The first time I saw the worm, I was in the middle of Omoroth's boss fight. He swam undeneath the arena and I nearly ran away because I thought he was joining in!
A great tip to fight the worm is the Crossbow you can craft with solarium. You can just spam the special through his head and kill all body parts at the same time.
Since we have the atlantean worm, theres a possibility that theyll do under-underground biomes next? Maybe we'll get atlantis underwater biome next area?
I died to him once, and now my world is corrupted. Chunks of random outer biomes have been spawned in all over. I have an M shaped magma quarry across my sunken sea beach, a V shaped crystal cave in the middle of the forgotten ruins, bodies of water in the clay caves replaced by ocean water... I can't wait for them to fix the bug.
They had a hotfix yesterday that I think addressed this issue. I killed the boss last night and didn't have any issues with my base afterwards. *crosses fingers*
That's promising. I probably won't summon him again for a while, but at least I can be confident it won't get any worse! (I'm glad I ate his heart, serves him right for replacing one wall of my core base with sunken sea biome)
My base is at sunken sea, so if I fail and die during boss battle, does it continue to swim and destroy everything after my death? Meaning my base is gonna get rekt? I've been wondering this from the start of the update and haven't done the boss yet. Also thank you for the great videos! I like how you make them very compact but understandable. And I especially appreciate that you put "Outdated" notices in older videos so we know what information is the latest and can be trusted.
Thanks! I try to keep things relevant. Nothing bugged me more when playing Minecraft then going to a video and learning I can't use the tricks in it because its been patched but I didn't know. To answer your question about the boss, he shouldn't stay up and wreck everything. When you die he quickly submerges and then just swims away. Just don't fight him near your base.

A word of advice Be careful when summoning this boss, as he had destroyed my base several times. Luckily, I had a world backup. Most likely is a bug.

yup happend to me and YES its fixed you can now fight the worm and die as many times as you want !
