I took the Q10 bus to get into JFK after connecting from the subway at Kew Gardens. Just follow the people lining up for the free connecting bus. This is a good option if you have plenty of time to spare for your flight. There was significant traffic at the end stretch of my bus trip.
@@UrbanCaffeine It was Monday evening. I think there is always traffic getting into the airport, but like I said you could do it with enough time. It sure beats the air train if you're a cheapo like me!

It's like you read my mind. I was just telling a friend about how to get to JFK from your previous video :) Also, if my analysis is correct there is no need to get a bus at all at Leffters Blvd Station. According to Google Maps, walking from that station to Howard Beach JFK Subway station is about 11 minutes. So you don't have to wait for the bus if you don't want to. (Love the new Theas :D)
Agree. Walking through long term parking seemed like a good option. Feedback Anyone… leffers to Howard’s beach on foot … or is there a free airport parking shuttle. TIA.
Does anyone know whether the Howard Beach Station can be accessed from the Long Term Parking Lot at JFK? If that's the case you just have to get off the airtrain at Leffters Blvd. St. and walk through the parking lot.
I suspect it isn’t possible to get from the parking lot east of Howard beach to the Howard beach station without paying the airtrain fare, they’ve probably blocked it off, but I haven’t been there so idk.

@@UrbanCaffeine 1 more question for you....is it safe to ride the subway around 9pm ?
How to use 1 metrocard for 4 people?
Would I be able to buy the unlimited metro card at the bus stations? Q1
Bus stations don't have Metrocard machines. But you can pay with your phone or tap with your card.
Thea - If you got the air train to Lefferts Blvd Station is it then a short enough (and convenient enough) walk to Howards Beach subway station to avoid the $8 air tain fee and also to avoid the need for a bus trip ?
Hey there. People have been asking about that. It looks like it involves walking through a parking lot. Not sure if anyone will stop you. It might not hurt to try out. If anything you can get back on the AirTrain and pay the $8 at Howard Beach. If you ever get to try it out, let me know!
@@UrbanCaffeine A review on Google says you have to pay $8 if you try to get to the subway from the carpark.
What about from the subway to the parking lot?
SHoot, I should make videos like this. I would be getting patreon support since I've taken the b15 back when it was 6.50
which card do you get so you can use airtrain and subway?
The MetroCard can be used for both.
@@UrbanCaffeine so how do we buy a card to use on airtrain and subways. We want a 7 day unlimited. Sorry for all the questions just were travelling from UK to NYC in August.
@@stewartmann2202 Hey there. I explained it here: ruclips.net/video/3XHA4LczF2A/видео.html
This same video shows you how to buy a MetroCard as well.
If you use your credit card to pay for the bus at JFK how does the system know you have already paid at the subway?
The system will remember your credit card, so make sure to use the same credit card.
metrocard machine is at jfk airport or at jamaica?
Hi! The machines are available right before you exit so they will be at Jamaica Station (and Howard Beach).
Shhhh.....you weren't supposed to tell anyone. That was between you and I. 😂😂
I can buy The unlimited metro card in that kiosk???
Yes, you can.
@@UrbanCaffeine And doesn´t have 1$ fee???
And the unlimited can be charged in that machine or in other after passing the airtrain barrier?
@@alvaritogamiz13 This video might explain it better: ruclips.net/video/3XHA4LczF2A/видео.html
if you had uploaded even half a day earlier, this would have helped me :(
Sorry the hear! 😐 But I hope it was still a good trip.
That’s a lot of work to save $8
AIR TRAIN sucks. If you want to see proper transit, go to Asia or Europe and get into the terminal from the city in ONE RIDE. Because the EINSTEINS at NYC airport council decided to go cheap, we now have a second rate system that requires you to haul ass and your bags down stairs and around and about.. Absolute second rate bush league, a total embarrassment. America, vote in people who will spend on good transit or suffer this SHAME.
