Being 👏🏻 organized 👏🏻 doesn’t 👏🏻 mean 👏🏻 you 👏🏻 are 👏🏻 OCD and btw it’s not a blessing. Also OCD isn’t always being clean. It can cause extreme hoarding or it can manifest as compulsions around numbers or Intrusive thoughts. Aka pure OCD.
Also it’s a disorder and not a disease

@@clarag.8877 tbh whenever someone does the whole "lol I'm so OCD!" thing in conversation, I just get really sympathetic and say "Wow, that's really rough isn't it? All the intrusive thoughts, the terrible self esteem, living in fear that something bad will happen. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here okay?" usually they get kinda embarrassed and say "No, I um, I didnt mean it like that..."

PSA: There is a different between OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and OCPD (obsessive-compulsive personality disorder). The symptoms of OCD are intrusive thoughts, low self esteem, compulsive behaviors, etc. OCPD symptoms are not that extreme and pretty much explain why some people are very, VERY organized.
If I got anything wrong, I apologize, this is what I remember from taking AP Psychology this past school year.
OCPD is also more common than OCD, and often results in a “controlling” personality. OCPD affects roughly 3-8% of adults, whereas OCD only affects about 2.3%

@@coryry most of us really only use a couple of sprays, i use toilet cleaner for tolilets and that’s it, and i use all purpose sprays for everything else. these videos are exaggerated for “aesthetics” which i don’t understand either but 🤷🏽♀️
The makeup brush cleaning one hit me. She smashed the brushes into the container which ruins them quicker. Also I remember reading somewhere that vinegar weakens the bristles of the brushes.

I’ve found it does the opposite for me. With bins I can pull out, I use stuff a lot more because I don’t have to reach back into my fridge.

You don't have OCD, you just like to be organized.
I don't personally have OCD but my brother does and he says if he doesn't get certain things right or clean the right way something horrible would happen, like a gut feeling. And I think that is horrible to go through.

Being clean and organised isn't OCD, knowing everything is clean and organised but still going to clean them again because someone else touched them or might have touched them could be OCD not cleaning every month, cleaning monthly is nothing compared to OCD, you want to see OCD at it's worst go watch obsessive compulsive cleaners, you will be disgusted so there's a heads up because it's a show trying to help the people with OCD by making them clean other people's houses who have the opposite issue of hoarding, you get to see the insanity of the people with OCD's houses, overly clean, then you see the hoarders houses
