I'm so jealous of your collection man! It's epic! All I have is a bunch of One Piece right now but I am looking for the next series to read and add to my collection. I've heard only good things about 20th Century Boys but I really want to spend my money wisely. I really appreciate good artwork but of course must have a good story as well. Got any other recommendations or should I just go with 20thCB? Thanks! I appreciate it.
Sorry I didn't see your comment sooner, yes I have tons of recommendations! I Am A Hero is a newer title that I would highly recommend. Also, Monster, Vinland Saga, and Parasyte are all beautiful series with amazing stories as well.
Woah! Shocked you collected all of that in just four years! Awesome collection and really great commentary, too. Opus was never completed because the magazine it was serialized in was cancelled, though. Kon didn't actually pass until 15 years after its publication and never finished it because he began work on Perfect Blue and considered the manga a failure. Also, nice to see such praise for Slam Dunk! I've always wanted to check out Real but never got around to it. Is it worth a go? Thanks for the info about Blade of the Immortal, too. I've wanted to read it for a while so I'll go for the omnibuses when they're out.

I've been watching anime/reading manga for more than a year and I have 17 volumes of manga. This is reeeally impressive! (I have 1-5 Kuroshitsuji, 1-6 Noragami, and 1-6 Tokyo Ghoul)

This is absolutely amazing! I would love to have this amount of manga to enjoy! Although I have always been a book person, and have many other types of books too. I actually carry my favorite manga With me when going for day trips. It has 11 volumes that fit well into one of my many backpacks. I prefer my manga to be paper back and in Japanese. Although I do Have some of both types. What a great video. I just discovered a new to me series and will most likely end up getting it in English and Japanese. Thank you for sharing!

I'm about to start my own manga collection because...I have to admit, now that I'm turning 20 I just find that reading manga online does not give me as much joy as holding the actual copy (plus, you support the creators when you buy them). Can't wait to go on a manga shopping spree!

Couldnt agree more. The scans are pretty bad most of the time and its not good for the eyes. Having the physical copy feels just better ^^
Iam curious if you read and like Chobits and Nieskoi ? bc Iam planning to pick up them but so hesitant. They both shojo and I don't like shojo that much! But they have good reviews almost everywhere!
+Last Ghoul Nisekoi is really more of a harem, though it definitely starts out strong but they really introduce too many girls.
I haven't bought manga for 2 years. I'm deciding to either buy the Bakuman box set, Vagabond Vizbigs, Flower's of evil, Monster or Parasyte. Which series do you recommend for me to get? Thanks awesome collection :)
Definitely Vagabond and Monster. Those are by far the better series out of the ones you listed. Though keep in mind they are a bit heavier, unlike Bakuman which is more of a fun read.

I myself enjoyed it very much as it is a Shounen with dark themes. The mangaka is continuing the manga but it is a quarterly release.
where do you buy your comics from? I use rightstuf & amazon for manga but, I don't know any good places for comics.

I have a question about manga and posting it on youtube! I want to do manga related videos sooo bad but im just wondering that if you do show a certain manga, or a whole collection of all sorts of manga, you'd get a copyright claim?? I just want to know if you have ever gotten one or if it is even possible to get a copyright claim or strike when posting these kind of videos (Along with reviews!) Hope you can anwer this for me!! :) Really love your collection! Great choice on buying the manga that you have! This is my goal hehe :D
Nope. The only way to can get a copyright with manga is if you show a clip from the relating anime, or use copyrighted music in the background. Hope this helps :)

Hey man I've never read any manga but I watch a lot of it on tv especially full metal and fairy tail!! Im a huge comic book reader so I think the black and white aspect might be what I'm not into? But any way I don't have a lot of room on the shelves but s there a series that you would recommend for someone just starting out!? A must read? Or must have!? Great videos man! +Shane Donovan Yeah absolutely, some good starting series are Death Note, Slam Dunk (though this is definitely a personal opinion), and Vinland Saga. Both DN & SD are fully released, but all offer incredible stories and really exceptional artwork.
Picked up Death Note today vol 1 CAN"T PUT IT DOWN!!

Astro boy was the first manga ever made. thats why the animation isn't very high quality. you have a very impressive collection of manga.
