Saudi Arabia built King Abdullah economic city and it failed therefore i will not be shocked if THE LINE follows the same fate. What also are they going to do with all this stadiums after the world cup especially in Riyadh, most of their domestic football matches are played in empty crowds.
In my opinion, The Line has not been marketed or presented in the right way. As I see it, the Arabian Peninsula is an environmentally stressed region-it’s a desert with limited water resources, frequent sandstorms, and extremely hot weather for half the year. To me, The Line is a project aimed at creating a sustainable urban environment in the desert. It serves as a model for building sustainable living in a challenging environment. I believe if this had been explained to the world from the beginning, people would have taken the project more seriously.
Just wish that football would come home. As half of the world's population watch the Premiership. A few new stadiums would get built in England. Thanks again Fred.

As long as we all keep letting car companies convince us we need gas SUVs instead of sedans or (gasp) EVs, they'll have more than enough money to build at least two or three of these...
The fantasy starts at 7:26 and ends at 8:39
Majority of poor people in developing countries don't have: Piped water, drainage, sewers, refuse collection, welfare payments (for basic food shelter and clothing), paved sidewalks, roads, street lighting, clean public schools access, clean public hospitals access, access to impartial justice. Providing all of those things will create millions of real jobs in addition to lifting the country out of hovel status. That's what our governments should be focused upon, not hugely expensive luxury projects. Just my take, no offense intended towards anyone.
Purely in term of architecture, this video is more than our needed daily dose !
All the westerns who live in concrete cities are going to be very upset about this
Very enjoyable as always 👍
However I will believe these tenders when I see them built, which I doubt will happen.
Love everything this channel puts out.
Blind approval of morally dubious behavior. No wonder they ❤ed this comment.
When you have more money than sense
those bikes on the BMX track are funny 😄
They took "Put it all on the line" too literally...
That's ridiculous to have that many stadiums that close together. Are there many people within the area to fill them all? Sounds like overkill.
'Back row', it's football not rugby Fred. 😉
Wait... there's a difference?!
@@TheB1M One is a beautiful game of tactics and skill, the other is a bunch of big hairy men crashing into each other with one running with the ball as everyone chases him.
@@TheB1M weak effort
6:16 “… uses motives”… it’s “motifs”, - pronounced moh-teefs’ [emphasis on 2nd syllable]
Amazing video, thank you
Hello, from Uzbekistan
Judging by the reduced scale of the line, they'll need to plan 150 stadiums to end up with 15.
And 90% of the facilities and associated stadium areas around them will be abandoned before and after - insane.
'back row' plus your dream team graphic is back to front! freddie and football do not mix haha
wow, the saidis will really do anything besides acctually helping the world.
why should they?
however I partially agree, at least they should think more about the far future of their nation
This is as outlandish as space
Damn! Render hustle go hard! Too bad none of these pipe dreams will ever be built!😂😂😂
That's what they said about Qatar, and it was the best World Cup to date
4:04 The mad spirit of experimental architecture is to be applauded especially as it's withering on the vine in the current cost conscious climate.
As just mentioned, how close will these imagined befores be to their actual afters? Can you foresee a situation where FIFA permits all those distracting screens to be on during world cup matches? Can you imagine the added pressure on the players to beat the competition? Not from the other team but from the screens. Finally, can you imagine that if FIFA allows them to be functioning during a game, can you imagine them allowing anything other than the live feed or replays on them? I dunno, something like adverts to be shown too..‽
Of course they will!!!
Well that's going to be fun all sun and no ice cold beer!!
The thing I like about Arabian countries is they have proven their critics wrong with every abnormal building projects they undertake.
Critics never learn that where there is infinite money, there are infinite possibilities.
That halo bit 😂
There’s no way half of these get built
Squandering their oil revenue on 11 new stadiums, while needing to construct an entire city just to surround one of them. Wild.
Welcome to AI Render Arabia.
"While it's hard to believe any of the more experimental stadiums will get built"
Yep... So we're counting on about 10 or so of these actually being built?
If "actually being built" entails being used as intended for actual sporting events, and not just closed down after just a few events, I think I'll make the guess of three of them actually being built.
اكتشفت أن الأجانب يحسدوننا تمامًا مثل محيطنا البائس.🙂
Saudi Arabia built King Abdullah economic city and it failed therefore i will not be shocked if THE LINE follows the same fate. What also are they going to do with all this stadiums after the world cup especially in Riyadh, most of their domestic football matches are played in empty crowds.
Good video
production quality is through the roof brvv!
I believe if this had been explained to the world from the beginning, people would have taken the project more seriously.
amazing how not even nearly all the money in the world can buy elegance
The stadiums look beautiful, what are you talking about?
the bmx track has road bikes on it lol
Just wish that football would come home. As half of the world's population watch the Premiership. A few new stadiums would get built in England. Thanks again Fred.
