You have to remember (in the chorus) that Paul and George can't hear what John is singing because of the racket from the audience. Without modern soundback equipment, how they kept in tune at all is incredible.
This concert was broadcast "Closed Circuit" to theaters in the U.S. Watched it from California and saw then at the Hollywood Bowl in 1964. I was just a 12 year old star struck Beatles fan. Still am!
I dont know how Ringo played on that freakin thing, it looks like it was gonna tip over any second. It must have been like playing on top of a coffee table

Hi, I am part of the BEATLES 64 movie streaming on DISNEY+. I am the only one who had color 8mm silent footage. I am also seen running alongside the Beatles limo at the 46 minute mark, shot by the Maysles brothers. My color contributions are: 1. The color footage of the crowd outside the Plaza hotel. 2. The color footage scene of the girls holding placards. 3. The brief color scene of Paul in the limo on the way to the Ed Sullivan studios. 4. My name JOE SHEROV is in the credits, On the upper hand side of the screen at the last 20 seconds of the movie. I was only 17 years old when all this wonderful history transpired. Hope you all enjoy this wonderful piece of history.
Hi Joe, GenXer here. I grew up on 70s music and I know it owes a lot to the Beatles. That having been said, I admit it's hard to truly appreciate what you all were feeling in that time because my generation (and Y and Z) were used to their sound, and the acts they influenced. I mean by the time I grew ears in the late 70s, so much had already changed in music. But your ears were the first to tune into something you had never heard before, even bigger than Elvis, yes? I mean I look at this performance and Shea Stadium, and just, wow! I could easily do an AI search on why The Beatles were so huge, but I'd like to hear it from those were actually there to be living through that.
3:21 The young teen girl (I Love Beetles? button pin) has been in the presence of a living-breathing moment in music history; that moment continues to bring pure and utter joy to the human soul today; we’re enraptured (just like her) by the sight and sound of live rock n’ roll, performed courtesy by The Beatles.
The unluckiest people then were the police. They describe their memories like this: "I had the luck of listening the Beatles live, but I couldn't see them because I was turned to the audience".
BULLSHITT!... you couldn't hear them with 50 watt amps and no mics on the drums,in front of 10,000 screaming girls ,this was an audio feed from the source
Notice all the jelly beans that are lying on the floor of the podium. Thrown there by the fans. One of them hit George Harrison right in the face. Poor guy! I'm sure it hurt.
During the introduction Lennon’s hand clapping and banging of his right foot imitating disabled people who were medically labelled as being spastic then, always makes me mad!

This is the first hard rock.
Amazing performance!

Its occuring to me now for the first time, everyone of these headbanging teens works for cbs

Paul did an extended version of this with Bruce Springsteen in Hyde Park. Well worth viewing.

Strange how Paul and George are singing the wrong reply vocal lines on the first verse. Maybe John sang the wrong words?
You're right, Mr. Hurd and you can see George and Paul get a little tickled and looks at each other. Gosh, it didn't matter a bit though, did it?!
noticed that too
maybe they messed up the lyrics for fun..?
Very Low Touring Budget. Ringo had to take a break every other song to step off his Platform as he had to Turn it 90 degrees.
That’s the bass that was stolen and recently recovered!
wrong, that's his 2nd bass, the 1st one has it's pickups close to each other
@@fsolisiii You obviously know your stuff. 😉
Amateurs.. 😒
No its not. The 1961 model had the puckups close together
No, it's not
At this point, the chix didn’t know how to scream and literally let their hair down. In one more year, they would!!
What was Lennon doing at 0:17? Was he mocking a slow person?
Shure.
The fuckin girls screaming at isely brothers 😂 see? They were real rock n roll fans

The feed going into the TV broadcast
Who made the drum platform for Richie? Looks like betty crocker.
Johnny making fun of tads

Not like the Orange one
So nice to see the real Paul preform without looking at his bass.
Ava
Watch i want to hold your hand from this same concert, he looks at his bass quite a few times.
None of them really had to look at their instruments.
Every musician looks at there instrument once in awhile. There is plenty of videos of Paul looking at his bass before 1966.
At 3:01 and 3:20 Paul looks at his bass
アンプも横向いてるし、かえりのモニターも無くて良く演奏しているなあー😂
You're absolutely right, sir! A tough place to play.
Synergy on steroids!
There waszu..
Bleeding ORGY afta...everyyy..geeeg...😂😂
I have been censored. Do you think the Beatles would like Trump@!!!!?
Oh hell no- Paul cannot stand King Bunker Boy
John again showing disdain for those who helped make him rich and 'free'.
