Great story! My son is MARSOC Staff SGT. Joe Lally stationed at Camp Lejune teaching one of the phases for incoming MARSOC candidates. He has a purple heart and a Marine commendation medal with a V device . He told me * Dad I don't know why they gave this to me for this particular operation we did way hairier shit than that days operation" ! Maybe you know him. I see the paddles behind you he spends a lot of time making them to give out its a little hobby of his I think. He gave me a MARSOC patch to wear on my Motorcycle jacket and tole me if I run into any raiders I can buy them a drink! I ran into some at Daytona Bike week and did just that.
We only took a picture for post-mission intel products. The photos stayed on a hard drive in theater (AFG.) and that’s it. This wasn’t a “buckshot” type photo, this was a “this might be the only time we can get a photo of this bad guy for intel purposes before we’re repelled by enemy machine gun fire” situation. Thank you for watching and commenting! Have a good one!
@@peteperry6105 Hey I'm a 2631 going through the RRP program and I'm tryna set myself up to go to A&S as soon as I am eligible to put a packet in. I am hungry to hear more about MARSOC. I wanna know more about what they do. It seems so badass and the mystery adds to it. But I wanna know what I'm getting into
@@Monkemodenigga You should contact the MARSOC recruiters to get the most up to date information. I’ve been out since 2015 and a lot of things may have changed. I will say if you want an exciting career, MARSOC is the only place in the Marine Corps where you may might find it.
That’s an intense story. Can’t wait to watch the full episode.
This whole episode was excellent! I love the vigor in his storytelling. Really puts you there!
Semper Fidelis Marine!

I would do your son a favor and NOT post his information or occupation in public, sir. That's very important.
I’m surprised he mentioned wanting to take a picture next to his dead body after all the shit Eddie Gallagher just went thru lol

You said you shot him in the face until he looked like hamburger meat. Not to mention right before this happened you took a selfie lol
