Hickok: "I don't get to be a sniper very often"
Also Hickok: *Repeatedly hits an oil drum with a 12g smooth bore shotgun at 200 yds*
When hickok45 puts his cap backwards, don't even bother running.
Serpentine will not save you.
Lmao. Not to mention all of the pistol rounds he’s hit that thing with
@@paulaherring2786I think he's on missled with a .25 acp bobcat
Okay, who spilled the beans about the Compound being a retreat for Hooters' waitresses!! I've been able to keep that a secret for two decades, but it's obvious you've gotten wind of it since you admit to thinking about what's going on at the Compound when you're not watching! :-)
Ewww gross

I don’t quite get it; somebody explain?
Hes a pervert bruh.
this guy's a great ambassador for responsible gun ownership. i find watching his videos to be very relaxing for some reason. he should have a tv show or something.
I've been saying for years hickok needs a shooting show. I'd DVR every one!
+Ken Hall he has similarities to bob ross
@@Hawk_R6 Let's put a happy little bullet over here...
Ditto, Ken. :)
Buy a smart tv. You'll never watch you tube on your phone or computer again. RUclips came standard on my Sony. So it's close to having a tv show.
Just a good ole boy putting out wholesome content. No long intro animations, no name brand indorsing, no bravado, no slow-mo side shots.
Just a man and a rifle with raw material.
God bless you sir!
Just trying to be "cool." Actually, the bill of a cap gets in the way when you're using a scope, just as it does in archery.
Nice one hickock 💯👌🔥
Justified yes, cool absolutely mate, you should start wearing them backwards all the time!
Being a semi-auto ,after about the 4th or 5h round , the chamber is getting warm to hot. Thus , when the next round sits in that chamber, the more the brass heated up....Then the powder warms up. Causing the round to hit higher.

Semper Fi....Great Video.
Is there a difference if it is a piston system?
Ryi762
should be atleast a little
Bobby C. Respect for you, sir. I didn't know about that information yet either.
Ryi762 no, the gas system weather it be piston, gas trap, or direct impingement there won't be any difference, why? because the gas system has nothing to do with your chamber, your gas system operates your bolt so it can eject and pick up your cartridge, your chamber holds the cartridge in the barrel along with the bolt or slide
James Frankie He was trying to elaborate on why Hickok might've hit his target higher than intended. Either way it is useful information so I don't see why you're being so immature about it.
Yeah, I notice in looking around at other videos, both RUclips and cable TV, that I'm WAY behind in my stage outfit. :-) While others are looking pretty cool and dangerous in the latest "Operator Fashion," I'm still hanging out in early "Tennessee Woods" gear. :-)
hickok45 keep it that way please. No need for it. Your the man
@@christiangraham4579 You may have noticed this after you wrote but, that comment is 6 years old. The evidence for him "keeping it that way" is kiiiiind of all there on his channel with the massive amounts of great videos he has put up since then.
2:44 "I'll even turn my hat around, like any good sniper would. Plus I just look cool with my hat turned around." The sense of humor is unbeatable!
6' 8" -- Wow, you are tall.
Believe me, he's easy to spot in a crowd!
Yeah, I had to double-take that to insure I heard him say what I thought he said. The videos surely don't show he's that tall.
I wish I lived on this property!
Don’t we all
🤣👏seriously...do they need a groundskeeper!
I wish I lived in America. I’m stuck in Commifornia
I'm pretty sure AR was Armalite's designation for "Armalite Rifle." Yeah, we don't want to give the freedom haters any additional material than they'll already create in their own little emotion-based minds. Every gun to THEM is a "assault weapon." :-)
man looks like you have a epic set up. as far as house property, range. so jealous

hey, you could've lived in the netherlands too. i have tough times here as a gun enthousiast :p
3:40 you can see that 308 flying through the air. Awesome.
Hickok 45 definitely looks like the type of dude who buys all the white new balance sneakers in the shoe store.
@hicock45 .. never thought watching someone firing guns can be a soul soothing experience. You are definitely the Bob Ross of shooting :)
The zombies just keep walking past his compound. They don't dare enter!
Nah, he's hunted and killed zombies on his compound on many occasions.
Go back and watch some of his older videos.
U can easily see the bullet and wake on the first round he fires :
Did anyone else slow down the Speed? You can see the round and the shockwave! Awesome!
I could live with this guy for a week and my life would be complete.
I could spend an hour with this guy and my life would be complete.
I could spend a minute with this guy and my life would be complete
What would you guys do if he asked you to orally satisfy him?
I could spend a second with this guy and my life would be complete.
Has anyone ever told you that you remind them of Burt from the movie Tremors : )
+7.62 WAR DADDY pity Micheal Gross who played Burt is a lowdown stinking anti-gun hoplophobe....
***** I still expect actors to be honorable, this sort of hypocrisy should not be simply glossed over.
Lol i was wondering the same. Watched all the movies.
7.62 WAR DADDY omg he does
Termors would be a very short series if he was that actor.
Every morning I wake up, pour a cup of coffee and watch a video from hickok45
You're not Howard Stern, are you? He said that he does that, as well, in a radio show a couple years ago. We were surprised to hear it.
Same here. It gets me focused not to take any liberal BS during the day.
I absolutely love this rifle.. simply wonderful!!
this grandpa can shoot, nice
I love your humbleness and joking tone. Stay well.
The thing I like about you the most is that you are just a genuine person & a nice guy. I've always enjoyed your videos for a number of reasons, but your enthusiasm and humility is top notch. Thank you.
Beautiful gun. I wish I can buy that same gun someday
When this guy turns his hat backwards your in trouble
Great to see the progress you've made in weight loss. Not saying you weren't always a handsome man either.
I just love when Hickok says "Put my ears on" - no matter how many videos I've watched, that always makes me laugh :D
i love some pot smokin hahah
you being humble and honest is what keeps me coming back, time after time.
That CMC trigger is beautiful . Have them on all my rifles .. And that night force scope is insane
Thats also a mighty fine zoom on the camera by the way
"Has a lot of cool stuff on it."
+lkjh00on89 all the bells and whistles
that vapor trail tho!!!
I also use that Specwar 762 suppressor. All my 5.56, 300 BLK and 308 rifles are fitted with their matching quick release muzzle devices, so I can move the suppressor around from gun to gun. This big device is still among the very quietist of all rifle suppressors, and can be used for both 5,56 or 7.62. What you hear mostly in this video is the supersonic shock wave of the bullet. With subsonic 300 BLK the loudest sound is the cycling of the gun parts. Makes shooting more fun.
trust me,with such completely weapon accessory I can take over one small city
around 3:15, is he saying he is 6 foot 8? am i hearing that correctly?
***** goddamn...
KovenPlays if this was 30-35 years ago, i'd agree w/ you
chewynickerson, Yes.
+KovenPlays he did play basketball. Has a video of shooting a gun and a ball at the same time too.
wow he's a big one
Is this really a "test" for Hickok? I doubt it after watching him hit a desk top from standing position at 230 yards with a smooth bore 12 ga slug gun.
Thats what I was going to say !
@Phil McCrevice the most ignorant, keyboard idiot, comment of all time. Congrats
Caleb Triplett The first part of his comment isn’t ignorant at all. Shooting accurately is not rocket science. But to say it’s as simple as aim shoot adjust repeat, well... Yea that qualifies as pretty damn ignorant. Especially when it comes to shooting targets at 200+ yards. That said, when one has a solid understanding of the fundamentals of shooting accurately and the number of different factors that can contribute to the various reasons for errant rounds, much of shooting does become a function of aim, shoot, adjust repeat. The amount of practice it takes to get to that point is what most can’t appreciate. On a different note, the video captures some really cool shockwaves while he’s shooting.
Why are people so offended these days? Lol
@@Anthony-nv7gd did I tighten your booty hole? Well then no need for a book on something you have no knowledge bout.. I do this for a living kid. Sit down
I was in the Army sniper section for a year and half and loved shooting that rifle, our variant was called the M110, basically same rifle you got there. Ours uses a MK4 Leupold scope
How expensive is the scope? May I know where to buy one?
+Lee Harvey Oswald the only thing huh? That’s interesting
Hickock, you are all the best parts of every teacher I ever loved all put into one tall Tennessean.
This man is the Bob Ross of guns
That is one bad gun. I'm new to the "AR" scene. In the process of building my first AR-15. I'm actually new to guns in general. Never had a problem with them, just never saw a reason to have one, until recently with all this "ISIS" talk. I'm learning as I go, and learned about this gun a few nights ago. It will be my next build.
As a total gun newb, it really surprises me how visible the bullet is.
where? I couldn't see any of them
@@huracan200173 A blast from the past; five years down the line. Maybe it was just the shockwave I saw back then.
WOW, what a great firearm. Loved the vapor trails. Love to see more rifles like these.
After having watched your Mosin PU sniper review, you have reaffirmed my faith in humanity.
I understand the comparison from rifle to rifle is unfair, but it is a testament to your abilities. This is a very 'set up' rifle, the best today's technology can create. In the hands of one such as you it is incredible, excellent shooting and have to assume your point of aim was dead on with this one.
i love how i feel like im sitting there talking to him when hes giving his input! Very interactive!
Hickok is 6'8
I'm rather envious of you sir. Always professional, good attitude and better videos. Nice son to film and enjoy time with you. A great range to shoot at, your own backyard. Doesn't get much better does it. Life most certainly is good for you sir. Thanks for the work you do
I never realized your range was right next to your house. Thug Life (theme music here)
sixtwoishere he's only mentioned being in his back yard .like every other video lol . He makes these videos with about 2% of the purpose dedicated to making every other dude jealous . Range in the back yard and front . So damn jelly
Hickock is the real SWAT COMMANDER
The words assault rifle should never be spoken. I hate writing them. Don't give them a reason to hate.I sell firearms for a living and correct folks all day. Thanks, hickok45, for clearing that up again. Thanks for the great videos!
"When a man with a pistol meets a man with a rifle, the man with a pistol is a dead man."
+Mitchell Mitchell A fistful of dollars? Awesome quote!!
Richie Peterson yes sir
"When a man with a pistol meets a man with a rifle, they shake hands." german version
"When a man with a pistol meets a man with a rifle, they exchange boring facts about the price of things these days and discuss the weather for 15 minutes before settling into an awkward silence and focusing their attention on shooting very small groups on paper" -- British version of that adage.
+anonymous2513456 clearly, you've never seen the movie from which I'm quoting.
dude you're 6'8"?? Wow
Enjoy your efforts very much.
Aces in my book
you know that when your watching Hickok45 and the video has 223 thousand views, its going to be a good day B-)
"let me turn my hat around... like any good sniper would!" haha! hickok45 is an awesome guy... wish he was my grandpa.
My friend has one of these, loads his own rounds to make it affordable, it is absolutely my favorite rifle I have shot in my life. Nice round, nice and quiet, zero kick. Its a Rolls Royce of firearms no doubt. Need to get one.
I need to move out of California and have some real fun lol
He lives in Tennessee not to far from me!
id like to come see your range someday, would be a super good experience. im new to firearms and your help sure is awesome!
"I was probably hitting too low, or too high. If not that then either left or right"
When you miss... It reminds me of being 8 years old and my dad letting me win at pool... Good shootin'. Love your videos.
The AR10 is 7.62? Wow. My universe just got shattered. And all this time i thought it was 5.56. Hickok45 teaches me something new everyday.
"Idk what else to tell you I'd have to make it up" lol
That rifle has some punch. Nice.
Nice shooting Hickok! That is a great gun....pretty darn quiet too.
When a gun looks like that they are usually spot on .
I love that sound in the morning. .......reminds me of VICTORY. ;-)
Jesus! I'm in love with that gun!
Hickok, your the man :) Great vid as always :)
You could really tell how slow the speed of sound is compared to that .308.
+MLGesus actually since it's suppressed I believe the speed is the same
+Mocky Speed of sound varies based on a lot of factors (medium, temperature, etc), but is usually around 1100fps at sea level. That .308 is travelling at about 2700 fps, so more than double the speed of sound.
I think MLGesus was talking about the delay between when visual confirmation of the round striking occurs and when the sound finally travels back to the recorder. Kind of like watching fireworks and having the boom "lag" behind.
He wasn't using subsonic ammunition. The silencer kept the noise down for him but the bullet was still sound-barrier-snapping loud.
Thats called a Freedom Rifle, as are all others in our country's great time of need. Lots of good spirit on here, with people asking questions and others helping them get some answers. Really no question about firearms is to small or insignificant.
Before watching Hickok45's videos I knew nothing of guns, now I've learned much about them that may purchase one to shoot at a range.
lol. Too low or too high, or too far left or right. I'd say you narrowed it down.
Bracketing, it's not just for artillery!
that thing hits like a tone of bricks i love it
Yeah - mid video you can actually see the flat-flying round smack the hell out of that iron target and it hits with some serious force.
Gotta get one
Ryan CHRISTOPHER That is exactly why I came watch hickock45 shoot this rifle - even if it is a short range shoot with a custom rig - I am not partial to the AR-15 because the round it fires is not versatile and the .223 is illegal for deer and other types of game in many areas of the country. This AR10 is overkill for home-defense but would serve as a last line of defense and is suitable for hunting and the round is a great round - all around. I really, really like the AR10.
i understand what ur saying but i do like the ar15 and the ar10 however the home defense u talk about i think its perfict for home defense if the goverment is knocking on ur door
Ryan CHRISTOPHER Of course, haha, in a SHTF scenario this would be a go-to gun. I meant in a typical intruder scenario that this would be overkill and have serious potential for overpenetration. I also like the AR15 - I was just stating that the round it fires (.223/5.56) was developed to "maim" on the battlefield because more resources are expended by the enemy to save a maimed person rather than an eliminated target. The AR10 with .308 is perhaps the best all-around choice for a centerfire rifle. I think with an AR10, 12guage, a 22LR and a 45ACP or 9mm pistol a person would pretty much have the basic spectrum of uses covered. I don't think shots past 1000 yds are necessary - if so, you are in serious trouble and get a .338 lapua, haha.
I would just like to say I love these videos but I would also like to know some specs on this AR10. I am currently looking into building something like this, may not be exact since suppressors are not legal in Iowa, but something close. We are in the middle of trying to get suppressors legalized so fingers crossed.=)
I have watched videos where Hickok45 hit those 200 yard targets with a 1911 and or with Foster slugs, I am not going to be surprised if he nails everything on his range with that rifle.
Your a cool fella Hickok45
. That vapor trail and seeing the POI before the sound registered was gr8.
Muy buen video, me gustaría que sus videos estuvieran subtitulados por lo menos!
🔫👌 Saludos de🇲🇽
You have a lovely house and yard. Love the American flag : )
That's Actually classified as "marksman",just clarifying it
First day at the range with my Rock River Arms AR-10 I was hitting targets at 700-800 yards no problem. Hit after hit. Love that platform
Hickok with a backwards hat firing a scope mounted AR-10 ? There's something ya don't see every day ! Awesome ! That's a sweet AR .
If I had to pick one rifle, just one, it would definitely be this ar-10.
Is shooting as easy as it looks? I'm from the UK so I've never shot a gun - but would like to eventually just to see how it is.
Muffin Shooting a gun is as simple as pulling the trigger. Actually hitting things, that's more challenging.
Muffin even if you're from the UK (like I am), you can still shoot guns if you want to. there are small bore rifle clubs that you can go to if you want to give it a try.
No, the RUclips gun channels have good shooters that make it look easy the same way an artist makes drawing look easy. It takes lots of practice to get as good as they are. It's always fun though!
Yes and no. It depends on a couple variables, such as what you're shooting, if the sights are zeroed in, the range in which you are from your target, etc. Its still not easy but imo, its not hard to progress quickly for the most part. But, just like anything, some people take to it quicker and its all about practice, etc.
rifles at short range are relatively easy provided your equipment is set properly. pistols take a lot longer for most people get get properly
Hey hickok45 are you sweating or is that a new type of camo shirt ??
Love the videos since your page started. I’ve bought quite a few guns from your reviews. Love your humbleness. You can out shoot 99.9% of us, so give yourself some credit once in a while.
When he's not resting the barrel against a tree like he did with the Remington 700, he's a pretty decent shot.
Very cool AR-10. Now on to some AR-10 vs AR-15 debate! haha, just kidding folks. Thanks a ton for the vid.
That is a very nice house
I think you would survive a zombie apocalypse :P
I know i'm not Hickok, but he did recommend buying a .357 Magnum revolver as a 'first' revolver. Something in a size of a S&W K-frame (Model 13, Model 19, Model 65, Model 66 etc.). You can shoot low-powered .38 Special in it instead of .357 Magnum as a break-in. The first gun I've ever shot was a S&W 67-1 .38 Special revolver, a K-frame, weighs nicely, shoots nicely and recoils nicely. Able to produce groups for a first time shooter that amazed the range owners .
Always a good time when Hickok had his hat backwards!
life is good.. for now... arm up....
semi auto hunting just became legal in my state PA gonna get my first Ar now I can't decide between 5.56/223 or .308...
Bryson Wilkinson depends on what you want to hunt I got one in 5.56/.223 game commission hasn't decided if we can use an AR platform for big game hunting
5.56 is enough for most deer hunting, .308 is if you wanna take a step up and go like elk or moose hunting. Yah know, the bigger game.
Bryson Wilkinson check your states regulations before you make your final decision. In VA it is legal to hunt with a semi auto weapon but unlawful to use anything under .23 caliber therefore making 5.56/.223 illegal. Just a thought.
Bryson Wilkinson I had the same dilemma...So I bought both!!
Isn't .223 Really .224 Caliber.?>>>>>>>Bullet diameter: 5.70 mm (0.224 in)
Did he say he's 6'8"? Does anyone know if that's true?
He was joking..
Just look at his hands compared to that ar 10. And him compared to the barrel.
sliptirka its true
sliptirka you must be new to the channel 😹 how do you not know this lol
Oh and his bald eagle... or should I say condor... of a son is 6'10"!
To me the ar10 is the ideal battle rifle. Suppressed is a dream catcher.
Killing me with hickock!! Lord have mercy
You've got a nice house. I pity the thug who thinks it looks nice enough to burglarize.
if you like AK-47's better than this, then your not american .
Ak is the best
well opinions are like buttholes, everyones got one
There's just something nostalgic about owning a rifle that existed before the U.S.
existed before the U.S. what
roblox84 ??? I didnt realize that the USA has only existed since 1947
That .308 hits with AUTHORITY.
I love seeing older people enjoy making youtube videos people like zip star, I love it!
Now I want a suppressor. Man that is music to the ears unlike the cannon blasts most of us have to deal with.
