Judging Eurovision performances from 20 second snippets is a crime
Probably ESC posted those 48 second clips with a Peacock logo in it for the Reactors to see.

Majority of young people get informed about much more important topics from tiktok or youtube short.
They are shown the full performances but their reactions are edited for time.

Most countries are more than happy if they end up on the left side of the score board.
Most countries are happy if they qualify for finals, these people are totally oblivious to Eurovision concept

I guess they did it due to controversy. Explaining all that happened with the NL act, facts and rumors etc, which is obvious to Europeans would take a whole episode when done to someone with no or little knowledge of the whole thing 😅

How can you possibly judge and rank fairly without watching the ten performances IN FULL beforehand? This was insulting.

It's sad that a successful RUclips company doesn't have the time to play 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds. But maybe that's why it's so successful.
Apparently that's enough for normal viewers. But at Eurovision, the entire 3 minutes are planned down to the smallest detail and that's what you should watch.
Probably since React is from the US. They only see the 40 second snips available on RUclips.
Yeah especially Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and even Armenia would have been appreciated much more with the whole performance. And don‘t think it makes sense to them to try to guess the order of the top 10 since they probably don‘t even know how the scoring works with jurys and public

Every year y'all make this video and every year y'all screw it up by not showing them the whole performances, not even showing them the best parts of perfomances, and not explaining BASIC information (ie that anything top 10 is really good coz theres like 26 countries in the final)
The fact that half of the background flags do not participate in Eurovision is killing me
I don't understand why the full performance couldn't be shown off screen and just shortened for RUclips.. doesn't feel like it encapsulates the full performances to be able to rate them
Switzerland and Ireland are the ones suffering it more, as they change so much

what's always a bit missleading in these react-videos is that there are more than 10 competing countries. Portugal didn't come "last", it came 10th out of 23, not even counting the semi-final drop-outs

Here's an idea, show these people the full performances and let their reactions decide which parts you put in the video. Rather than takling some of the worst parts of all these songs because you guys dont understand it. Maybe?
If you are doing reactions, you need to do the artists justice and watch the entire song, not just bits...

I'm from Belgium, it was also one of my favourites (instant smile, only happiness, some identity, like Moldova in 2022).
At least this Eurovision video was more open minded than last years, they actually got some people who appreciated a wide range of music

Agree. This is the worst edited video of Reacts to Eurovision that I have seen so far.... many great moments missed this year..and I miss the background information that was given to the reacters in previous years...
I hope people watching this who didn't watch Eurovision this year realize that Irelands song ends with Bambie screaming on top of shredding guitars while torturing that demon dancer! :D

Im sorry but the short clips chosen could've been so much better, like i get they only have 20 second-ish for each song, but those 20 seconds for portugal or ireland could've been like i said, in a much impactfull part of the song

It may have been a controversial Eurovision but my god was it stacked with talent this year. Musically one of the my favourite years so far.

It's already edited and shortened. Why show them just highlight and not the whole song? How are they supposed to be able to accurately guess if they don't see the whole performance?

@@nicholasr3481 One of them said in the beginning that they only watch a short bit of the video.
Probably ‘cause they’d have to record so much with all the duos. And edit it all down this short. Now it’s 10 songs about 30 sec (=5 min) instead of 10 songs 3 min (=30 min). Plus their commentary and scoring.
@@onomatopoetisk it seems like they did it to save budget, couldn't afford it or being lazy. Longer the songs are, the more footage they have to work with when editing and the react people would have better understanding when casting their votes. Maybe I'm just overthinking.
What truly makes me laugh everytime it's the fact that to guess the right rankings you have to know the juries taste the public taste and you have to really understand the world of Eurovision which is not the case here so no wonder they can't guess it right
Even the fans suck at this. They vastly overestimated Finland, Austria and the UK. And Luxemburg and Germany scored way better than expected.

It's a pity not to watch the full performances (while, of course, editing this video for RUclips viewers' consumption). They're all only three minutes long and some are better understood when viewed in full, such as Ireland's, for example. Oh well!

The current methodology makes no sense, because how can they rank before they've seen everything. Give them 10 movable labels/magnets and let them rank them relative to each other as they go along.
See all the performance of Portugal. For me the best ones Portugal and France.

Too long unless you're Alexandrumic. Engagement typically declines over the course of a long video so you have to keep people to tune in so keeping it short and sweet when showing reactions of half a dozen people in a single video is the ideal route to go.

Not to mention that even though they had (imo) the best moments of Switzerland and Croatia (high note and dance respectively), the reactions would still be different from hearing Nemo’s rap or Croatia’s verses. And that’s not even getting started on Bambie Thug’s scream or Iolanda’s high note

These people never realise there is more than ten acts competing. Getting in the top 10 altogether is a great result. Heck, even top 15 is good and getting to the grand final in general is decent enough.

You should have taken longer clips as those parts don't reflect the overall vibe of each song especially for Ireland jesus. Americans stay away from Eurovision for the sake of the beauty of the contest

They tried doing an American Song Contest. It lasted one year and was a total flop. I listened to some of the songs and they just don't get Eurovision enough to do it justice. Eurovision is so unique in what songs are being made. There's variety in all genres, but still so very Eurovision!

Judging songs on these clips is a crime. Im pretty sure thats the reason Nemo didn´t perform on these reactors lists as well..
Showing these short clips is not really representative for some of the performances. Ireland was just wild. And as someone who's grown up with Eurovision, I never expected them to be in the top ten. Also Americans, this is a singing competition, not a most outragous performance one. Portugal and France's vocal performances were fantastic. But overall this year was a bit meh in my opinion.
Heeey... the host and the public sang very nicely. And the former winner guests too. Also don't care much for the newer tradition of bring Hollywood celebs just because they have origins in the host country, but are otherwise Americans. They look awkward and out of place.
This is not actually a singing competition, but a SONG competition. Different things 🤷🏼♀️ Obviously singing skills matter and a lot appreciate them but the whole set (singing, song and performance) matter and is meant to matter! The juries usually focus on the singing skills and how difficult the performance is yes, but we still have the public vote too.

This wasn't really great, ended up skipping through most of the video because the reactors were just giving "eh" energy about this whole thing. Not to mention the fact they barely had content to react to as the songs don't really do great when you cherry pick edit them. If you were going to cut performances down so much I'd say you'd have been better off doing all of the entries in the final.

Seriously you could've made a bigger effort. The show takes place once a year, not showing full performances is ridiculous and makes them unable to value the songs/efforts properly. Many of those clips don't do the performances justice.
Disappointed in this video and I've been waiting a lot for it. Sad.

Somehow it's refreshing to see a video of ESC where the people are not fully involved/know of all the politics that were a big part of it this year. Don't get me wrong. I have a lot of popinons about it, but this is makes it some how more innocent.

Such a disappointing video. You're taking my view and making money out of it for THIS? Not even respecting your audience enough to give us a good reaction of the FULL SONGS. Coming from someone who is waiting for this video every year, DO BETTER, this is just sad and pathetic, didn't enjoy at all
why do you show only a few seconds? you can show the whole performance to them and then keep the best parts in the edit. this way they can rank the songs by actually knowing them

The best European artists have never applied to Eurovision, or competed for a spot.
I don't think they have the best artists. They have the most advertised ones, since most of pop culture comes from there because of the insane amounts of money invested and involved. Popularity doesn't mean quality
