- Why Sonic Frontiers Update 3 music? Why Ridge Racer Unbounded? Why this video? What is this channel? Who is this channel even for?
I can only answer the first 2 questions easily... I like racing games and I was bored and lacking any ideas for more original RUclips content. That and I just enjoy playing games outside my regular content niche, despite making somehow of a following recently on racing games.
Also, Ridge Racer Unbounded from the start had mixed reviews, barely anyone bought it and diehard Ridge Racer fans thought this game was a betrayal... and it was the last RR game... yeah after 2013, the racing game landscape has gotten a lot more depressing... I genuinely enjoy Ridge Racer Unbounded though, screw the reviews.

Ridge racer unbounded is definitely one of those games that probably would've sold a lot better and not caught as much flak had it just been named something else or simply just unbounded. Kinda get the feeling that the Ridge racer name was probably slapped on last second of development

Okay, but this game's presentation is just great. How the lap/time ahead indicators appear on the track itself was cool as hell.
Judged based on its own merits, this is actually a solid racing game. Also, I'll never get sick of putting songs from other media into racing games.

Funny you mention it because I got this game when I asked at a game store for Split Second. Looking back on it, the shop consultant knew his games well...
This song sounds like it has some killer Instinct 2013 music to it (One of them I suppose)

Ah, the ridge racer game which isn't a ridge racer game. Still pretty fun though if you look at it past that.
Now that you mentioned that i think that was kinda the whole point in ridge racer unbounded and to be completely honest this wasn't the first time
I can see why RR fans felt betrayed, this looks more like Burnout than Ridge Racer.
Now add on the fact that this is the last Ridge Racer game too...
@@MariusUrucuon the bright side, the demo introduced me to skrillex, KiLL EVERYBODY will never not go hard, but that's about the only good thing, i'd rather play split/second for environmental destruction
@@possibly_benI appreciate Unbounded for merging mechanics from different racers I enjoy despite being derivative and the driving model while takes time getting used to is genuinely satisfying. Definitely an underrated racing game that got too much hate IMO
@@MariusUrucuI didn't even know this game GOT hate, but from the perspective of diehard RR fans I can kinda see where they are coming from. But I play many racing series and I thoroughly enjoy this and many previous RRs.
