Agree with you guys about the YA novel being released first in the phase, its strange because the novel can't really have universe-spanning implications without no longer feeling like a YA novel. I'm excited to read the adult and junior novels to see why they wanted the YA novel to introduce the characters for this phase.
Exploring this type of cult is something so unique and interesting, and I am so excited to learn more about The Path. Setting up the conflicts to be inherently political or factional, rather than things like the Drengir, is going to make this phase just spectacular and totally unique in the star wars lore.
I agree with you guy that Marda and The Mother are the most interesting characters in this one, even if Kevmo get sort of a back seat in the story. I thought their character work was phenomenal, and am so excited to see what else Tessa Gratton has to offer the High Republic novels, because her and Justina Ireland really blew me away with this one. I love pretty much all of Ireland's entries into the series tho haha. Agree with Liam that this is probably my favorite of the YA novels so far, but Into the Dark is a close second.
So excited for the rest of phase 2, and to be able to follow along and read with you both!

Yeah, agreed on all points! It doesn't seem so far that the Adult novels will be as expansive as the adult novels in phase 1, and structurally it appears both the Junior Reader and Young Adult novels have a specific naming pattern that could indicate their focuses. It's a really great YA novel, for sure! Thanks for the comments, we'll keep you and everyone posted on how we're tackling Phase II of The High Republic!

Just finished it. Made me mad when Kevmo and Zallah got leveled. What the hell
