In the beginning we are saved by grace through faith. We are made alive who were once dead in our trespasses and sin. God delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of his son, in whom we have redemption through his blood...we did not do anything, it is a gift from God...that is all true but that is not all there is to salvation, that is just the beginning of our lifelong journey, our walk. We are out of Egypt but have not arrived at promise land yet.....then when Christ returns, the son of man will send out his angles and they will gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and those who practice lawlessness and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their father. He who has ears to hear let him hear....and as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for him, he will appear a second time apart from sin, for salvation....do not marvel at this for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear his voice and come forth, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation....for as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order, Christ the firstfruits, afterwards those who are Christ at his coming.....according to scripture there is a difference between being saved in the beginning and being saved when Christ returns, judgement our resurrection. It not only matters if we believe, remain faithful, it also matters how we live, our walk, our righteousness.....if we endure we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us.....

So you didn’t turn from darkness to light? You don’t have to walk in the light?
Doesn’t Paul say that you have to do that before forgiveness of sins?
Acts 26:18 to open their eyes, 👉in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, 👉that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’
If you don’t turn from darkness or sin, you don’t have forgiveness of sins. If you don’t have forgiveness of sins, you’re not saved.
      Again.
1 John 1:7 But 👉if we walk in the light👈 as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and 👉the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
According to John, one must walk in the light as He Christ is in the light in order to have forgiveness of sins. Again, you can’t be saved if you’re not forgiven.
Also, Jesus said one must lose their life in order to have life. Isn’t losing your life doing something?
Jesus talked about one selling all other pearls in order to obtain the Pearl of Great Price. Isn’t selling all other pearls doing something?
Furthermore, isn’t believing and confessing doing something?
Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

One must turn from their sin, darkness to light even in initial salvation. This is not your own work as Ephesians 2:8-9 states. It’s a work wrought in God.

Faith alone is not a license to sin. Because saving Faith is never alone.
When we preach works as part of salvation without the distinction between Christ working in us aka “fruits of righteousness” fruits and works are closely correlated. We can preach a message that could lean one to earn their salvation through works of the law;this is a very very delicate matter.
The enemy is on both sides of this doctrine pulling hard to draw some into a ditch. Ezk 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
The power to obey is a result of Gods Grace abiding in us. But it should be preached as a response that works in us. Like Godly sorrow works repentance. If someone repents without actually seeing their need and being pricked in their heart; then this is reformation and not a repentance granted from heaven that leads to regeneration or a genuine new birth.
There is a lot of perverting of God’s grace that doesn’t include the Holiness that should follow. And this can cause us to pull hard on the other side.
But I see some who pull too hard and fall over on the individuals response and not the drawing power of the Father and the conviction of the Holy Ghost etc.. as well as I see the administration of Grace without the Holiness that should follow. It’s often times not one side or the other but a rightful dividing of the scriptures or balancing of the entire word in Love.
    Stay balanced Brother ❤

Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner been really busy but I would highly recommend “Will the theologians please sit down” by David Bercot he gives references for all his Luther quotes. Chapter 15 in that book is quite eye opening to the murderous tyrant that Luther was when speaking of his encouragement to the German rulers to put to death the anabaptists by saying “the stubborn sectarians must be put death”. He also encouraged the Nobility to viciously slaughter the German peasants who were rebelling against the inhumane poverty they were living in. You can Google his rant on this matter which makes an Islamic terrorist seem mild in comparison. The murdering that Luther, Calvin and Zwingli encouraged their governments to carry out was absolutely demonic. The overwhelming majority of Protestant believers have absolutely no idea that they are following the teachings of men who were egotistical murdering tyrants and for 500 years Protestant theologians has almost completely ignored and and most likely intentionally hidden this truth knowing it would hinder their adherents from excepting the faith alone doctrine so easily. Brother I believe the Protestant doctrine of faith alone is as demonically inspired as Catholicism because it produces Luke warm believers who never forsake sin and the love of this world and it’s almost impossible to get the blinders off their eyes once their indoctrinated. Blessings keep up the good fight of faith! 🙏🏻

you have a very obvious misunderstanding of faith alone. faith alone means the imputed righteousness from God to the sinner, and then the sinner has faith, he or she believes in the work of salvation, which was the work and merit of Jesus Christ, atoning for our sins on the cross, and raising to justify us. Not only does the sinner believe but he or she bears fruit in good works, and good morals, and good teachings according to Scripture. so no, faith alone doesn’t give license to sin. read the entirety of Romans 6. You sin less as a true believer in Jesus Christ. Read Romans 7 also if you are so invested in sinless perfectionism. If you go on habitually and willfully sinning, then you had no faith to begin with, I agree. But if you are given true faith, you have eternal security and sin a lot less due to the grace of God. if you think your salvation was merited by you, you’d be majorly mistaken, believing in a false Gospel, which if you proclaim this false Gospel, you are anathema, damned, accursed according to Galatians. you as a human must humble yourself before God before you accept the good news, if you think any part of you contributed, then you haven’t been saved yet

Romans 3:20-28 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
    But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 3:23-29 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

@@voiceoftruth You think turning from sins is a requirement for salvation (which is works), when in reality, salvation is all about what Christ did for us. We are justified by faith in Christ, your works don't save you or keep you saved. Whosoever believeth in him (Christ) hath everlasting life and is SEALED until the day of redemption.
We should do good works after we are saved for all eternity, but not to be saved or stay saved. What you're doing is putting the cart before the horse. Grace and works don't mix.

Is turning from darkness (sin), you doing something? Forgiveness of sins or justification happens AFTER a person does that! Grant it, OBEDIENCE STARTS IN THE HEART. God can save a person IF and only WHEN obedience starts in the heart the bearing of external fruit can be the evidence before man! Thank God, HE knows the heart of man and they don’t need to live X amount of days before He can forgive a person!

    John 17:3 says

And this is life eternal, that they might KNOW thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

The Bible says that eternal life is to KNOW the Father and Jesus.
How are we able to know that we have come to KNOW the Father and Jesus?
    1 John 2:3-4 says

3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
So, assurance of eternal life in Christ is to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ and by this we can KNOW that we KNOW Him and have eternal life. The Bible clearly says that whoever says they KNOW Him but does not keep His commandments(plural) is a LIAR!! Plain and simple.

The gospel that is taught to many people today has been reduced down to just "faith alone". This false gospel of "faith alone" has made following the commandments of Christ null and void. Obeying His commandments have been eliminated from the gospel and have been made subsequent and optional to salvation. Walking in the Spirit has been made optional as well. This false gospel of "faith alone" changes what Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 - For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Instead of following the biblical teaching on salvation in Christ, they follow this false gospel which tells them that they can be saved by "faith alone", apart from having to keep the commandments of Christ.
By teaching that we do NOT need to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ as the gospel, the saving power of the gospel has been neutralized. The end result is that millions of people have been deceived by the devil's masterpiece into thinking they have eternal life in Christ when they actually do not.

The only person who ever "earned" their own salvation was Jesus Himself. We do not obey God to earn salvation. We obey God because we have been saved. Saving faith is never alone. Romans 8:7-9

What does Matthew 16:27; John 5:28-29, Romans 2:4-13, Galatians 6:7-10; 2 Corinthians 5:10; and Revelation 20:12-14 (among many others) teach about final judgment? It’s not a trick question, you just have to read the Bible.

@Progger_Frogger those who are in the flesh cannot keep God's commandments. Those who have the spirit of God dwelling within them can. Romand 8:7-9. Salvation produces obedience, obedience does not earn salvation. By the works of the law no one will be justified. Galatians 2:16. Either the Scriptures contradict themselves, or they can be harmonized by the full council of God. I will stand in the judgment, trusting COMPLETELY in the righteousness of Christ. His righteousness given to me by faith in Him. May God open your eyes to see the Gospel.

You didn’t harmonize anything. You simply ignored every verse I cited and asserted verses you believe contradict the verses I cited. Romans 2:13 literally says the doers of the law will be justified. There is a way to harmonize them, you just haven’t found it. Tell me why every verse I just cited (and every verse on final judgment) has nothing to do with a person’s faith and only has to do with a person’s works.

Show me where in the Bible it says Christ’s righteousness (ie the good deeds He did 2000 years ago which you falsely believe are accounted to you while you continue live as a sinner) will be of any avail to you on final judgment day. I gave you 6+ verses proving your works are what God weighs on final judgment, now provide one verse that supports your theory.
