I owned a Kingham for 18 months. Firstly the bed is tiny, not really big enough for 2 adults for more than a few nights. Plus the corner is cut off so even if ur just over 5ft ur legs hang out. The access to the under bed storage from the rear doors is frankly pathetic. And if uve got bedding and maybe something else on the bed its really hard to lift. The lpg tank is hopeless if ur off EHU in the winter. Gas will last about a week and then u can't get it anywhere. Build quality is average. German vans are way better. Its an ok van for 1. Or 2 for short trips in Nice weather. Its very cramped inside. These reviews are pointless if the reviewer hasn't used the van in real world conditions
Oh dear, no appearance from Jacques or Maggie...are they both too bagged out from all that time on the bow of the Y85? LOL Don't tell me that Maggie and Jacques get car sick? 😜😜😜😂😂😂 This is a slick looking and packaged little RV...looks very comfy indeed.
I could live in this thing, if I had no wife and kids... 😂 Great class B for a long weekend. Or 6 months. Amazing layout for the size, really impressive. Cheers!
I,m under the impression the cheaper vehicles ARE the best..........this one IS compact but has "everything"................and has great features ALL a person should want........x x x x
Another great video Nick. I love they way you present your videos in an informative and methodical manner. It’s obvious that you have done your home work on each model your present, just like the Yachts on Aquaholic. Keep up the good work.
Would love to know some more practical details. Does the chassis have any tech like lane keeping assist? What does the toilet empty to, a cassette, or is there a black tank? Any generator, or lithium battery options? Water tank size and heater capacity? What does the stove and fridge run off? Sorry I know you can't include everything but I'd love to hear more, the price compare to models available in the US is very cheap.
A lot of van for not a lot of money really. Well fitted out. Ideal for a couple. I can’t imagine it’s that hard to drive and manoeuvre either. Keep it up Nick.
I'm not so overkeen on the shower in these types of motor homes, the water sprays everywhere and if someone needs to use the toilet after you have taken a shower, it all has to be dried first, not very practical.
Quick look at the Autosleepers website says yes, it’s on a 3500kg basis. Has just under 400kg of payload. One driver and some fuel usually included in the base weight so that’s 400kg for passenger , luggage, food, etc, which is probably fine. You can probably get it ‘up plated’ to increase the payload but then you’ll need a C1 driving licence ( which you’ll have anyway if you passed in the U.K. before 1997). You’ll also pay more for things like toll roads in France if you have it up plated but does mean you can carry crates of wine and not worry about being pulled over onto a weighbridge!
This is exactly what I’d like for my UK photography adventures. Although, rather than a sofa style Seat. I’d prefer two smaller seats facing each other with a little laptop table between
Beware water tanks underslung and the size of thimbles! Typical AS. Nice build quality on them, but less than practical unless you are happy to stay only on sites.
Minimalist in design. The shower and toilet and especially sink, very small in diameter. I will have it designed a bit different. Thinking that will be like my home on a permanent basis.
Maybe I'm missing something. But for £66,000 it looks like tacky crap. I don't see the value in spending that sort of money on a vehicle that will be used, maybe a few times a year. It looks very over priced for what you actually get.
For creative use of space check out the Rapido Dreamer XL campervan, it has the wardrobe swing into the shower space when not in use, it also has a door in the back as well as the front.
Awesome job again as always fella. I do like this one. I’m looking to build my own because I have a disability and I need a permanent bed set up and a toilet. But I must admit that does look a bit ideal for me too. Keep up the great work and have fun and stay safe 💋
Great to see a proper bathroom as opposed to the pop-up showers that some of the DIY vans end up with. I don't think it's ideal to cater to your hygiene needs in the same area that you cater your meals...
Great review thanks. The beauty of the Autosleeper Kingham compared to virtually every other van conversion, is not only do you get a fixed double bed, but a proper lounge area at the front. Perfect for stretching out! A lot of van for the money.
Nice van for the price. A lot of nice design and kit onboard.. It seams a pity that the vans always age quite badly, though that one would age quite well I think.
It's all nicely done, no doubt. Personally I would prefer to buy a Fiat Ducato 180 at the current actual price of 21K GBP (after discount), which would leave me with a budget of 45K GBP for the interior and accessories. But not everyone wants a DIY project, which is where companies like Kingham come in.
Exterior Front end & Dash are identical to the USA 🇺🇸 Dodge Promaster. Makes sense since Fiat owns Chrysler Dodge. Geez Sir Nick, u keep a busy schedule on land & sea 👍
A modern version of our motorhome from the Wilderness company in New Zealand on our first trip to Aotearoa. It did what we wanted it to do and was a very easy comfortable vehicle to drive etc.
I'm converting a Citroen Relay (same base van as this) at home on the driveway. It'll not be quite as nice as this but I hope by the end it's a lot cheaper!
Having watched this channel and aquaholic I am wondering what's the best bang for your buck? £100,000 boat or RV? My take is better boat but higher running costs or worse RV much cheaper year on year costs. I cant decide.
That camper does NOT look quality at all. Those Fiat vans are awful and costly to run too. Not impressed at all for 66k. 99p per metre flooring???? Wow!
This is Strictly a two person van. I always prefer the fixed rear bed, unfortunately the van is a tad too small for it. The wash room looks barely usable, very very small. Plus, and not being a smart ass, 66k ?? Someone's having a giraffe 🦒😄
You can't find another van conversion with a fixed double bed, separate usable toilet /shower with a front lounge seat, microwave, solar panel and awning, at this length, anywhere else in the UK for £56k. (Which is the manual price.) 🙂
Nearly bought one of these but there's no lounge really wouldn't swap my swift kontiki for anything now so much better, bed to small but Automatic can't beat it
Il bagno dovrebbe esere più grande, a misura d'uomo e non di gnomi, dovrebbe occupare la parte posteriore del veicolo, per eliminare al meglio condense ed odori. Il frigo dovrebbe essere più capiente.
Hello! May I ask an important question: When we all move over to electric vehicles will all these motorhomes become redundant? It would be a lot of money to spend for the government to say they are now illegal

We've had our Kingham for 15 months. I'm over 6ft and the bed is fine for us. No issues with going away for 3 weeks in it at all. 🙂
Oh dear, no appearance from Jacques or Maggie...are they both too bagged out from all that time on the bow of the Y85? LOL

Get a divorce ;)

Nice vid, tour was a bit brief. Reasonably well-equipped, although the wet bath/toilet was WAY TOO SMALL!
Nice van, just not for me.
Yes, the shower should have been bigger and a pull-down bed which would be normally vertical against the wall.
Not a big fan of Vans with only 2 belted seats. Adding even only one extra seat adds enormously to the flexibility of the van.
Another great video Nick and a cracking van for the price, for a quick weekend (or week) away👍
Thank you :)

I appreciate that!

Agreed. Little bit too cosmetic this review
The US is a ripoff clown!

Great weekend get away, well designed lost of thought gone in to the space and not a bad price for a motorhome of that quality
I'm guessing standard driving licence for this? Love it.
I think so, yes.

I almost went with this style of motorhome, but ended up getting a small travel trailer.
Thats a really nice Motorcaravan. Particularly like the colours schemes they have uses
As a disabled person, this van would be considered but I would need a bigger washroom. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
This is exactly what I’d like for my UK photography adventures. Although, rather than a sofa style

Shut up "Karen"
Love this van design, small luxury motor home in a manageable size.
Minimalist in design. The shower and toilet and especially sink, very small in diameter. I will have it designed a bit different. Thinking that will be like my home on a permanent basis.

Clearly plenty of other people can... 🙂
Some people go away in theirs all year round. The flexibility that a motorhome / campervan gives you (admittedly at a cost) is unbeatable.
69 comments. Wheyyyyyyyyyyyy
These are fun because they REALLY have to be creative to fit everything in. Like a small boat.
For creative use of space check out the Rapido Dreamer XL campervan, it has the wardrobe swing into the shower space when not in use, it also has a door in the back as well as the front.

It surprising but Fiat do very well in reliability, beating Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, VW etc... That's cars but the vans might be similar.
In that price range u can have better options... This one thumbs down
Been looking around for a new motorhome think this could be a contender
I prefer buying used van for £10 grand then spend another £5 grand job done
Very bad design. Must think customers are idiots. The other company design much better
It's one of Auto-Sleeper's most popular motorhomes, so either they're ALL idiots, or... 🤔
We love ours!! 🙂
Only one bed and one passenger seat. Someone has got it wrong here. Good luck to you
Great to see a proper bathroom as opposed to the pop-up showers that some of the DIY vans end up with. I don't think it's ideal to cater to your hygiene needs in the same area that you cater your meals...
Is there a nook or something by the bed to put your glasses and phone?
Very very nice sweet 👍🏽👏🥰 like this car 🚙
Love it. But is the space above the freezer part of the freezer. If not need to be.
Awesome
What a great little unit for a weekend getaway.

For the amount of money requested they could`ve done better.

Truly amazing insight , how long did it take you to come up with it ?
£66k to travel like a tortoise with my home is expensive
Omg.... Since when you launched an auto channel?? What's next...? Airbus?
You would think there would be a tv,for £66,000!nice van though.
A brand new TV was under the bed in our Kingham!
I want one I from Myanmar please😢😢
Exterior Front end & Dash are identical to the USA 🇺🇸 Dodge Promaster. Makes sense since Fiat owns Chrysler Dodge. Geez Sir Nick, u keep a busy schedule on land & sea 👍
Wow and compact but stunning.. Looking great Nick Sir... Dashing...
You're very kind :)
@@MOTAHOLIC It's my pleasure 😊 Nick Sir... I daily waits for your videos.. And enjoy every bit of it..
Love it. Plenty of storage. Colour scheme is perfect. Easy to drive. What more could you ask for.
Yes indeed!
A modern version of our motorhome from the Wilderness company in New Zealand on our first trip to Aotearoa. It did what we wanted it to do and was a very easy comfortable vehicle to drive etc.
Amazing kit in a small home.
What was that bathroom about 18” wide?
We always enjoy your. Videos...
Congratulations

Not that nice Nick.........reminds me of MFI quality Flat Pack (exposed hinges and plastic cap covered joints.........sorry mate just my opinion
Hi Nick. A compact affordable van conversion. Smart looking too, nice colour. Great tour thanks 😊
My pleasure!
I'm converting a Citroen Relay (same base van as this) at home on the driveway. It'll not be quite as nice as this but I hope by the end it's a lot cheaper!
Best of luck!
Not sure I would trust Fiat to live in.

I think it would be better with a vertical bed which pulls down, so you have more space and a slightly larger shower room, as it's a bit cramped.
Why don't you mention the length?
I can't believe I just found your "terrestrial" channel..... I love it almost as much as Aquaholic!!
Welcome aboard! 🙂
Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Wow, nice for such a small area, has everything you need including a bathroom!
I would like this vehicle
Is this available in the US?
Very nice that one and UK friendly too 👍
This is what I’ve been looking for. Can’t find American made. Michigan 🤗
Where can I buy this ?
I love that... its small easy to drive and blue... wish it was cheaper... Also i would prefer a smaller bed and shower cabin insted of the opposite.
Love the modern layout. Query. Mini Bar in a motor vehicle? Drinking & Driving? Wild.
Hi, do both rear doors open?
That camper does NOT look quality at all. Those Fiat vans are awful and costly to run too. Not impressed at all for 66k. 99p per metre flooring???? Wow!

It's only sold as a 2 person van!

That toilet and shower are absolutely dreadful 66k buys you a lot of B&B
Place to sleep when the wife is mad at you. haha
66k just seems excessive. The manufacturer's must be making 30% margin on these. It's lovely but 66k?
Nick key unique auto sleeper feature is using vans with the standard window cut outs. Not double glazed but potentially more secure
I have an idea from aquaholic of sailing to France and touring the coast. A ferry is still sailing and this is really well appointed.
I don’t understand - where’s the yacht?! Another great channel for me to follow - cheers 😀
Welcome aboard!
So frustrating.... Why do all these equivalent vans cost almost double this in the US.... ?
I really love this one. Oh it's so beautiful. Thank you.
Does it have a heater ?
Love it👍😁
Did I miss the TV?
Just found this channel after watching your yatch tours
Awesome, welcome aboard! :)
Have a safe blessed day! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
For the the size I am quite surprised it didn’t put the shower outside
I would swap that fridge and wardrobe positions to get a bigger fridge
Nick you forgot to show the tall cupboard!
Il bagno dovrebbe esere più grande, a misura d'uomo e non di gnomi, dovrebbe occupare la parte posteriore del veicolo, per eliminare al meglio condense ed odori. Il frigo dovrebbe essere più capiente.
Absolutely Beautiful!!!
Thanks Nick, a great tour of this great little Motorhome, keep them coming
Thanks, will do!
For the size its very nice. Thank you Nick.

Hello Nick.

I shouldn't worry too much, unlikely to happen in our lifetime 🙂
Nice colors but personally I wouldn't sleep with my head next to toilet.
Nice looking RV.
I’d love to own one of these! Thanks for the tour.
Thanks for watching!
