    I'm one of the suckers that purchased the ultra expensive DermaFlash. I've used it once. I did have some facial hair removed but I did not see any of the dead skin. I don't know if is before it's vibrating and it just falls off or it just wasn't working. I'm actually thinking of checking the return policy on this thing. I'm a little (ok, very) nervous about a sharp blad though. I read the reviews on Amazon that said you can cut yourself easily. Maybe if I watched a tutorial over and over :) This is great info and I really appreciate it coming from a professional. Thanks for taking the time to try out different kinds and share!!!

    I bought the Miss Gorgeous blades. Damn, you really gotta be careful with those. With the usual plastic eyebrow trimmers you don't need to worry that they cut your face but with the MG it's another story. They remove so much from my face, and you need to apply very little pressure. Amazing, can't wait to repurchase them.

    Not sure where you live but there's a Japanese store called Daiso, it's basically like a 99 cent store but everything is no less than $1.50. Anyways, the second razor product you used, they recently started selling those for $1.50 for a pack of 7! They work amazing!!!! They are really sharp but work like magic. I highly recommend those for anyone who is on a budget. Not sure if Daiso is only in California but definitely look for them in your areas

    I use these little razors too ans they're sharp, and it gets the work done, however I notice that if I do it on dry skin it's too irritating (my skin is very sensitive) and I get these little bumps that sometimes can turn into pimples. I will say I only use witch hazel to damp my skin a bit and I clean the razors with alcohol. Could you tell me why I'm getting these bumps? Thanks in advance!

      Dana-Marie Rackal I go against the hair holding the skin taught.
      If you ever find that you get irritation or ingrown hair you can go with the direction of the hair. I feel like I get a much better Dermaplane result going against the hair growth :))

    Ok so I have questions. I do dermaplaning at home. Getting new razors now to see if it will make a difference. But my face usually breaks out in bumps and I get a bunch of white heads on my chin. Is the last enzyme product you used going to make it worse. I have dry acne prone sesnative skin. And I like dermaplaning to get ride of all my dead flaky skin

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  4 года назад

      The enzyme shouldn’t make that worse. I would suggest a BHA toner to help keep your face clear after. One that is very good for this purpose is called “Tend Skin”. It’s really made to help avoid razor burn from shaving but also really helps with post dermaplaning breakouts 😃💜

    Thank you so much for doing this demo! I shave my face on a regular basis but didn't know about the peel to put on after. Will definitely be giving that a try!! I am also ordering those razors!! Love and Hugs!!

    Hi Penn I’ve recently seen Bare by Schick. I don’t know if this is a new product. It’s around $30 so more than these but significantly less than the $200+ tools. Have you seen this ?

    Could dermaplanning cause acne breakouts? As I’ve gotten older, I started battling with cystic adult acne, but it’s a lot better and pretty much gone. I just have a lot of peach fuzz and I’m scared that it if I remove it, it will cause more acne/ingrown hairs?

      Aleah McKinney re cystic acne. Ask your MD to do PCOS bloodwork. Some find Spironolactone to help a lot.

      I like to dermaplane every 4 weeks at home:)
      In office we stretch it to about every 6 weeks.
      Hope that helps! 💕

      Not a bad idea at all. I just know that it's out of a lot of people's budget to pay someone to shave their face (let's be real here). But I do know that even when I have someone else do my dermaplane (rather than do it myself) I get a better result. But if that's not an option....at home jobs will work! xoxoxo
      I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
