Who Gives a Rats Arss what the "TOOLS" have to say about your Equipment & YOUR T-RUCK. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK DUFFY, THE PAST FEW VIDEOS HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR BEST. YOU definitely seem HAPPY & CONTENT & THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS
Don’t worry about the arm chair farmers and the rice burner heroes! Do what you do and don’t worry about the dumbasses! Fix the harrows up! Looks like it doesn’t need much!
Keep fixing the old stuff up I've never brought anything that didn't need some work but that's why you get things at the right price!! Cause others scared to fix it!! Keep up the good work!! Hi from the UK
Hey if y'all thank he needs all this new stuff buy it for him. He does great with what he's got. Not everyone wants to be in det for life. Keep up the great work.
I like watching your vedios because you work on your stuff even when you aren't sure what you are doing you teach while you learn and to me that is a true farmer, the haters are jealous
I admire your work ethic and your willingness to work on thing and make what you want! A lot of farmers these days just run all new so they don’t have to work on things and their kids now don’t know what it’s like to run older equipment. Don’t worry about the spoiled haters just keep doing what your doing!
Awesome buy!!! Just ignore the armchair farmers how don’t have a clue. Farming isn’t about having the shiniest paint. It’s about surviving and being able to feed your family and put some money away hopefully. Your doing it right. You nailed it on the head when you said, you’ve got a welder and can fix stuff. Keep the great videos coming.
Dude, you’ve killing it with the gear you’ve got. Better than spending major money on gear that’ll give you issues too. Dig the videos, keep them coming.
R MODEL MACK , VALUELINER . SIMPLE , MECHANICAL . LAST YOU A COUPLE OF MILLION MILES OR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE . BONUS , CHRIS YOU KNOW WHAT TO SAY TO NAY-SAYERS RIGHT , THE kamala cackle , PERIOD !!!!!
You don't have to explain yourself, what you buy or buy or where you go. Fuck all the negativity man. You make great content and there are a lot of us in here that are just along for the ride and enjoy it!!! Keep up the great work my man!!!
Been subscribed for a while now. Don’t recall you buying any junk or anything you can’t fix and in the process saving yourself some money. You’ve got skills, drive & ain’t afraid of a challenge. I appreciate you taking us along for the ride & letting us see things we probably wouldn’t get to see in our daily life. Don’t sweat the negativity or doubters. Appreciate it!
Much love from Rhode Island !!! There is a reason you don't see toyotas on job sites or farms across New England they are great highway trucks but not workhorses ! I like your truck and I'm a ford guy !!!!been watching since the beginning keep up the great content
For the people saying all you buy is junk if they don't like it then they can buy you new equipment if you have the tools and aren't afraid of a little work then buy used
Come on guys, we all know that Duffy buying and using all new equipment would not be the real Duffy Ag. Every video is a course in fixing old equipment so it can have a second or third life. Keep on Duffy, we like you the way you are.
Basket rollers are easy to make, you can make em egg shaped and it not matter. You can make em with old tines sticking out, extra disks on them and so-on. The carrier is a carrier and can handle a lot of things. The possibilities aren't endless but there's a whole book on it. The baskets on this one are designed to pick up clods and carry them inside to break them up. Looks like it just needs some paint and about 2 feet of new FeDiOT reflection stickers. Supposed to have white and red right against each other, not separated up like is on it. With its width I'd definitely get some reflectors mounted on some spring tarp clips to put on the baskets sticking out both sides.
As long as your happy an your check book is happy that's what counts. Big difference between wanting something an getting what ya can justify ( afford) . Roll on.
I don’t get the people who make negative comments on RUclips. One, I think it’s bad manners and two, if they don’t enjoy watching why don’t they watch one of the millions of other videos on RUclips. I think some people’s mission in life is to criticise those having a go. Very sad. I think you do a great job of farming on the budget you have. Chris, I’m sure you know you that have far, far more supporters than negative nellies👍😁.
I run a 9n on my (currently broken) 1950s hay rake, a 70s ih on my discbine (old, used, got on auction for 1500), and my backhoe is from the 70s, my baler tractor is an 08 that I picked up for $1050 on auction because reverse didn't work, $200 in parts and 10 hrs of work and been using it for 5 Years no problems, just maintain and wrench to keep saving money!
GMC American made. Just like our farmers. Your sierra is a great looking truck. Everything that works hard will eventually need fixing. A fact of life. Be proud that you know how to do most everything. Replacing that switch in the parking lot was impressive. Of course Yenko giving moral support always helps. Ignore the armchair experts! Love your channel.
You pulled that truck right up on the curb and fixed it no problem. Impressed for sure everyone should be. people hate it’s whatever you had the knowledge. You built that truck. Fuck trading it in.
Great video as usual... and for the ones having to run their mouths, just ignore them, they have probably never farmed a day in their life, and Mommie and Daddy probably buys their vehicles for them! Keep up the good work Sir!
It’s your money, spend how you want. Only way to learn is by doing, sometimes you win, you lose or tie. I’m a RAM guy, but screw Toyota’s they can get you to point A n B but there not hauling heavy stuff or found in farm work.
It looks fine if it does the job it should shes fine. But who else thinks duffy should get some extra land and run cash crops like grab 7700 turbo jd and run like 50 acres maybe 20 cuz from what ive seen duffys a hella good corn farmer maybe try his hand at some soy and wheat also?
I see you shop at Duluth Trading, me also only pants i wear comfortable. Who cares what the equipment looks like as long as it gets the job done. Peace and God Bless.
You're all good, Chris. People that spend their money to buy equip don't come out and say "your equip is shyt" to someone who just bought the piece unless if they know each other well enough and know how the other will take it. They're probably also some of the first people to female dog all the time about how no one has any respect anymore.
Keep up the great content. Those that think you need new have know idea the price of new. Haters can just not view the video's. It will work out in the end.
There will always be armchair farmers that has never even been on a farm . i grew up working farm baleing hay . had herfords in FFA and understand eveything you do and you do good
I mentioned the rocks before only because I thought the dealer was disrespecting you by not cleaning it out. Any disappointment I had was in the dealer, not the equipment or the buyer. Keep 'er rollin'.
Not a fan of the Chevy but you drive what you want to I will stick with our cummins and our new powerstroke. If my simple drag knocks down cow patties and level ruts I'm sure the dual baskets will be even better
Duffy, with a welder, basic tools, your tenacity, and your mechanical knowledge, you have all that is required to repair your farm equipment. You have repaired everything on your farm from heavy diesel equipment, your truck, including modifying various pieces of equipment to meet your needs! Hell, any man would be proud to call you son!
Key board warriors!!! Sitting in mom's basement!! Like to see a Yota pull that gooseneck 🤣🤣 Keep on trucking buddy! Awesome videos hope to catch up with you someday 🍺
Ppl are ridiculous. Looks like those rolling baskets has the mounts for the spike bar attachment I personally would add that with the air seeder for better seed to soil contact.your obsessed with 8 row corn planters lol we plant 1100 acres of silage corn every year with one 8 row planter in the hills of northern pa. Stay with 4 rows just buy a newer planter and make it into a 1 pass machine saving time, labor, compaction, and fuel . Just thought thanks for the continued daily content.
I want a 8 row so I can plant more with one fill up not relay on having seed and fertilizer brought to me. And to line up with the 8 row cultivator be able to cover more ground in 1 pass not have to drive over it more
if you were going to 6 row I have a like new always shed kept 183 cultivater bought new at Binkley used only in green beans I would part with.but I understand your trying to keep your width narrow for road transport
Keep doing what you are doing. Dont listen to the Nay sayers. I love the channel and your content so dont let these know it all pieces of shit get you down. From Kentucky
BUD!!!!! DONT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE ZERO CLUE WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I know 3 people with 5.7 tundras. Nice little half ton trucks no doubt. But they can’t tow 25-30 thousand pounds for thousands of miles 🤣🤣🤣🤣. And you bought that right. Do a little work to it and you save THOUSANDS. Your doing a hell of a job. As always WORK SAFE 🇺🇸🇺🇸😎😎. HI YENKO
And if you did tow that much with a tundra they wouldn’t go 400 thousand miles. 400 thousand miles is just breaking in an old first gen 12 valve Cummins. Lol.
lol...people....lets see them start farming with ALL NEW EQUIPMENT....unless they win the lotto, or daddy funds them....shut your pie holes....and if you own equipment...by golly you work on it, or, go broke paying mechanics and shop fees....lots of arm chair know nothing qb's.....keep going brother...you're dong just fine...
Some people sheesh!!! Don't sweat the idiots Chris. Some people DO NOT REALIZE FARMERS ARE NOT MADE OF MONEY. You go with what you need to do the job. They don't seem to realize these damned things new are expensive. You can make this seeder work and work well. I am more worried about the chopper. If you find components cheap for your backup chopper crack on it buddy. Especially that gearbox. If you can get another head cheap with a blower that is what I worry you can do better with. Ya'll are doing great Chris. Crackin.
I broke out laughing when I seen the title! This from a guy that tore his tranny apart in an Auto Zone parking lot 300 miles from home. "I'm not afraid", that is the best comment of the video, buy cheap, sometimes less than perfect, then make it workable for YOU! These "Karens" wouldn't have anything to bitch about and you'd have less content for us to view. Hang tough Chris, you're pushing forward towards your goals, not theirs.
Anybody that says you should just buy new, never grew up repairing what you have. I'm 76 yrs old and even thinking of replacing something that can be repaired, is the last thing that would come to my mind.
" I have a welder and I'm not afraid". Get that on a shirt Duffy. Keep up the good work love the videos. Peace and love from Northern Ireland. P.S. " smooth landing junior" would be another good one for a shirt . Totally not awkward or embarrassing just trial and error, only awkward and embarrassing when a customer drives away with it and starts to use it only to find it doesn't work.
Forget the commentators sitting on the sidelines judging you and your operation. Most of them are playing farm simulator and think they’re “farming”. And for the ones who aren’t and making nasty comments, they only act superior bc they’re sitting behind an electronic screen. Keep up your hard and good work.
Years ago on tv they asked a billionaire if there was as much opportunity as when he started. They were negative and not expecting his answer. He said absolutely for every opportunity there are always people who could only see the downside and people who could put the pieces together to make it work. If you only bought new equipment or equipment paint to look new you wouldn’t have squat. You’re definitely putting the pieces of the puzzle together.
Stick to you guns. People can say a lot of garbage especially when they don’t foot the bill or have not even tried what you use. I enjoy your videos and you are making the best choices for you.
You need a culti-mulcher. It would help level you ground before sending grass so the rocks might be pressed down so the mowers don't hit them so bad. The good thing with your baskets is you can run it after cutting hay to help open the surface so fertilizer can get to the roots better.
I can't wait to see what you come up with that thing would see grass and cover crop like nobody's business man is still using the little bitty seater that you use in out in a timely manner and hey even new pickups break down at least you can work on yours on the side of the road if you got parts some of the nah Sayers would probably have to call AAA and spend several thousand dollars love your channel love what you do keep doing it and I'll keep watching
Well here is the reality. You are not a big farmer, you know that. You are good at working on things, you know that. That appears to be what this channel has going a lot is working on things. Kind of neat to see some older smaller stuff still getting the job. Keep up the good work. I enjoy the.channel.

Heck the tires and rims and cylinders are worth what you paid so you ain't out on anything if it don't work 🤷

Don’t worry about the arm chair farmers and the rice burner heroes! Do what you do and don’t worry about the dumbasses! Fix the harrows up! Looks like it doesn’t need much!
People that dont wrench or fabricate dont have our vision and confidence. I applaud your lack of fear to take on projects

His money, he can spend it how he wants. Nothing wrong with rebhilding and reusing older equipment. I know alot of small operations that do that.
Exactly right, And I enjoy seeing Duffy repairing his equipment as its part and parcel of what he does.

Went out and got some Cabot Seriously Sharp cheddar cheese, not much of a selection here in Iowa. That being said, it was awesome!
Double basket will work great for your seed bed . It's a score in my book . The single baskets aren't that great .
Caught it quick today
Thought about pulling it behind your disk? Makes a great seed bed for corn and hay
