Mrs Davis was the best show I saw in 2023. Betty Gilpin was unbelievably great in it! Many people would have missed it because it was on Peacock. I wish more people get to see it!

I LOVE The Leftovers. The first season is pretty good, but the second and third are amazing. It’s easily in my top 3 favorite shows. It the only show I can’t binge through over several hours because it absolutely destroys you emotionally. Even thinking about the theme song feels like a punch in the gut

I enjoyed most of world War z but the scene where this scientist just runs away and trips and somehow lands on his gun and shoots himself in the head was a bit of a reach and goofy😂😂
I both understand exactly what you mean, but somehow still disagree. Something about how there are situations in life where everything has to go right, sometimes a thing that shouldn't go wrong goes wrong. Like a gun safety instructor shooting himself in the leg during a presentation in a school.

@@Majinkennn I didn't finish Season 3 because it just got silly. Those weren't "plot lines" they were narrative spaghetti and I stopped caring. Also the explanation is dumb. Lions and hippos are both "highly aggressive and territorial" and would have been equally surprising to find on an uncharted island, but no they had to do polar bears to be mysterious and then fumbled the reveal. But if you enjoy opaque, nonsensical narrative for the sake of obtuseness then I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Create a mystery. Have no idea what the solution to the mystery is. Continue writing yourselves into corners because only amateurs have any idea how they will end a story.

On Watchmen and The Leftovers he had someone else's book to go on, which saved them (I'd read the comic book). Admittedly, I have a personal beef as a friend in the Bronx who knew him once approached him in my behalf on my writing and he told my friend to tell me to F' off.
He's gonna ruin Green Lantern, tell him to read Geoff John's GL run before he decides to cast off Hal Jordan in favor of John Stewart. Why do they always hire people that have no knowledge of the source material.
