The gospel of Calvinism is good news mixed with bad news. They say we have good news, Jesus Christ died for you and can save you, but the bad news is you may not be one of the elect and cannot come to Him.
Christ came to find and save sinners. He says that He is knocking and at the door, and if you open it to Him, He will come inside (your heart) and will stay with you. The Gospel is not a mixture of good news and bad, it is simply the news God gave to us to understand His plan of salvation for you, me, and anyone who will open the door.
Right, but the Calvinist gospel is mixed with come to Christ and He will save you, "but" you may not be able to come to Him, because you are one of the elect. They try to blend the two which creates a False gospel
@larrynelson3329 I know what you're saying. I don't consider myself a Calvinist, and I struggled with their doctrine of election for a very long time. The word "elect" is kind of frightening. I do agree, however, that the Bible does say the we are called by Christ. I hold to the belief that anyone who hears the Gospel and then responds with nothing more than a sincere interest in learning more about Christ, and who does so with a sincere heart is by default being called. There are some who hear but walk away. I think that's what's meant by the wheat and the tares parable. The tares are those who say, "I'm not interested, and I'm not ever going to be." They prefer the "bling" that the world offers a opposed to what Jesus offers. In that sense, it IS a decision. Some, like me, may hear, fall away, but come back. Some will never come back. Some hear and are immediately "all in." He comes to all of us, but not all respond with a desire for the true saving knowledge of Jesus. To make it simple: if you have a desire to know the things and ways of God, in your heart, that is sincere, and you continue in His Word with persistence, you've been called. The "non- elect" are those who were never going to love God anyway. They don't give a damn, and are proud of it. Doesn't sound like you - just go on with Jesus just the same, and don't worry about it. In Christ's love, to you.
Ohhh yeah that’s just like the culture to believe God is in control of our destiny and that man is fallen and wicked to the core not able to seek God..ohh yeah that’s definitely a str8 from the world 😏….its your worldly belief that man is ultimately good and the prideful idea that you play a part in your salvation..that’s the false world derived doctrin

Can you or anyone please provide scriptural truth to this statement. I am not saying you are wrong or right, all I ask and I am sure others as well is a fact based argument to what one states. Otherwise I (we) may as well do a Google search or a Wikipedia search. respectfully el Gringo
@xelgringox Voddie's sermon here is making a broad statement about the truth and reliability of scripture and how mankind has chosen to make God into something that suits their own tastes, rather than adhering to the truth of the Word. People go insane over Calvinism; I used to also. Talking about the elect is frightening to at lot of people, but it's actually comforting. Just think of it this way - you're on this comment section asking for someone to respond to you about the truth of this sermon (I think that's what you're asking) - that means that you're interested in learning more about God because only He can call you to do that. You're fine - just believe in the Gospel of Salvation, knowing that you are saved by God's graciousness, because you know in your heart that Jesus Christ went to the cross and willingly died. He shed his blood, being the only ultimate & perfect sacrifice before God that God accepted to atone for the sin of mankind. Prior to Christ, the blood of bulls and sleep were only accepted by God as a temporary covering for sin - not a dismissal of it. Jesus changed all that - he did away with the centuries-old sacrificial system. The Gospel teaches us that there is no action (no sacrament, no baptism of any kind, no candle to be lit, etc) that man can do in order to be right with God. Trust in Jesus alone. Don't get stuck in some of these crazy comments you read in here. Read the Bible one verse at a time. You will see that the entire Bible is about Jesus. He is foreshadowed all over the Old Testament, and walks among us in the New Testament as the Godman. Don't listen to any prosperity preachers or any that will say what you want to hear. If they're teaching from the Bible, verse by verse, and don't get distracted with the bling of this world, then stick with them. Don't put yourself into a category - just concentrate on learning the Word of God and trust Jesus to save you - you'll be just fine. Voddie is a good Bible teacher. Don't worry so much about his strong stance as a Calvinist. He's simply saying that the world has forsaken the real truth - Christ Jesus and what He did for us at the cross.
Can someone post Voddie preaching on Lordship Salvation. Like publican who beat on his chest in repentance. A good tree does not produce bad fruit.
We read in scripture about the growth of Apostasy in the last days.
Amen

calvinism maligns scripture and the character of Elohim.

John Calvin burned people also
Calvinism definitely weakens the truth.
