami had nothing besides MGS going for them to make money on and even after Kojima left they bled MGS dry. It was released half finished and honestly it did not feel like a MGS. They brought a halfassed Volgin from MGS3 back (The burning man) Wich was never explained further. Psycho Mantis as a kid. (Another hard-on i don't get as 4 allready did it) The Metal Gear you fight. (Screw the name of that thing) made REX in MGS1 blush. And REX is supposed to be more advanced. The missions were poorly executed. The BORG rejects you fight (Overpowered is a understatement but hey at least the female ones wear bikini's. Ohw yeah that made it better to look at. NOT.) It was a joke and if i did not know better Kojima just gave Konami the finger making it all wanting it to fail. That and deadlines and going overbudget. Games like movies should know when to quit. MGS5 told me nothing i did not know allready. It's just Konami squeezing it for all it's worth. And yes as you can probably tell it angers me and i am a true fan of the games and that it gets treated like this. In the end the perfect match up for GZ and Mgs5 as far as voices go would have been David Hayter as Venom Snake and Richard Doyle as Big Boss. In retrospect i am glad they did not.
I actually liked Kiefer A LOT as Snake, David's Snake has become more of a caricature over time.... Kiefer sounds naturally how David has to manipulate voice to sound like.

When people ask Hayter if he ever wants to work with Kojima again it's so cringy. I don't think the two have ever even met. Hayter works with the American producers to record his performance in the states.
