    These are great videos of Baltimore's light rail. Thanks for doing them. It would be nice to have some shots of the airport area in a future video.

      Yea they are. Do u know what their max speeds are? I saw the one on the new cars and they seem to go up to 60 mph. What about the old ones?

    Urbanrailer here! I just love subways, light rail, commuter railroads, buses and trolleys! Light rails seems to be the urban transportation of the future; it's very adaptable to cities of all sizes! Congratulations to Baltimore on their new 'baby'!

      This was built in the 90s and aside from double tracking projects in the early 2000s hasn't been expanded since. :/

      JG-77 Because of businesses and residents fight the city and state from expanding the system. I’m a light rail operator for Mta.

      The new refurbished cars are horrible the are down more than they work. I hope that they don’t finish the complete refurbished car project until I retire in 2029. I’ll have 30 years of service than I prefer the old LRV they have there problem but at least they can get the job done unlike the overhauled cars.

    Wished they had built the light rail before I graduated from Poly. Getting from Mt Royal to Cold Spring Lane is a lot faster on the light rail.

    Nice to see they have that platform so that the elderly and differently abled can use it too. I'm guessing all stations have that?

      Yes all stations have a high block to load wheel chairs and people with disabilities. I’m a Light Rail Operator with 21 years of service.

    Hopefully when it warms up. You could do a bus and light rail for 2021 when it's spring time.

    Can it be upgraded to heavy rail getting rid of the crossings? This is first video I've seen of the line.

    I wish they would expand this system but the stupid governor axed it.

    • @Antilleotheclown
      @Antilleotheclown 4 года назад

      The problem is the residents and the business that are in the area where the expansion would meet to take place they fight the state to keep the central light rail system from expending. That was what I was told by my instructors which have been at light rail from day one when it opened. several years ago when I became a light rail operator.

      You keep voting for Republican governors, should be no surprise you get nothing in return.

      That's a streetcar from the Baltimore streetcar museum, so probably at least 60-70 years old if not more.
