  • • NOTE: This hospital complex was previously known as Sanglah General Hospital.
    One of several unreliable elevators in the hospital complex. This elevator frequently turns off and on by itself for some unknown reason which makes it creepy. What's even more creepier is that it has no alarm button inside (clearly someone took it off), but at least they've put an emergency number on the cab wall. IMO it would be so much better if they could replace this (and the bed elevator next door) with a Mitsubishi instead of horribly modernize it with crappy generic components.
    • UPDATE (Jun 2023): This elevator has been modernized by Hyundai.
    Capacity: Not listed
    Floors served: G, 1, 2, 3 (4 floors)

    Model / buttons: STVF / Type 40

    0:49 You can see that the lift started up RIGHT after the door safety mechanism connected, no delay. (Judging by the arrows)
    btw why are the arrows like that

    I've long notice that Korean elevators have reliability issues..... LG, Sigma and now Hyundai....

      I heard from someone who works in an elevator company, Hyundai in Indonesia have been criticised for its reliability issues and some technicians have moved out to another elevator company. Meanwhile in Singapore, Sigma is currently banned from installing elevators in public housing projects due to multiple breakdown cases and reliability issues.

      +IDLift3000 Yup. Even the Hyundai iXel (which are high end) often go out of service for no reason at all. I've seen one in an apartment go out of service and level slowly to the ground floor to "reset" itself. There was no reason for it to do that at all, the lift was fine.
      Hyundai lifts when compared to others seem to be unreliable. You have answered me last time that Hyundais are reliable if they are maintained properly, but I was actually referring to the weird logic that often brings it out of service randomly or just crap out for no reason. I have noticed this a lot from the lift going out of AUTO mode, and going out of service after nothing happened, etc.
      For Sigma I actually think they are reliable (in Indonesia and South Korea at least. I never notice reliability issues with Sigma lifts. I heard that they are unreliable in Singapore lately which is weird. Even those late 2010 iris models seem to run very well. The basic low end 3rd gen Sigma (which has a crappy chime) are less reliable (obstructing the door brings it out of service), but still fine.

      That explains why new Hyundai installations are a bit rare nowadays, and Sigma is mushrooming.

      +IndoTravelGuy200 Sigma's low end 2nd generation lifts (which were the old Iris version with the two/four tone chimes) are also crap and cheap looking. One of the lifts that fell down at Blok M Square last year due to overloading was in fact a Sigma Iris. It was then replaced with a new Iris NV lift, along with the other one next door which was unaffected by the accident.

      +IDLift3000 Was that one in Blok M square due to poor maintenance or just flawed lift design?

    Why is the arrow like that?

    • @idl3k_elev
      @idl3k_elev  6 лет назад

      Which arrow?

    • @indotravelguy2004
      @indotravelguy2004 6 лет назад

      +IDLift3000 The directional arrow. That one is quite rare. I never saw one like that in real life.

    • @idl3k_elev
      @idl3k_elev  6 лет назад +1

      That arrow is often seen in some generic style Hyundai lifts (e.g. Kemang Arcade and Grand Indonesia's service lifts), but they are also seen in few normal Hyundai lifts as well.

    The cap. for this elevator is 6 Pers. And 450kg

      I know this comment is quite old, the actual capacity is 8 persons/600 kg as this elevator has been recently modernized by Hyundai.
