There is a hard to spot clue about what would have happened at 1:41, right after the other slugpups food bar turn gray Legs exits the pipe with his eyes closed, which means he was tired, but why was he tired? (Probably because he just killed his siblings lol) Since all the slugpups were starving, they can get tired by jumping too much, and the last moment they were seen in the shelter they did some hops (1:13). So i think the slugpups kept hopping and at some point the shelter unloaded and maybe their velocity kept amplifying every time they hop until it was so huge they died from colliding with floor/ceiling (probably floor since if it was ceiling Legs probably would've died too). Legs was in the middle so he would get pushed into the pipe instead (which could explain why he was leaving the shelter occasionally).
If you look back at 1:00, all three slugpups has full food bars at 3 each, and when you completely fill your food bar the starvation stops, your color comes back, and you can jump around without being exausted.
@@ceithless That might not be true for slugpups, and you would need another reason for why they were tired if it is true. The only other thing that could cause that is taking less than 1 damage (otherwise they would die) and there aren't any things around that could deal damage without killing the slugpups (for example lilypucks).
ive never seen slug pups die randomly in a shelter. do you think the only reason one pup lived is because it was the one to keep popping in and out of the shelter?
My pup’s also died when I made then stay at the shelter so, Maybe there’s a bug that if you let your pup’s at the shelter for enought time they just die.
Indeed, I point it out in the video as well If anything, it just makes everything more confusing - knowing *when* they died still doesn't tell us *how* they died.
@@Sigmanins i saw another comment that said that since the slugpups were jumping when you left the shelter and unloaded it the force of the jumps kept going up until they died of fall damage. also the reason one of them didnt die is because he was in the pipe, and is also why he kept exiting the shelter.
I believe the shelter closed or thought it needed to close. Legs survived because he was in the pipe and it pushed him out. When you see the food bar you can see him coming out. It might of been a rock like someone said because the object to the right is a brick/rock and it looked like it was moved. 🤔
If "spears hit" was off I'm really confused to how that pup killed the others. More likely something dangerous got into the shelter. Maybe a centipede.
I don't think there was any rocks in the shelter and the pup shouldn't even be trying to attack the others And yeah, like you said, rocks basically do no damage so there wouldn't be any time for Legs to kill them both with rocks
@@Sigmanins someone did a slugpup battle royale and one of they was really agressive throwing rocks at alive and dead slug pups soo maybe he grabbed a rock when you werent looking and headshots deal increased damage plus their low hp
I was curious so I did an experiment, I started a new game, spawned three slugpups and saved in the first shelter of Outskirts, so no predator could get them. - Asking slugpups to stay in the shelter, then leave: After a while slugpups disappear. I tried with three slugpups and they disappeared. I tried with two slugpups and one of them went into the backrooms. (appeared in the map below the shelter, was moving for a while then died) - Asking slugpups to stay in the shelter, but with jolly coop on, one slugcat leave and the other stay : They all stayed "calm". - Asking slugpups to stay in the room just outside that shelter: They moved on or two rooms away, but they were fine. So I guess shelters are bugged with slugpups.
I think that they were jumping around and their collision glitched out. Or,, I’ve seen two slugpups grab a rock and they clipped together and then they died from velocity due to glitching around, but that’s really all I can think of 🥲

Maybe it's a bug. My pup also died every time I kept him in the shelter. He just evaporated! (Sorry for mistakes, I know English bad)

Install mouse drag. You can right click them and revive them. It is cheating, but it is also annoying when this happens
Revivify also works and it's more interesting and feels less like cheating
