Samal island is really blessed with many beauties of nature. Aside from white sand and clear water beaches, there are parks , waterfall plus beautiful resorts and restaurants. Andrei, you are at the right island. Hope one day I can visit Samal island too.

Guys be careful in walking around in forest areas, always carry long sticks for tapping on bushes in your path scaring off snakes. Samal island is known to have cobras in forest areas and grasslands.

Philippines is just so lucky not to have black mamba snakes, but we do have cobra and it's still venomous, sometimes it has no access to some anti-venom and it's very much "fatal!"... Comments here are not meant to scare.... but the subscribers don't like the idea that someday soon when you all come back to the Philippines, one or maybe two of the group, will already have snake bites history or some fractured bones, cause of the slippery rocks on waterfalls. That's adventure, but there are still necessary precautions.
