I’ve created the aggregate device just like in the tutorial but detail will not display it as an option in the audio drop-down. Any idea what I may be doing wrong? 🙏🏻

I am having a serious problem with mic gain. Every time I create an aggregate mic set up on my Macbook pro with two USB mics, one mic will always have a much stronger gain, even if the mics are identical. It happens very clearly when I use Garage Band, but I can clearly see it when watching the signal strength in system settings. To match the input gains of the mics I need to make a very significantly setting reduction. Any ideas as to why this is happening and how to correct it?

This method isn’t working for me. I am using 2 identical usb mics and I can only utilize one mic at a time. They both work well independently but when connected to the computer, I can only see one mic. I tried using a Pierre hub and still nothing.

This is a great explanation and I followed it exactly. However when I open detail and select my aggregate device it is still only picking up one of my mics 😢 I am using 2 of the same mics that are brand new Samson Q2U USB mics. I really like this app and hope I can get it to work! My husband and I are starting a video podcast and both want separate mics recording onto same Mac desktop

What usb hub do you use?

We use OWC Thunderbolt hubs, with external power supply. We also tested with other fast, powered USB hubs. In general, most work well (if they have external power supply) as long as you don’t connect more than 2 camera’s to a single hub.
