I just received the Q3 last week. I spent a day setting it up for my style of photography. I took it out and photographed a small wedding that was both indoor and out doors. The results were unbelievable excellent. This makes photographing weddings fun again. I’m so impressed with the Q3. One camera one lens, compared to a ton of equipment that I use to carry. For me this camera is a dream come true camera. On a side note I also have a Q2 monochrome and used it just for some very unique old school shots, and my clients loved them. With no exception I’m in heaven on earth. This camera has and will change the professional photographic industry for ever. As they say just buy one and see for yourself.
Leigh, I hope your surgery went well. I just received my Q3. It was choice for three reasons. First - I can now use it for Astro. The Q/Q2 are limited in shutter speed/ISO combinations. No way to get 30 second exposures at ISO 3200. Q3 allows the photographer to use that amazing lens to its fullest. Second - yup, the flip out screen. Low angles are much easier. Third - Sensor upgrade improves ISO performance and allows capture at even longer crop factors. Thanks for all you do to help the community!
Good luck on your second back surgery. I had a lumbar fusion 9 weeks ago and within 2 weeks of the surgery was walking more and without pain. Incredible surgery in the right hands of a surgeon. Thanks for this review.
While I'm not a Leica owner, nor do I lust after Leica gear, I'm curious about the Q3. I very much appreciate this non-hype video about the Q3 launch. I clicked skeptically (YT algo brought me here), but I stayed 'til the end of you sharing your thoughts (one of the few that I have on this topic). Thanks for your clarity and grounded video essay. I really do appreciate it! 😊
Thank you for this video. About a decade ago, I had a pretty bad car wreck that messed up my back pretty bad. It was no fault of my own, but it changed my life forever because carrying around my larger canon cameras, that I loved so much, became impossible. The last wedding I shot with my big beautiful beautiful 85mm F1.2 left me in tears by the end of it because I couldn’t even lift my arm on account of the horrible back pain. If I am going to delve back into Photography this is the only camera I can buy.
I bought the original Q specifically for a planned long motorcycle trip. The Q is absolutely perfect as a tank bag camera, combining that fantastic lens with a solid but compact body. I currently use the M11, from which the Q3 likely gets its sensor, and I can only imagine how far the Q has progressed from the wonderful first generation. This also bodes well for an SL3 at some point, incorporating the hybrid autofocus technology. Best wishes for your recovery following your second surgery, and thanks for sharing this beautiful imagery.
Journey to Leica Q3 I was a fairly early adopter of the Fuji X100 series (2013) as my EDC. Also, longtime Nikon shooter (D100, D300, D700, Z6II, Z9, Z8) as the workhorse/duty camera yet my everyday camera was the X100S then X100F then X100V until moving to Nikon mirrorless 2021. Tried several options with Nikon Z6II to make it the EDC, short primes, pancake lens, small telescopes but no option worked as well as the X100V. Bear in mind, the X100V had some annoying limitations, which is why I moved to mirrorless to address (auto focus and manual controls were chief among these). Since 2019, I have watch both the Leica M and Q series reviews and experiences. A dear friend and fellow professional photographer is a life long Leica shooter(mainly film) and has encouraged me to jump onboard for decades. So after the Q3 announced, I pre-ordered and am awaiting the experience. The 60MP allows good flexibility to crop/compose even with the wide 28MM lens (which, by all accounts, is excellent). The ergonomics are not as preferred (the wireless hand grip will help) but the manual controls allow fast changes and feel great. I am hopeful the Q3 tradeoffs and workflow will fit my desired use case. Thanks for the great review and tacit encouragement. Keep pressing forward. Cheers!!
my gosh i just cliked ur video and boy its seems like you either work at DA s office or ,teachers or some sort of senior supervisors , this is a great presentation . I am gonna get this camera as a reward ....after I finish editing my 15 terabyte of procrastination data from old phones . . . .
I almost bought a q2, but didn't pull the trigger as it wasn't all I wanted out of a camera. The flip screen just made this camera perfect - I also like the Panasonic feel of the focusing that they added. Panasonic is surprisingly a great camera and to add their focusing into this was great IMO. I am basically almost retired now and this may be the camera I will get for my retirement days. 😃
I am absolutely intrigued by the Q3. I have a Q2 and have to say that capturing moments with it has been the height of my amateur career. It is a dynamic system that is ioncredibly simple, yet complex and the camera is beautiful. Leica for life.
Good luck with the back surgery. I had one in November then a second in March. Back in physical therapy before being evaluated for a third surgery. Wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. And great review!
The Q3 is certainly tempting but being a Q2 owner I find I cannot give it up. I have captured some wonderful pictures with it. And I am a traditionalist. My second Leica currently is the M11 and I am in love. Having done a lot of manual work in a darkroom in my youth this camera is a dream.
I hope your second surgery gets you quickly back to your 100% (which would be 200% for most people). I love your review. I don't think either the Z8 or the Q3 is in my future until I master the mirrorless gear in my bag, but oh my gosh a man can imagine! If I ever own a Leica, the Q3 is the perfect choice for me. I've been waiting for May 25th, and yours is my first introduction to the Q3. Thank you for a wonderful review and thank you for sharing your Q3 pictures.
All of my reservations have been addressed. I would jump, but the arrival of the Q3 means the Monochrom will soon follow. That would be my holy grail. Hope all goes well with your second surgery and recovery.
If I could, I prefer to have this than the others that have interchangeable systems. Primary reason is, I will just use this personally and not for serious photography work. I just like to take photos and to personally learn basic to intermediate photography skills. I don't like lugging around a lot of camera gear and I prefer to just grab the camera, sling it with me and just take photos when needed. Very nice review of this Leica Q3!
Does the Q3 entice me ? Absolutely YEAH !! I love what it can do with just one body n one lense, plus, ofc, the huge number of MP’s !! It looks like it’s a camera u could do almost anything with, from macro to zoom’g into some distance feature n still getting absolute clarity & beautiful colours … And there is (still) the articulating screen, which opens up another universe to investigate & capture !!Yeah, I deffo want one !! // Excellent Review, by the bye, Thks !! (Ps. I think u mite discover u hv a Q3 b4 too long !! haha !! / ‘Hope yr Op is successful !! )
Love this! I just bought the Q2 a couple of months ago and wish I had waited. While the Q2 is absolutely amazing, I would have liked the better ISO and new AF performance. Time will tell whether or not I sell this and upgrade, but I am very happy with my camera!
A lovely and informative film on the Q2 and Q3; more an emotive reaction to each than a strict breakdown of their individual attributes, but all the better for that. I wouldn’t say no to being given - or winning - either one, they both look absolutely delicious ! But I think I could make excellent use of the folding screen and the added pixels on the Q3. But I better save some adjectives for the Q4 …..
Good luck with the surgery. I fractured my spine last year and fortunately didn’t need surgery but I know how debilitating a bad back can be. I have a Q2 and an M11 but I’m still very tempted by the Q3. The problem is that my Q2 is so fantastic I’m struggling to find a reason to upgrade, especially as I have the 60MP sensor in the M11
I have owned Q2 about a year now and I have enjoyed my time with it. Q3 comes with more improved with tilting screen with more megapixels. Mini usb to charge and transfer footage directly to laptop and iPad. More battery life with 18%. Am little confused whether I should sell my q2 and buy q3. Am not a professional photographer. Am just a casual photographer (or could say I’m a hobbyist). What do you think? Let me know
Fingers crossed you have a speedy recovery for your second spine surgery. Oh wow, what I would give for a Q3. I have two main cameras, a Panasonic Lumix TZ90 and a Canon 5DSR with lenses, ranging from wide-angle to prime zooms. But if I could have just one camera.
Hi. I just found your channel and find it very enjoyable to watch. I like your style of presentation and straight forward approach. It also doesn’t hurt that you come across as very likable as if you were sitting there talking to a friend. Thanks for the info.
Thank you for including so many photos in this video. Watched too many other videos where it was too much footage of talking heads and not enough of the results. And best of luck with your spine surgery. I've had spine surgery as well, and it's not the easiest to recover from -- but if you (eventually) get the results you want, it's worth it!
"a few clouds - well this is probably pollution" that comment made me smile and maybe laugh a bit. Thank you for another great review and luckily I have my first Leica on it way from Denmark to Greenland. It is the Q3 and I can't wait to hold it in my hands 😍
I am about to purchase my first Q system camera and this video was really helpful. I think I may still want the Q2 because of the cleaner aesthetics, but then flip screen .... like you said, I am labouring over this. Onto the next Q3 video :D. I hope you are feeling better with your back. I know how difficult back issues can be ... I live with one :)
Great camera, the Q and M series have both always been my favorite Leica lines. And you also seem very chipper in the video. I’m glad you’re feeling better 🙂👍
A wonderful review thanks, I use se Leica-Q2, looked a few reviews of new Q3 in a general good upgrade, but not Cardinal, this would be a camera of a projective focal splash, and then it would be an incredible camera, but then she would have buried the m system ... and you're incredibly beautiful..)
Thank you for the clarity. You always hit the key necessary high points. I was struggling with whether to sell the Q2 for the Q3, but I do love the Q2 look. Both great cameras. Good luck with your surgery and hope you find relief!
I love the Focus Assist feature of the Q2. It is such Fantastic help when using the Manual Focus feature of the superb 28mm Summilux 1:1.7 (ASPH) lens. I use focus peaking Red along with the magnification feature. The Q2 & Q3 are phenomenal cameras that are so intuitive and offer the Photographer such a pleasurable experience.
I’m sorry to hear about your back and can empathize with you. I’m fused from C3-C7 with a ti cage and my lower back is fused from L4-S4. My neck was broken at C3, C5 & C6 in a work accident. The nerve damage to my upper body, has caused me to sell my M11 with 35/1.4 Summilux FLE I, and 75mm Summicron because my arms can’t hold the camera steady enough to focus. So, I found an open box Q2 M at B&H and I’m very happy with it. I’m looking forward to the Q3 M. I just prefer b&w.
Great video. Q3 looks tempting to me, but im not sure it can replace my Sony system…although I use my 28 the most. Good luck on your back. Hope you recover quickly
I was watching you shooting the low angle shot in jealousy as my knees won’t let me squat down like that, and then you mentioned the spine surgery. I was shocked to here that considering how flexible you looked. I wish you the outcome you’re hoping for!
Thanks for this I really enjoyed it. I’m a Q owner and unlikely to upgrade any time soon ($$$$) and I just love it. I’ve been down the M rabbit hole (700mm min focus, really?) I’ve been down the LUMIX one as well - all those menus. I just wanna take the best mono photos that I can and for me the Q nails it. At almost 80 though, a tilt up screen would be great ✌️🇦🇺❤️
Great video as usual sorry to hear about your back. I encourage you to try some ancient Indian and Chinese concoctions which can in many cases avoid surgery. Stay Blessed both of you and keep up the great work.
Great review. I probably will upgrade as some of the new features and improvements are quite compelling. I’m drawn more to photos of people and have found myself using the Q2 over my Sony camera. I like your conclusion that the Q3 is very close to being a great every day camera. I’m looking forward to using it. Meanwhile I assume you’ve had your surgery. I hope it went well and that you’re recovering nicely. Best
On the waiting list for the Q3. Though I have my keeper in the SL2 I want to add the Q3. Nice review especially the low light capabilities. I had the Q2 and returned it within my 30 day grace period because I was not happy with the low light performance. So, now the wait begins. Nice review.
This is a great review. Although the focal length of the lens is what I love, having a Leica seems to be more about status rather than photography. If you have 50 prints made by 10 different cameras and only one of the prints is made by Leica, whatever the model, and you can immediate point out which print is Leica, then the purchase of it is justified. Sure, no one can argue that the camera is not attractive; for the large price tag, this is the least Leica can deliver. And of course, the red dot gives a lot of bragging right, if impressing others matters to the photographer.
I love my Q2. I like the idea of a floppy screen, but I would have expected it to be flush with the body. But if you do want/need a floppy screen then the Q3 is probably a deal. Great video!
as a Q2 owner, i am excited about the possibilities of what SL3 can be, given where Q3 is now. the Q3 is obviously better than Q2, i just don't feel the need to upgrade my gears at every new generation. simply put, the difference that a Q owner will feel when should they buy a Q3, would be huge. This is what i am looking forward to, when i buy the Q4 or Q5. Having said that, shortly after i bought the Q2, i knew i would eventually go into the SL system. Following my logic, it made less sense for me to buy the SL2, right after Q2. So i knew i was going to wait for SL3. For this generation, i believe my budget will go to SL3, and in the future, i will toggle betwne upgrading these 2 ranges - assuming i did not end up buying a M12 or some M camera.
Great video. Excellent information on the Q3. I am looking for a fixed lens camera to shoot concerts from the front row. I am looking at the Q3 and the Sony RX1R II. Any thoughts on which might be better? Thx.
I’m with you on the aesthetic. The step back in industrial design really disappointed me as well. I get why, but I feel like the Q3 is already the most “dated” feeling body out of the 3 Q’s, and it’s not even out yet. Part of the price tag is for that design aesthetic. The lack of internal memory and audio in was also a big miss, especially since adhering to design was no longer a constraint, no excuse to not bulk the body even more and check all of the boxes. I’m much more excited about picking up a well loved used Q2 now, much more than I thought I’d be.
Good morning! Just received the Q3 but was wondering about your thoughts on the new Q3 43 for Street photography?? Pros? Cons? Any opinion would be appreciated. Thx!
Oh gosh, Leigh. I'm loving my Z7 with its nifty 50mm MC (macro) lens BUT shouldn't I have a fine, Leica camera in my life once! The first time I saw a Leica was in 1970 at Forester Pass on the John Muir trail. I was carrying a Nikkormat FTn with a 50mm f/2 and a 200mm f/4 (both still in my film camera box) and a hiking group passed me carrying a Leicaflex SL. Now I'm carrying a Sony RX100 VI while hiking but I am a point in life where I will hike slower and observe more. I think the Q3 could replace my RX100 while out hiking, and if weight is a problem, I could leave at home a sleeping bag or leave a tent or take less food.
I have lusted after the Q2 and now the Q3 has come out and I’m thinking I’ll be getting that instead. I like the flip screen and the USB-C port to be able to charge in camera.
Thank you for sharing this video. I have placed an order for a Q3...and I expect it will take several months to get it (if not longer). I am trying to figure out what photography means for me - the cameras have become so perfect and easy to use that I sold everything and I'm now using a Leica MP with one lens (a 50 Summicron) and I'm shooting one film (Illford HP5/400). Maybe I'll have an answer by the time I'm able to finish the order.
What an interesting question - "what photography means for me." It is so easy to get carried away with all of these amazing cameras and lenses being introduced but minimizing with something like the a Q body or your MP with a 50mm can be much more enjoyable than having an entire bag full of the latest bodies and lenses. :)
Good luck with your surgery. This camera checks off a lot of boxes for serious street photographers, it is somewhat restricted to this genre but some improvements gives it a bit of extra usefulness and one cannot complain about the glass that's for sure. Thanks for sharing.
I love it! I didn't purchase it after borrowing it from Leica because we already owned the Q2 and a ton of other gear, but I still think about that camera. Here's my video on it... ruclips.net/video/Sjt8PRfEpNs/видео.html
Excellent review as always. I probably wont step up to the Q3 as I like my Q2 and the price is a bit of a stopper. More importantly I hope your surgery goes well and you can back to your so impressive level of activity,
Do you ever had the problem with the exposure not showing simultaneously when you change the aperture on the ring not changing on the viewfinder at the same time ? Only in video works…but in picture mode you can only see it once you take the picture…thanks
1. All the best for you regarding your back. 2. I love my Q and wouldn't upgrade to Q3 because I think the Q has the cleaner design and upgrading is expensive. But the sensor and battery update would be nice.
One thing I may not have mentioned in this video is how Leica cameras do last. I don't feel that I need to purchase the newer versions every time one becomes available. I'm completely happy with my Q2. :)
Fingers crossed for your surgery and your health in general! Great video - these are really beautiful cameras. I simply don't mind the interrupted lines caused by the articulating screen. Is a $6K full-frame fixed-lens camera for me? Not really, but if I were rich, I would think of it as a wonderful gift for a real photography lover, particularly a street photographer. But personally, I don't see how the cropping is a special feature!
Gosh as hobbyist photographer, I just can't simply afford the Leica cameras. They are awesome cameras and would love to own (my dad a Leica film camera) one, but unless Leica sends me one or I win a sweepstakes I will never own Leica camera. I hope your surgery went well Leigh.
Hey Raymond, how did her second surgery go. I'm her unofficial medical cheerleader, hope her problems were dealt with effectively. I gained weight during my chemotherapy and when I went to a car show today (father's day) with my Canon 5D 4 with 16-35 I know I missed out on a lot of shots because getting low enough was not fun with a back that is still healing. As I was walking to my car I came to the conclusion I brought the wrong camera and lens. I should have used my definitely not new Fuji X T1 with flip screen which the Canon did not have. Hey Leigh heal quickly.
It's a beautiful piece of kit BUT I have to ask. How do you as a buyer rationalize the price vs. having a fixed lens? That is a ton of money for something without flexibility.
Fair question. I think the camera has quite a lot of flexibility. We all have a different style of photography and different preferences. For me, the cost of the Q2 was balanced with how much I love using the camera. That being said, I have other cameras for wildlife, fast action, etc.
@@LeighAndRaymond Thx for the comment. I just have to file the Leica (all of them) in the luxury item file. The pricing makes them basically unattainable. I've never even held and let alone tried one but I'm willing to bet that the high price has no relation to picture quality. It's a super nice piece of kit that comes with a ton of bragging rights. I'm sure it's good but... oh well. Thx again.
Hey, so I’ve never owned a Leica before and will be moving from a Nikon D800. Would you suggest going for a Sony A7RV with a prime 35 f1.4 or instead go for a Leica Q3 for a similar price? I’m a hobbyist photographer and mostly do general photos and product photos (watch photography). What do you recommend?
That's a big question because the two will be completely different in terms of capability and usability. I would recommend thinking if you want the option of interchangeable lenses and I really recommend going into a shop and trying both. That will be the best way to determine which is right for you. :)
I wonder why Japanese manufacturers won't produce a similar camera to the Q3. If priced right, I'll buy one immediately! Kinda like the Lumix LX100 but full frame.
It's hard to get excited for digital these days, I've shot film for the past 4 years and feel like I haven't missed anything haha.. some real innovations would be cool, maybe some kind of different sensor tech for a more organic look, I don't know
Okay, I tried the Q3... but it's not for me. What I want when I photograph is to compose my picture at capture, not by cropping afterwards. So I need a compact with Zoom AND excellent lens quality (as good as the sum micron 28mm f1,7 ??). What would you recommend?
I just received the Q3 last week. I spent a day setting it up for my style of photography. I took it out and photographed a small wedding that was both indoor and out doors. If you'd have to choose one between Q2 monochrome, Q2 and Q3, which one would you chose and why?

all the short comings in the design beside... I sent back my Q2M to get a Q3... now I am on a looooong waiting list. All the best for your surgery
Your review of the D-Lux 8 convinced me to buy it as my EDC. This review now has me pondering the Q3 (or 4) in a few year’s time. 👍

I wonder about autofocus in the next SL iteration as well!
Although I don't possess a Leica, this review is excellent. The Leica Q3 has my attention. Thank you, it was helpful.

Wish you the very best on getting your spinal surgery completed and a quick full recovery.

And great review!
I'm sorry you're dealing with back issues. Hopefully we'll both recover soon!
I really appreciate the style and pacing of your reviews, Leigh. Thank you.
Would LOVE a Q3!
I hope that your surgery went well and that you are recovering quickly.
Thank you for explaining the importance of that huge sensor. I was already sold but now I'm fully informed and ready to buy!
Great review. Did you find the colors different coming out of the Q and Q2?
Glad Leica retained the 28 mm focal length. It’s my favorite for landscapes. The 60 MP enables flexibility for cropping in.
I'm thinking of getting a Q3 for landscape myself. Are you happy with the Q3 for landscape?
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
I hope your second surgery gets you quickly back to your 100% (which would be 200% for most people). I love your review. Thanks for this review! Sending best wishes for a super speedy recovery from your back surgery.
All of my reservations have been addressed. I would jump, but the arrival of the Q3 means the Monochrom will soon follow. That would be my holy grail.
Hope all goes well with your second surgery and recovery.
The Leica Monochrom cameras are so wonderful. And thank you for the well wishes. I had surgery on Monday and I’m feeling a bit better today. :)

I watched the whole video. Great video. Sounds like it's an amazing camera, only photographers can dream of having one.
I hope your recovery is easier than expected! This is a valuable practical video. Thank you.
Let me know
Get the Q3. Wow you look amazing after all this years
Sunset desert shots were awesome, in exactly as you said, colour and light gradation ... awesome review ... good luck
Thank you for the well wishes. This recovery is going take some time but I'm already feeling a little better every day. :)
Great video. I own the M11 and SL2s. Having never owned a Q will add the Q3 to my line up. Good luck with your surgery
Hoping your back surgery goes well, remember we have the power within ourselves to heal everything. Command your body to heal.
❤
Love your reviews. Always the very best.👍👍👍
A very good review Leigh. Yours obviously is not the first. I have to say though, much appreciated!! Greetings from Norway!
Absolutely. Take for example a Fujifilm XT5 with the 18mm 1.4.
Thanks for a great video. I am sticking with my Q2 for now.
I love my Q2. I like the idea of a floppy screen, but I would have expected it to be flush with the body. But if you do want/need a floppy screen then the Q3 is probably a deal. Great video!
Hope you are feeling better. How did you hurt your back?
as a Q2 owner, i am excited about the possibilities of what SL3 can be, given where Q3 is now. the Q3 is obviously better than Q2, i just don't feel the need to upgrade my gears at every new generation.
simply put, the difference that a Q owner will feel when should they buy a Q3, would be huge.
Thx.
I currently use a high end canon with great glass. I do a lot of landscape and family/grandkids. Would you recommend the transition to the fixed lens?
the q3 is a game changer, definitely
I’m with you on the aesthetic.
The step back in industrial design really disappointed me as well.
I get why, but I feel like the Q3 is already the most “dated” feeling body out of the 3 Q’s, and it’s not even out yet.
Part of the price tag is for that design aesthetic.
The lack of internal memory and audio in was also a big miss, especially since adhering to design was no longer a constraint, no excuse to not bulk the body even more and check all of the boxes.
I’m much more excited about picking up a well loved used Q2 now, much more than I thought I’d be.
I didn't even think about the audio in, but with the advanced video features, I suppose it would make sense to have it!
The colors are stunning.
The Q3 is the best so far
Never mind the Leica, I am so glad to see Leigh back in action.
Hey Leigh and Raymond. What do you think of the Q3 when it comes to portraiture?
May your surgery go well. I keep my fingers crossed ❤
Thank you! It went well and I'm feeling a bit better each day.
P.s. Leigh, I hope the surgery went well and that you are recovering fast.
Thank you! I'm definitely on the road to recovery. :)
I'm continuing to compromise, but if the opportunity ever presented itself, the Q3 is my dream camera.
Your video gave me all the information that I needed. Thanks and keep up a great work.
Thanks for watching!
I have lusted after the Q2 and now the Q3 has come out and I’m thinking I’ll be getting that instead. I like the flip screen and the USB-C port to be able to charge in camera.
I’ve just gone back to rewatch the video you did 2 years ago on the Sigma Fp L. I’m curious to know how you compare the Sigma Fp L to the Leica Q3 ?
I am keeping my Q2. For similar reasons to you.
Thank you for a wonderful very professional with a lot of heart and soul
Love my Q, especially for street photography. Hope this surgery does the trick for you.
Cool video! What do you think about Q2 monochrome?
More importantly I hope your surgery goes well and you can back to your so impressive level of activity,
Thank you, Thayer! My recovery will take a long time but I'm feeling a little better each day so I'll get there. :)
4:19 Good Luck🙏 There is a way to fix back injury, I had it and happy after many years to not have it. But good luck to you !
Get well and stay well... 💐🌻🧘
Leigh would you really keep your Q2 over the Q3 considering they retail at more of less the same price?
It's a beautiful piece of kit BUT I have to ask.
How do you as a buyer rationalize the price vs. having a fixed lens?
That is a ton of money for something without flexibility.
Fair question. I think the camera has quite a lot of flexibility. We all have a different style of photography and different preferences. For me, the cost of the Q2 was balanced with how much I love using the camera. That being said, I have other cameras for wildlife, fast action, etc.

Thx for the comment.
I just have to file the Leica (all of them) in the luxury item file. The pricing makes them basically unattainable.
I've never even held and let alone tried one but I'm willing to bet that the high price has no relation to picture quality. It's a super nice piece of kit that comes with a ton of bragging rights. I'm sure it's good but... oh well.
Thx again.
Great video, very informative. Thank you.
Fantastic review Leigh!
Thank you!
I wonder why Japanese manufacturers won't produce a similar camera to the Q3. If priced right, I'll buy one immediately! Kinda like the Lumix LX100 but full frame.
They have, the Sony RX1
@@saturdayboy4454 Yup but it hasn't been updated in a long time.
What's wrong with Made in Germany?
@@lamaludwig1470 Nothing wrong, just the pricing.
Then what about Fuji X?
It's hard to get excited for digital these days, I've shot film for the past 4 years and feel like I haven't missed anything haha.. some real innovations would be cool, maybe some kind of different sensor tech for a more organic look, I don't know
Okay, I tried the Q3... but it's not for me. What I want when I photograph is to compose my picture at capture, not by cropping afterwards. So I need a compact with Zoom AND excellent lens quality (as good as the sum micron 28mm f1,7 ??). What would you recommend?
It is going to be a long wait to get one!
Great review and very „clean“ spoken English 👍
Thank you for watching! I try to keep everything easy to understand for everyone. :)
