Gonna see SOTS next month again and I am so so ready to hear this song live !! Signs is one of my favorite live bands, they really get the room hyped:)
The other language idea is great. I am learning/decent in Korean and Korean's vowel shapes are almost all pure and forward. Learning it has helped me come up with fun vocal ideas.
Thanks so much for the love, man, I remember doing the HIGHEST HIGH I've ever done in my black metal project and I'm not sure I'll ever do it again. haha Check it out if you want: neverbreath.bandcamp.com/track/through-desecration-my-temple-is-immortal
@@pillager278 yes!!! I've been a fan of vocalists with screams like these! There's also Kyo from Dir en Grey though hes too old now to do whistle screams xD
I do a lot of the same as david does. But less "compression" as its comfortable for me and more to my taste. Though i can achieve a lot or most of the same feel that david delivers ,of course with my own voice and colour. But that aaaauuurrrrwaaaaah section. From low mid to high, i absolutely love doing. Its so much fun. Love doing it on stage and seeing people be like "wtf is that😮" 😂 I tend not to get too into the vocal Olympic stuff live. As sometimes it doesnt translate live 🤷♂️ but for added emphasis its great. David is great, and so are your breakdowns as always, cheers
Hey dude, are you able to make a separate video on arytenoid screaming? Or do you have a video? I feel like i kinda know how but I cant figure out how to isolate the sound in a healthy way
Super jammable track. Dave is such a next level vocalist and SotS has been nothing but top tier since he signed up and they get better with every track they release. CJ was a great vocalist, but Dave is something else entirely.
The problem I have with deathcore, personally is that.. well the 'acrobatics' is such a feature of the genre that it kind of means that everyone does it. 8 different screams in 30 seconds, etc...
Why is that a problem tho? Read this several times and always from people who aren't really listening to the genre. It drives the need for perfectioning vocal techniques. A lot of people like this
@@pillager278 separate convo, and it’s my preference. Lots of people don’t like how it looks and other in the scene as well, simply think it cheapens the performance
@@pillager278 some people think it's "cheating", people also said the same about inhales back in the day. It really doesn't matter. The only downside really is depending on the microphone/equipment you're using live you might end up getting crazy feedback and pissing off everyone, mostly the sound guy

Thanks for the analysis and kind words. You rule! Was hoping you'd catch this, so we're stoked!
Absolutely, dude! Killer performance as always! Thanks for watching!
David, your vocals are insane. I want to know how you get so much texture! It sounds like you eat a peanut butter sandwich before you do your vocals 😂
Thanks for the love homie! Sending my best!
For you, anytime, duder! 💗
After their Last album I am hooked...this new song keeps that direction and I love IT.
This sounds better than the release. This is going to be so fucking good live.
Based on the sets I've seen, they're playing the entire Amongst album live and dropping the new song at the end.
It is. I saw them play it last month in Pittsburgh right after the song came out. Signs is amazing live.
I've seen them many times live. He sounds so fucking gross.
The other guy screaming is their guitarist/backing vocalist Carl Schulz.
@@REMHTC He sounds a lot like the vocalist from Kublai Khan TX. At least in his brief parts here
David was an absolute monster in Improvidence. One of my favs and super unique when it comes to gutturals.

You should do the Whitechapel one take

I will never be able to get over the utter delectable FILTH that is Mark's high screams. Just mesmerizing perfection for my ears to listen to

There's another vocalist whose lows and mediums are similar to David, his name is Patrick Guilamore or something from Beyond Deviation!
@@ZuriaX666 his whistle tones are incredible, same with Fred Nylist

Metal, Magic the Gathering AND Star Ocean. You might just be my spirit animal 🙌
Mark: “I’m just a sad boy! :D”
I am!
SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!! DAMN
Dave is a fucking beast ❤
I'm a Dane but that was the best pronunciation of "Ø" from a non-Danish speaker I've ever heard 12:55
aw HELL YEAH! I can't take all the credit though I've got a danish student who has helped out a bit haha
@@KardavoxAcademy It's paid off!
David has some of the nastiest, most "textured" lows in the game!! The epitome of "sounding like a toilet".
Agreed!
16:23 when you said a wet floppy sound it sounded worse than the first statement 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
His vocals are so addicting
all that phlegm really works on getting cool vocals
Great analysis! (Also, the current thumbnail has a few too many W's.. Signs of the Swwarm)

For the "Ø" phonation (beer in scandinavian), go Sylvester Stallone like Harvey does it in Suits. EUUUU
Phil did a one take vocal of a virseral retch
Should do a video on DEVILOOF - 拷訊惨獄(Official Live Video)
Agreed!
There's new Infant Annihilator, too!
The backup vocals is their guitarist Carl 🤘🖤
and he should be proud!
You should definitely do an analysis of the new MOLOTOV SOLUTION song- Devour the Children, full vocal playthrough.
Please do the vocal one take of A Visceral Retch
A rogue mustache appears!
You gotta check out zelli from palefaces new vocal one take he annihilated it
Is it my imagination, or is there some kind of stuttery/synthetic effect around Dave's voice at times? (Sort of a 'screaming into a box fan' sound.)
Is that the guy from kublai khan tx?
probably not.
very emmure/darko-esque
I wish people would drop the "one take live". If the artist couldn't do it live with one take then their concerts would be utter rubbish.
Kardivox rants pretty please good sir!
Uvula flap imho not tongue roll on the crazy highs
More thumb than spy kids
Uvular clicking.
something dirty in the comments
