Thanks for the demo, that's all we need sometimes just someone kind enough who will test all presets so we can think yes love those sounds, I'll buy it!
Helpful video thanks for making time to share it. It's nice to have full confidence in the product you intend to buy before spending the money. I am a bit more of a presets guy so this helps me heaps
In short, it comes down to the one you like the most for the sound and playability. The SE-02 has a more powerful synthesis but the monologue still has a plenty of clever tricks to be a good synth. The monologue comes with a keyboard, on the SE-02 it’s optional. They both have powerful sequencer including motion sequence. For me, the Monologue sequencer seems to be more playable because of its dedicated section.
Hey Nutrix! Great vid! I know the output is stereo but are the sounds in stereo an if so, how? Is there a way to pan the oscillators for example? The delay seem to be in mono as well? Thanks! BR /Mack
The knobs are small - they are 6mm D shaft knobs, 10mm diameter, 9mm high. If you want to replace them,or some of them depending on your requirements/need then check this out www.gearnews.com/replace-knobs-roland-boutique-se-02/
Can you make a video on showing how to sync the Se 02 arpeggiator to the tempo of the Song? There's not one video on RUclips. Not even the manufacturer has made one. you would think they would show you how to do that. how to sync the SE-02 to your D.A.W? How do you make the se-02 slave to a master clock and play a sequence with that master clock/daw sequencer?
It is not a recreation of an old synth. It’s a collaboration between STudio Electronic and Roland. It’s like a SE-1 from Studio Electronic with Roland filters and a great sequencer.
Very nice of you to take the time to do this ;-)

You are welcome. Thanks for the kind words. Just share please.
A two note demo, wow
Great video Sir! How many octaves does this do?
Is there a big difference between SE02 and Monologue, obviously both are mono synths with extended controls,so why should I chose SE02 over Monologue?

Did you figure it out? Power on holding the comp button. Press 7, turn value knob for clock sync options, midi, usb, internal.
I had the SE for a while. But it is a bitch to get it sit nicely in a mix. It sounds great tough.....
What is the maximum sequence step length you can do? 16 or it is possible to play 64 steps and save the long sequence?
Not possible but you can do it by adding another 16 step pattern and so on
Good demo. Could you hook this synth up to a reverb/delay unit for a nice stereo effect?😏😏😏😏😏😏😏😏
Sadly I don’t have the unit anymore.
But yes it could be done. Don’t forget is has its own delay.
What waveform were you playing I couldn't quite tell. Thanks for this.
#79 and #91 🥰
What is user bank? For saving new patch?
The bank where you can save new sounds. the other one is factory bank.
@@Nu-trix thank you very much! One more question, where to save new sequencer? In user bank?
If I remember well... yes!
u could have played those pad patches like a pad patch. not like playing a lead solo
But it’s a monophonic synth!
Se 02 is based on which synth ?
It is not a recreation of an old synth. It’s a collaboration between STudio Electronic and Roland. It’s like a SE-1 from Studio Electronic with Roland filters and a great sequencer.
Minimoog
It doesn't sound like a Roland though :(
Is has a lot of Studio Electronic DNA in it.
@@Nu-trix haha this is exactly why it's a buy for me.
Michael Williams it sounds Moog-ish. And thats a good thing.
DREADBOX TYPHON IS A MUCH BETTER CHOICE! THIS THING SOUND THIN.....
I have both, both sounds great, se02 even more fatter
@@alvaroaprr I've had to put my SE-02 on a diet !
