Went to Iceland in August 2014 - the locals were still talking about this film. Brings back lots of good memories as we visited most of the locations shot in Iceland. It is a cold place, even in summer (I dive so I know the ocean temperature is around 4C) but has loads of atmosphere that comes across in Stiller's movie - well done!
Timothy Martin hi. Can you give me the exact time period on when to visit iceland. Its my fantasy land. I want to visit but i need some guide lines first. Thank you.
@@Hannan_1325 there is no exact period called best to visit Iceland. Tourist season starts in May. The summer (well 16-17 degrees) starts in June. There is no snow, all the mountains and waterfalls are spectacular. But, Iceland in winter is beautiful as well. Find @tour.de.foss on facebook. The guys there are really helpful and can give You plenty of information. In fact You will find plenty of info about Iceland on this site already. Good luck and see You in Iceland, it's really worth it.

I was twenty yrs old in Time Inc. Editorial production dept. 330 East Cermak before going to grad school in California early 1970s...just before I left we were shown new big computers few years later was desktop publishing..... I was during Clifford Irving....china ping pong team in Japan..then Nixon Kessinger to China... Watergate... People Magazine Intro..Life mag was only twice monthly... Great people and times... I was offered a full-time job... but I was off to california and grad school....this film reminds me how affected my world outlook....and the rest of my own Life....big world enjoyed it all.

One of my Top 3 movies of all time. So inspiring and beautiful. Went to Iceland last week. This Movie was one of many reasons why I wanted to go there and man - I wasn't dissappointed! Even though some things had changed since the movie was filmed it felt great visiting some of the locations they used.
My favorite movie.
