Maya, adding joints to Quick Rig for skinning

    When I add the new joints they are not connected to the original skeleton so when I press skin they don't affect anything. I tried parenting it to the rest of the skeleton but that doesn't seem to work either. Any ideas? Thanks so much for the video btw.

      Select the joints the Skin - edit influence - add influence - lock weights turn off
