I’ve flown with Aero Legends at Headcorn several times. I highly recommend them & the location. You are just a few minutes from the White Cliffs, Capel-le-Ferne & Dover. Headcorn is a grass airstrip that was USAF Lashenden during WW2. With no London height limits you can do loops & rolls without restriction. You can get control of the stick for a while & feel just how responsive the Spitfire is. All my life I had looked up at the silhouette of the iconic plane. It’s a privilege to look down on those beautiful elliptical wings from above & to smell and hear the RR Merlin engine. The experience in the Spitfire is the most fun thing you will ever do, but it’s highly emotional and poignant too. The minimum flight time is 30 mins (20mins airborne). If you can possibly afford it, buy a longer flight. It’s all over so quickly. It is very expensive. I’ve saved hard for my flights & have never regretted a single penny. At Headcorn there is also the Lashenden Air Warfare Museum to look round.

If you fancy a ride in the other Battle of Britain aeroplane, Biggin Hill have just acquired a two seat, dual control Hurricane. (Sept 2020)

Not quite sure where to fly from; the Grace Spitfire is gorgeous, Biggin Hill has the heritage; two genuine Spits plus a chance to look around the hangar post flight; the Boultbee spitfires are ideal for coastal flights given their location BUT they only have one original Spit...opinions anyone?!
Personally I would opt for the Boultbee but that's because I live nearby and often seen their Spitfire giving flights at Solent Airport. I would then go to Biggin for a hangar tour on another day.

I’d go to Headcorn every time, for more reasons than there is space to write about here.
